"Indeed. Actually, you are quite sharp for noticing that."
He turned to Nel.
"That's why we were forced to have a massive debate, and hammer out the definition of good and evil once and for all."
He recalled that debate.
"The definition of evil is an action which takes more lives than it saves, and does more harm than good. If it takes lives, but it saves more, it is not evil."
He shrugged. "That's what the council of Powersi decided anyway."

I do not have much experience on this matter as the closest things to Gods we have in my world don't do much. However they always do what they believe is right. They are not always correct. We would be better off without them.

"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemHe was about to protest, but then recalled all the corruption in the councils lately.
"Perhaps you may be right." He conceded. "But there are plenty of exceptions. And I, personally, believe our definition is the closest to the truth anyone has gotten to."

Even so, it's hard to take lives. I wonder how many people I've killed in the name of petty war. I suppose that fighting to save the universe can't really be an unambiguously evil act. But I did take countless lives in wars and other petty conflicts. Is it right of me to justify my actions in the name of defending my country? Would it have been correct to let innocents get slaughtered, even if their were fewer deaths overall?
Even if the gods themselves have decided otherwise, I couldn't sit back and watch Aquaria be overrun...
"It is a hard descision to make." He breathed out a heavy sigh of smoke from his cigar. "And sometimes we do rebel."
"But I suppose that's what makes even us imperfect beings." He gave Nel a sad smile. "We must take into consideration the future. Slaughter and slavery tend to make children who will also die. That affects the choice severely."
"Hello." He said to the newcomer.

Not Takamagahara. They only have their own interests in mind. The world must run the way they want it too only because they are capable of enforcing their will. No I'm sorry they were destroyed yes. By Terumi. A rather large mistake on his part. Their restrictions on our power is gone now.-giggles-
"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemMy name is Nel. And this is Rachel. -Nel moves to hold Rachel's hand-
I suppose that all in all, maybe the gods should stay out of the affairs of mortals altogether. If you gods are just as flawed as we are, it seems as though you have no right to judge our actions.
Alternately, if we mortals have reached the same level of maturity and advancement as our creators, have we not progressed to the point of self-determiniation?

Indeed they are rather annoying. Though useful at times. But now they are gone. Ragna will have his revenge and I will watch as Terumi's plans cave in around him.
Then enlighten us Mr. Strife.

"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemI was talking to the new girl here. My name is TOM.

He looked at Johnny critically.
"You just figured that out? Odd. For mortals who do good and right, like everyone in this room, I treat them like my own kind. For mortals who do nothing but wrong: The false priests and the evil ones, I feel about as much compunction in killing them as one would feel ripping a piece of paper."
He continued. "Do not mistake my kind for pure and whole-hearted. That is left to the Messengers, the Cherubim and the Seraphim. I am a Dominiono. A Soldier, and a General."
He looked at him once more. "Next time I offer you something and you don't want it, just say no."
