He doesn't think he's me. He doesn't want to be me. He wants to be a person. Why can't I let him?
Do you know what that's like, Fen? To find out everything you thought you knew was fake. Everything you thought you'd accomplished, what you look at in the mirror every day, the thoughts you're thinking, they're because someone else made you, as a tool. A construct that was just a means to an end that's already been completed. You're not my real daughter. You were never anyone's daughter. Nobody ever loved you. You thought you were Fen because I wanted you to think you were Fen. That's why nothing in your life makes sense. You never had any will to begin with. Nothing about you is worth remembering or cherishing or being proud of or sharing with anyone because it was all lies.
The worst part of it all is that I'm not even lying. There's nothing you can do to make that truth go away.
...And you want me to do that to him? Do you know what it's like to hear that, and know that it's true?

There's nothing stopping him from being a person. But you can't change the fact that he's made out of metal. You're lying to him. You're giving him a life he can't have. And when he finds out the truth on his own its gonna be so so much worse than if you had just talked to him about it.He needs to make peace with what he is, and you need to help him do that.
