I doesn't understand the hate for The Village and its ending. Did people really want the exact same ending as The Sixth Sense?
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I've never walked out of a movie, but I did throw away my movie ticket after seeing Reign Of Fire, because I disliked it so much. I normally preserve all my movie tickets in my collection.

My dislike of The Village had little to do with its twist...I just thought it was dull and plodding.
My reaction to the first twist was "Oh cool", the second amounted to a large pile of "I don't give a shit".
Iron Man. People told me that after the Dark Knight films it was the best superhero film they'd ever seen. I did not see it.

Scepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. - Clarence DarrowBecause Iron Man wasn't an incoherent mess with lots of Ending Fatigue.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I've never walked out of a theater but have stopped the DVD player many a time. Recently, I gave up watching Suckerpunch after 20 minutes. I thought I might be able to stomach the ridiculous use of slow-motion and general fanboy wankery but the movie wasn't even fun. Just depressing. When I read about the ending, I thought "Glad I stopped when I did."

To make it seasonal, a recent Netflix Streaming viewing that got cut off after the first 10 minutes was Thankskilling...or as I like to call it, “What a great idea for a joke movie poster! A shame they had to make it into an actual movie!” Phelous’ review is actually a pretty accurate distillation of what watching this movie is like.
I've only walked out on The Boat That Rocked, and that was because my mother decided she wanted to walk out, then asked my sister and the three of us left. Although that movie wasn't exactly one I would've seen of my own accord anyway.
I don't think I've ever walked out of a theatre like that, mostly because my tolerance is really high. And usually i'll find something tangential to think about. Like when I saw Wild Child on some highschool trip, I got into the whole Clockwork Orange aspect of the ending.
We can dance to the radio station That plays in our teethI've never walked out of a movie theater, but I have just plain stopped watching movies that I rented or borrowed. Is that close enough?
Salt: I don't know why, but this movie seemed really boring to me. Story didn't grab my attention very much, had kind of an idiot plot to me, and I actully stopped watching it 20 minutes after I started watching.
Alone in the dark: Do I even need to explain this one?
Day of the dead: No, not the original! That movie is great! I'm talking about the horrible remake. Stupid movie teens having sex while the rest of the town is being rushed by the military, racial sterotipical token black guy, generic plot, bad charectors, The list would be longer if I actully watched the whole damn thing.
There are probably more, but I can't remember all of them.
I was unfortunate enough to watch Salt in the theater. The minute it turned out that she really was a Russian plant, I wanted out. But because I was with my mom, I stayed for the whole damn thing. It didn't get better.
Looking for some stories?I tried watching Kung Pow about a month ago and it was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen. I made it through about 30 minutes and I thought I was almost done, I thought I'd been watching it for over an hour, but no, it just felt that long.
It was a comedy only because that was how it marketed itself as, there was maybe A joke that I laughed at the entire movie. Maybe this is a really funny movie for those that love watching old kung fu movies, I'm not sure, but I just couldn't believe this kind of film was ever even greenlit or the fact that the creators weren't sued to hell and back for their lazy recyclying other movies with obvious redubs that don't hold a candle to MST 3 K or any group of friends on a couch.
Scratch the surface of a cynic and you'll find a dissapointed idealist. The movie being used was in public domain (as are many martial arts movies). This was also how the Gag Dub movies Hercules Returns and What's Up, Hideous Sun Demon? came about.

I can think of movies I wanted to quit but didn't because I needed a ride home afterwards...The Village, for one.
Though in retrospect it probably wasn't THAT bad.
Unlike Meet The Fockers, which was.
Also, MacGruber. It was my birthday and I thought it would be a good idea to watch it. How very mistaken I was. That being said, the very end was HILARIOUS.
