-Takes a moment, then leans in to let her preen more-
Everything aches and nothing makes sense...

-Factories... an establishment for traders carrying on business in a foreign country*?-
"...I-I don't understand... Wouldn't people be there...?"
*Apparently this is a historical definition for it... which would make sense considering his universe is kind of eclectic. As far as I can tell no one in the series has ever mentioned a factory of any kind, but I'd argue the Sechs Empire probably has some along with its other advanced tech. It's just that it's secluded and has been trying to conquer other places (so no one's really been able to get any of the tech).

Oh, I'm Deznix! Good to meet you and just... Wow! What an expedition party we got on us, huh?

-Frey's sort of awkward smile comes back.-
-She's certain she heard 'Lina'... not 'Lima'.-
"Nice to meet all of you!"
-Oh, right... Time to get going!-
"I wonder what's down here...?"
-She follows after Graves, preparing to get any equipment out of her bag she might need in the event something happens.-
Going Down the Stairs (Frey)
-Frey can't help but wonder if doing the 'echo' thing is a good idea... Especially since there might be monsters down here...-
"I, um... don't think that's such a good idea."
-As for how deep down it goes...-
"I don't know. It shouldn't take too long though."
-...She hopes.-
-finally, the staircase seems to reach the bottom-
-the corridor opens out into what looks like a wide cavern-
-no, 'cavern' is a misnomer, since every inch of this place had its stone smoothed and images engraved upon it-
-there are buildings hewn out of this dark gray stone down here, still lit up with eerie-glowing dim purple lights emanating from scones on the walls of the buildings-
-it certainly seems abandoned... there's no sign of life down here, it is eerily quiet-
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIno sweat!
-these engravings are evidently of high-quality craftsmanship-
-they seem to tell a history, about a civilization of long-bearded men in what seems to be a desert city-state-
-further on, engravings show what appears to be a great cataclysm or upheaval, before finally these people appear in what looks to be a pastoral, idyllic forest, which only has a single building, some kind of house or inn-
-you get the impression that this'd be easier if any of you could read the snaking writing carved into the stone-
-the engravings get progressively destroyed further-on, but it seems like they end when the civilization decides to dig themselves deep below the earth and seal themselves up-
-and build this city here, the final image being a picture of this underground cavern town-
-Graves has disregarded this long storied history entirely and is running off deeper into town-
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOI

-perks up- I'm glad you asked! Y'see, I have it on good authority that this door leads to underground ruins deep below this building - I figure there's treasure, monsters, adventure, et cetera! So I am organizing an expedition down below... to see what's what!
