(gets up) Magical aptitude is required. If one is completely untuned to magic there's little chance they can harness even the basic spells or hexes.
I am no teacher or scholar, but the basic rules of working with Glyphs are these: you need the Glyph inscripted in some sort of medium to channel its power with the use of your own energy. My... superior used a spellbook for that. I, due to the tattoo on my back, can use my body as a medium for Glyphs instead, but normally one would require an object of sorts.

Hm.(frowns, thinking) I suppose something simpler should be used first. I understand that such PDA is a complex device, is it not?
...a firearm could work.(sounds rather hesitant at the mention of the firearm for some reason) A simple one, like a pistol. Am I to understand that you wish to learn how to use Glyphs?
There were people coming to take Katarina away. They said she was dangerous and that people were going to be at risk, but she's my friend. And they tried to take her by force, so I fought them. One of them died.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?W-well...
I-in time here, w-was healed multiple times by magic, b-both direct and via potions. A-additionally, l-learned some...healing spell a-as well. I-is small, but is there. -performs an incantation that Junon taught her, causing green sparks to form at her fingertips before it quickly fades out-
A-as for damages, m-magic seems to affect me as do most i-inhabitants of place, w-while charms t-that I do understand i-is less effective in affecting me. F-for instance, a...demon, if you can call it, called K-kyubey tried to offer contract with me. R-refused both times, just shot him and made him g-go away.
Empowerment wise, someone t-taught me how to use machines to generate r-raw magic, if you can call it that. B-but its more a power generation m-method, and without output, c-can't really be used.
Oh, a-and may have used magical materials as explosives as well.
всегда веренShe's my friend. She's being chased. People want to take her away and use her. She's like me. I don't want to leave her.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?(listens, in her hands a piece of paper and a pencil, writing down notes with the book as a pad) Any side effects of being healed?
Also, how does the demon in question look like? Will be notified the moment the scourge shows itself up.
Still, that you can do basic magic shows promise. You being so easily enticed by the book had me worried.

...hm.(nods, putting the notes away) Alright then. I suppose we can start with a basic weapon Glyph.(extends her hand into the air, something seeping out of her fingertips and then materializing into the air, a sort of rune resembling a rapier. It appears to be flat, existing only in two dimensions) Do you wish to have it attached to an item of sorts or would you rather try absorbing it directly? Mind you, the latter can be dangerous to you if you cannot control it. It shouldn't kill you, but it can hurt you badly.

It's Confodere, a rapier glyph. Observe.(thrusts her palm forward, the phantasmal blade in a color of dark gray materializing by her hand and causing the very air to ripple as it disappears as fast as it was summoned) Since the gesture is fast enough, you can surprise someone with it or use it as a normal weapon if you are precise enough.

Hm. I suppose it depends on magic in question. Myself uses Glyphs, an art of Ecclesia(seems to wince at saying that word) that works by harnessing the effects within runes and releasing them with right prompts, but there are other ones that I am most likely unfamiliar with.
...Nikola's lightning comes to mind.
Also, is it all technology back in your home then?
