-Grumbles under her breath-
...
You should have it. I don't need it. -Gently places it back in and offers the carton to her-
-Looks up at Reigen with a small amount of wonder flashing across his face-
...I used to be afraid of you...
...No. They — the last time I saw him was when he sent me off for treatment. The... the doctors, they started changing the medicine, and said it was Reeve's orders... I asked to talk to him myself, since we were friends. He's busy, with the rebuilding efforts, but I know he would see me if he knew I was asking for him. But they told me he couldn't even take a phone call. They told me that for two weeks, and by then it was too late to matter.
You probably don't believe me. That's okay.
I guess privacy's not an issue anymore if this much is on the line...
This all started 'cause of that stupid trial. Like I said, Cloud's had stuff done to him. Part of the "Jenova Project". I dunno what, exactly, but we know it was gross and stabby and probably super illegal. Before that he was a regular human, but they were trying to make some sorta superweapon, and they just kinda used whatever bodies they could find that they didn't think anyone would notice if they went missing.
That's all mostly been dealt with, but recently they found one of the guys involved in the Jenova Project. They wanted to pin him for war crimes, but the problem is everyone else that knew what he was involved with is dead, and Cloud was the only witness. So Reeve told Cloud that either he looks the guy that sliced him to bits for years in the eye and talks about all the horrible things he did in front of a judge and a huge audience in juicy detail, or he walks.
That kinda stressed him out more than we thought, because he's sitting there in the stands and suddenly he just starts sprouting feathers. And eyes. And God knows what else.
I mean, that was enough to get the guy declared guilty on the spot, since making gross alien hybrids is also really illegal, but now Cloud's all melty and traumatised and stuff. So we take him to get un-melted in some clinic near Mideel.
-Far away, an Autobot on a vital infiltration mission to disrupt Decepticon activity in Alaska feels a pang of guilt-
... You're good. You're a good person and I like you.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?...
We agreed. We had a deal. Before all this. That you would let me help you as well.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?-Hal steps up from the basement after a training sesh with Maeva-
-Nodding to Tab-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? You know, they don't give you anything soft like that at the academy. Just sheets. And if that's not warm enough, you throw another sheet on.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Yep. Still, gotta bear it. Military life, and all that. Can't let them thinking I'm soft just cuz I'm from the Citadel.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

Oh.
...
I will help you. I will help you as much as I can and I will make things better than they are. Please.
