Clearly an outsider who's grabbing at this coincidental straw- that one man leaves parliament after a single day, and a year later, the Red Winter happens.
The fact that he has written books on the occult is what links the two together, apparently.

I wouldn't go that far.
It seems unlikely for that to be the case.
But I can't think of anyone who'd be powerful enough, and yet still be able to hide beneath the radar.
But then- the radar around that time for witches wasn't really that strong.
Witch-hunts were far behind us, even back then.
