-nods- It is, but- sometimes it was worth it. And we at least had a stopping off point in Iberia.
Though I remember- one journey- we left from Carthage, and went straight there.
No stopping off. It ended up being longer than we expected- our navigator accidentally put us off the coast of Scandinavia when we finally found land.
The longest journey I, and the Golden Band, ever took in our lives.
A great journey northwards.
Would you be able to take me to him?
-watch out for that berserker, Steph, walking into your path!-

-good lord, this man is huge, in chainmail-
-looking moderately grumpy-
Excellent. -he follows-
Pretty much. The Navigator was pretty new- he hadn't done the run before.
I thought it might be a delayed journey, not- getting lost and ending up the furthest north any Carthaginian had ever been for reasons other than exploration or cartography.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postIndeed, I did.
I wanted to weigh up whether to be concerned or not.
We had to land, of course- and get supplies... we paid for our food, and some shelter. Though when they realized how much gold we had, because of our trade mission- they got greedy.
I remember that they murdered the merchant, and many of my friends in their sleep- I woke up because the Navigator came to warn me before being stabbed in the back.
I managed to fight them off- and I warned the rest of us- we banded together, to retreat to our ship- taking what we could with us for the journey. Fighting them off. We went on the mission with 3 ships- and returned to Iberia with only one.
-slowly waves back- H-hhey...

-well you're in the middle of what looks like a mad scientist's lab being stared at by a giant robot with a glowing red eye-
-do you feel concerned at all rider-
I suppose I should have tried to explain, but I've heard of things occurring lately and I'd rather not leave the lab if needed.
-he does feel concerned, yes- ... The servant targeting other servants, I presume?
-nods- Well... there was a storm on the way back- but- compared to having our hosts turn on us out of greed, I'd say it solidly wasn't anything worse than that.

-hey clarice, do you hear the sound of that? something mechanical is also running through the woods-
Laboratory
yes exactly, I'm not yet ready for the type of fighting I hear is going on
-Babbage looks away from rider now, decently sure the man won't attack him-
as for what I am doing, I am trying to harness the power of steam so that I can help humanity progress in new technologies. Those drone machines are just one example of what I can do with its power
-lightens up a little- So you're interested in progress for the good of man with this?
Hnn... -looks over Steph- N-no trouble...
S-see... Aefre...?
Indeed- it isn't bad compared to being sunk. It all depends on where you run aground though. The shores of Roman Territory- are one such place where it wasn't that great to be a Carthaginian.

Yeah, that's true. There's no reason to ignore a good source of trade, especially not when it could hurt an enemy of yours.
But, just out of curiosity, that's still a long trip, isn't it?
