Correct. His killings began in 1888. Mostly in the region of Whitechapel inside London.
His reign of terror over London was never stopped until he mysteriously stopped.
No explanation was ever found, and the man was never caught or identified.
Despite killing the little sister of the greatest detectives in the world of that time.
Enola Holmes was one of his victims, the sister of Sherlock Holmes- not to mention the fact that Sherlock had two brothers that were supposedly just as good as he was.
Three of the greatest detectives- and they couldn't come up with someone to catch. Suspects a plenty- but all were found innocent.
Now doesn't that just reek of someone altering probability somehow? Like he would know what could end up with him being caught.
-to Trudy- Murders do happen without guns, though.
-to Bryce- I'm sure you'll find someone.

If he was to find some kind of secret to eternal youth, or immortality. It'd explain why he'd be still around and not dead of natural causes or old age, and apparently still capable enough to be a threat.
If it is him, then it would give a reason as to why I found the symbol of a fountain when investigating the man who sent these people to kill me in the first place.
A fountain cabal so to speak- villains guarding the secret to a fountain of youth.
Influential- and around since the 1900s at least- the symbol was found among the possession of Professor Moriarty and it was described in Richard Hatteras' journal when concerning one other villain that mysteriously disappeared- Dr Antonio Nikola.
It'd be a big conspiracy to unveil. And probably exactly why one of the original members would be here for insurance- their best killer. I doubt Jack The Ripper is a subordinate of the man who wants me dead.
-to Trudy- If people are going to murder, they'll find a way one way or the other.
Guns just make it easier if you're able to get one.
-to Bryce- Do you know anyone who might know?

The things he wouldn't expect.
And so- the lines he'd overlook for one reason or another.
Now that's just giving guns too much credit. I've known people to survive being shot.
-to Bryce- Think of who you know that uses guns.
Probably a good place to start.

And he has the benefit of being an oracle.
... -thinks for a moment- You said the transport man was no concern.
Why?
True.
Guns are definitely dangerous, but I doubt just removing one thing will make murders go down significantly.
Singular cases, at least.

That's... either one hell of a red herring, or so obvious that most people would think it couldn't possibly be him.
Have you ever heard of Jack The Ripper?
-to Trudy- Sorry to burst your bubble there.
-to Bryce- I'd probably suggest getting around to that sooner rather than later.
