Because it's a meme and I only changed the text.

Definitely Episode 6. (Not the sixth endless eight, the sixth episode in the season.) It has the great clock-spinning part at the end.

Although really you could watch all 8, and tune out/do other stuff for most of the time.

@Napoleon De Cheese,

I know, sorry.tongue Just small nitpick. I feel it is needed because some might think it follow a season format, with doesn't. But, then again, the rearing doesn't either.

As one more nitpick, if you call it a second season, you should also say it is a 28 season that included the episodes from the first one. They were aired in the same season, after all.

PS:Stop posting so fast, dammit!tongue

[up]

PPS:Wasn't this one with the courage test? This was the best one, I agree (I may have made a mistake, though). Try not refer to the episode by number, tough. The '6th episode of second season' is sometimes Melancholy VI, depending of your fansubber.

I can't believe so many people are posting this fast! surprised

The last time this happened is when I made a thread in Just Bugs M- *is shot*

I'm just waiting to see which of the middle six episodes are considered the best.

You are going to get different answers from different people. The differences between the episodes are largely stylistic, and some people are going to like one over the other for that reason.

Honestly, I'd say just to watch them, and if you find you can't handle any more, just skip to the resolution episode. There's no reason to force yourself through it at this point, since its not like you are waiting for a new one to air each week, like we were back in 2009.

[up][up]The clock one is usually the consensus (The 5th EE episode; 4th repetition; '6th episode of second season'; 16th episode of the reairing).

Btw, you watched each "season" separately, right? I assume you watched the original episodes in the broadcast order, them (as opposed to the chronological order).

Also, if you're going to watch "season 2", take the opportunity to do a complete rewatch of the entire series, and watch it chronologically. The "Season 2" episodes do not, and were never meant to, stand on their own.

Its amazing how many people fail to grasp this concept though.

[up]I agree. But he just finished watching the first season, so it might be boring rematching it already. Just adding that, if you rewatch, you should do in the propper reairing order. That is it: Start with the "season one". Watch the "first episode of second season" after the baseball episode. Come back to "Season One" until finish the Lone Island episodes. Watch the rest of "Season Two" (all of them) and then finish "Season One".

I would say watch them all I found it interesting on how many different ways you could do a scene and how each time everyone had a different outfit ect. Not a single frame of animation or voice work was reused.

Exactly, a lot of people try to claim that Kyo Ani did this to be "cheap", but that is completely false. Even the script wasn't absolutely identical each time (though it was quite similar).

Err...I'm watching them in chronilogical order, since that is the way most users seem to have numbered them on You Tube. I just finished the school festival episode, with it's 'God Knows' song (the 10th one).

Oh, and I'm watching the dub. I'm presuming "Endless Eight" hasn't been dubbed yet, right?

Costume Porn IMO with each Pool trip. And there are little suprises that popup

Also you really feel for Yuki at the end since you have now experenced 8 of the 15000... And Now I Must Scream at its best (or whatever that trope is.)

Yuki watching is one of the main reasons to watch all of them. Its amazing what insights you can get by how she acts in the different repetitions.

[up] ...What on earth are BD rips?

It isn't that bad. The sound is a little soft, and I have to switch users every few episodes, since none of them uploaded them all, but it can be worst.

...pardon me. I'm going to go into the corner with my Haruhi TV and Shoushitsu BDs and cry for a bit.

BD = Bluray Discs (at least I think that's what it breaks down to)

It does stand for Blu-Ray at the very least.

I actually have the Haruhi-chan BD set. Mostly because I didn't care if I got an English dub. I couldn't afford the $400 for the complete tv series though. I don't know if they're still even selling them.

@chihuahua 0

Why would you watch them in chronological order but watch "Season One" before "Season Two"? This doesn't make any sense. =/ If you are going for chronological order you should watch them in the proper order. That is why "Season Two" was meant to be watched, in the first place ("Season One" was meant to be anacrhonical).

Repeating myself for the nth time, Kadokawa was behind the decision to make E8 8 episodes, not Kyo Ani. Stop blaming the studio for fuck's sake, blame the producers.

Also, if you're going to watch "season 2", take the opportunity to do a complete rewatch of the entire series, and watch it chronologically. The "Season 2" episodes do not, and were never meant to, stand on their own.

Its amazing how many people fail to grasp this concept though.

QFT. Sighs is Light Novel volume 2, which came before Day of Sagittarius and that other stuff.

[up] - What made Kadokawa decide on Endless Eight? Filler content so they could make more seasons and earn more money with Haruhi?

Can I get a full chronological list of the two season's worth? And don't bother including any of the Endless Eight.

Time loop episodes should never ever go beyond one televised hour. Next Gen did it just fine with one hour.

Who appointed you the grand arbiter of what should or should not be done? Seriously. Don't like it, don't fucking watch it. Its not like someone is going to sit you down at gunpoint or anything.

Anyway, chronological order can be found, shockingly, on wikipedia

kalandra: Their original plan was to let the fans suffer through what Yuki did to "build up sympathy for Shoushitsu". They overdid it.

I still say they could have pulled it off if they had actually done some shipping trolling with it too:

Ep1: Slice of Life, first time through, do not reveal the Time Loop

Ep2: Slice Of... wait a minute, this is the same as before. Reveal the Time Loop. Kyon fails to break time loop.

Ep3: Time Loop again, okay this time surely Kyon will... WTH! Kyon failed again! Audience begins to rage.

Ep4: Time Loop- all artsy and fancy direction, odd camera angles, surreal feeling. Kyon fails again. Audience is really mad now, but wait, the preview suggests something different will happen in the next episode.

Ep5: Kyon seems to notice Yuki Nagato's agitation much earlier- spends time with her, then discovers the Time Loop and decides that Yuki is the best chance at figuring out a plan. Spends even more time with her, pumping for information, yet also showing concern for how hard Yuki must be having it, since she remembers everything. Ship Tease galore. Haruhi gets a little jealous at the end. Kyon fails again.

Ep6: Time Loop discovered. Kyon decides that obviously the best person to talk to about this is the resident time traveler. Mikuru and Kyon have extra time together. Kyon is Distracted by the Sexy. Ship Tease. Haruhi is extremely jealous. Kozumi fears for the safety of the world. Kyon succeeds in calming Haruhi, fails to break Time Loop.

Ep7: Time Loop discovered. During the Test of Courage, Kyon decides to attempt Kozumi's plan... sort of. He puts his arm around Haruhi, complaining all the while about how he doesn't want this. Haruhi punches him in the stomach and then drags him about by the hand for the rest of the test. While blushing. Ship Tease indeed. Kyon goes to bed thinking he must have broken the Time Loop.

Ep8: WTH! Time Loop is still going! Kyon finally discovers the way to break the Time Loop.

That way we get tons of Ship Tease material from a canonical source in a non-canonical timeline.
