Depends, what kind of targets do you shoot this Teleforce ray at? If it's people, and it has a safe mode, then yeah it could work, we're trying to edge away from lethality these days. If it's armoured targets, and doesn't have a safe mode, I'd say you should take it up with the military.

"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."Well, it's a big metal... cart, it has a cannon on it, it's basically a mobile cannon piece. You seem like the type of guy who's seen Leonardo Da Vinci's drawings, you know his conical device on wheels that had a cannon on it? That looks close to a Tank.
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."Well, unless you're going to mess up the timeline or something now, the Tank won't get invented properly until around 1914 or something. And even then, they used rectangles, and we still use rectangles for the base today.

"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."Hm, very well. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to attempt its construction before then, hm? Goodness, I'm probably going to mess things up enough as it is, when I return home, what with all the inspiration this room has given me. I should probably keep my mouth shut about all of this, shouldn't I? People will think I'm mad... Well, more mad than usual, anyway.

(Ponders.) ...I was sort of wondering if my teleforce ray would have any useful applications in the field of law enforcement... Do you think it would, sir?
(Returns from the kitchen, coffee in hand. Has a seat on the sofa.)
