I think you know not of what I mean. Humans, in all their folly, have created seven great evils - the Beasts - through their mere existence.
The longer humanity continues to pulse with vitality, the stronger these Beasts grow. And the stronger these Beasts grow, the greater a threat they will pose to the Consciousness.
Old rules, old language. How much of this overlaps, and how much of it's unique to the Folk? A door for a human is a threshold for the Folk. A name is a contract. A debt is a favour is a debt.
-Sits down against the wall, rubbing his eyes. A few dried up leaves fall off and flutter to the ground- We need to pick one and suit it to our needs.
-Is on the couch, going through her phone pictures-
They are immortal. They cannot be neutralized by any kind of force. The Beasts hold the right to remain eternally stronger than humanity. When mankind thrives, the Beasts rise to omnipotence. When mankind is extinct, the Beasts lose their ability to grow and eventually become harmless.
Therefore, the only way to ensure that the Beasts will never threaten the Consciousness...
