They're probably rare, then.
You'd think such holes in reality would become known over the centuries...
Still, there has to be some sort of way back.
Have you thought about cutting a hole in reality, Alex? You do have Tudwal Tudglyd's Stone, after all.
Actually that's kind of what I thought on the first day, but- that probably isn't possible. I couldn't make a sword that sharp even with the Tyrant's Stone.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post-they speak in unison-
The Whetstone of Tudwal Tud- -they then realized this was happening-
I'll handle it... It is technically mine, anyway.
-nods-
Basically- The Whetstone of Tudwal Tudglyd... otherwise known as the Tyrant Stone. Is an ancient Artifact- one of the Thirteen Treasures of Britain. It's said that any sword sharpened on it, is guaranteed to draw blood with each strike.
So- what we were thinking- was if we sharpened up a sword enough using it's power- that we could cut ourselves open a new portal, so to speak.
-nods- Yeah... though I discounted it because it's too risky to actually cut open a hole in reality uncontrolled. Plus- I don't think it'd be possible to do that.
Valid point on the first part...
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this posthmmm, I wouldn't say it's impossible given some of the other things I've observed in my time here you're both right about the danger of doing so.
I believe there is actually a location in this dimension that has been fundamentally altered because someone opened a hole in reality but was unable to fully control it.

-nods- Yeah. So- We wouldn't want that to happen.
Yeah. Not to mention travel's probably just as dangerous, if not more dangerous.
We could blunder up, and end up on a planet ruled by cat-people.
Which- we then would probably find even harder to leave than a crossroads...
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postYeah, it is if it's the one I think he's on about.
-nods- Yeah. It is the one you think I'm on about.
Merlin was good at hiding things so... I'd guess that he'd hide a chariot that can "take you anywhere, as fast as the wind" would be another world.
Assuming it was a teleportation kind of chariot, rather than what I think- is that it was a Chariot that was basically just like a jet fighter.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postOh, well that depends on how old you date the legends...
And whether the Welsh Legends happen before Brutus of Britain comes into the picture, because as soon as he comes around- it's not soon after that King Arthur's tale and the Matter of Britain takes shape.
-nods- Right. And of course... when you date King Arthur's time.

Huh... so it's not just about getting back, but making sure we get back at the right time.
Great... I was worried something like that was the case.
How long has it been?
You've only been gone an hour. I thought you were at the beach. So- I went out to get you for sparring practice and I seem to have found this place in doing so.
Huh- so not too bad... Still. Now that you're gone too...
