A great many things. The rules governing the magic of the Fae are... complicated, sometimes seemingly arbitrary. I will try to give you a concise explanation.
My magic is based around truth - Fae magic is generally based around a certain concept, and mine is no different. In my case, I can determine the truth, and even alter it. This comes with many limitations, chief among them being I cannot use my abilities in any way that would completely end a conflict.
That is why I can say "I have two cups of tea in my hand" and have that be the truth, but I cannot simply say "Fen and I are on amiable terms" and have the same effect. Such an anticlimactic resolution to our conflict would be... dull, and boredom is practically poison to the Fae.
