Oh- right.
Different worlds.
-stretches a little- Lets see whether I can't get my whole Magi education back on track...
You know- the entirety of reality is made up of laws, and qualities?
Like- the quality of sharpness, or the law of opposites? For everything there is an opposite that exists? Heat and cold, light and dark, and so on.
Magic in my world- is the pursuit of the creation of miracles- by tapping into these qualities and laws that bind the world together.
Intellectual magic is the direct use of qualities, independent of laws, whilst Populist magic is the use of laws to create the qualities you seek.
-shrugs at Assassin- Mot cleanse me, if I know.
-to Cori- Definitely more than three.

1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postTheoretically, but-
That kind of level of magic is something that's inconceivable.
You'd have to be a pretty big savant of understanding, and to find out what qualities would be needed.
Trying to understand time itself... or death- but my opponent has managed to learn the manipulation of death itself.
-to Cori- About... well, I only saw about 5, but that's 6 including their headpiece. 6 is the minimum, I haven't seen a maximum.
-to Assassin- Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this post…
(In his best approximation of this lovely exchange
.)
...So you're tellin' me there's a chance?
...Heh. Ah well, that's about what I figured. Death manipulation sounds like it would be fairly useful...
...God damn. Has anyone written on this place? There—... There needs to be some sort of formal description of all this shit...
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019I wouldn't know. -shrugs-
Yeah- there's a small chance, if only because I know someone who has come here by choice and left before- but that guy isn't a mortal or even human.
And yes- a hex using the quality of death itself is powerful- too powerful, I'd say.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postSome things just can't be explained. -shrugs-
He's- well.
A masked being, I guess.
Golden mask, Chester Aggripson I think he goes by.
He's been here before, I've heard.
I've met him in... not good circumstances. But if you're looking for a way back to your world, if someone was able to do it, I'm pretty sure he'd be able to give it a good try.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postMrgh, I suppose not, but the mind cannot but wonder...
(Has just been contentedly seated there, against the wall, for some time. Scratches his beard a bit.)
…
(Is silent for several long, uncomfortable seconds. Jerkily cocks his head to the side like a bird or some sort of insect.)
...Heh. Eheheheh. Okay. Thank you.
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019No problem.
I'd help you myself but...
The problem there is, i'm not that good of a Magi.
Well- compared to most people I'm probably incredibly adept, but I haven't really improved over the years.
-fucker looks like he's near his 30s-
So, where'd you come from, Assassin? -leans against the wall-
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postIf it helps, I am probably even worse. Heh. I would expect you can at least do your stuff with some modicum of consistency.
(Pushes a hand through his bangs and stares at the sky a little bit.)
...Well, ah... Without revealing too much about my identity, I hail from North America. Yourself?
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019Ah, well that explains it. You're from a nation that existed long before mine.
(Looks at Cori.) And forgive my curiosity, but where are you from, dear?
That's good, then. I would probably practice too, were there a definite point to it. Heh...
(ah heckie, I so cruelly pagebooty'd Ram)

make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019-to Cori- Oh so you're native to this place? Huh.
-to Assassin- So I'm given to believe. Apparently my timeline's a little odd- I've heard of Carthage being wiped off the map at a time before the one I come from.
Well-
Mine's kinda exercise too.

-to Cori- No idea where exactly, but he's somewhere in the Forest.
-to Assassin- That's the plan. It was risky showing Cori here to the mall, but I think I got away with it by keeping my hood up.
-nods-
Yeah, I know.
It's difficult.
Especially since the man's wielding magic that I consider impossible for a mortal to achieve in my world.
