Well, I do have Wisconsin friends up here, but most of my politically-minded friends at the university are from Michigan and Minnesota. Unfortunately. At least I can still vote absentee.

I just moved back to Michigan from Florida, personally.

Sorry ._.

Anywho, can the law actually be repealed now? I mean...whats the best case scenario now?

It might just be declared illegal due to violating the state's Open Records Law. This stuff very seriously has yet to be settled at all.

Even if it is declared illegal, won't the Republicans just do the same thing all over again, only with the 24 hour notification period tacked on? I don't see any way this law isn't going through unless the raw numbers of available votes change somehow.

Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

The reason walker got elected was due to low voter turn out. Things won't be the same next time.

^ It's slightly comforting to know that all the corporate donors in the world can't substitute plain votes.

Even a rigged voting ballot can't disguise a landslide defeat.

I've heard that theoretically, if the folks recalling the eight Republican Senators can get things done fast enough, they could have a recall election as early as June. Revoking three of them would be enough...

Hey y'all! Remember this thread?

If you live in Wisconsin, go vote today, and vote for Joanne Kloppenburg, against incumbent state supreme court justice and Republican former legislature leader David Prosser!

If you know people who live in Wisconsin, remind them to vote today, for Joanne Kloppenburg!

But what if I like living in a dystopian future ruled by megalomanical corporations bent on destroying the working class?

Already voted absentee. Apparently turnout is surprisingly high for a spring election; my mom went today and there had already been 500+ votes cast in our ward (which would be about twice what you'd expect at that point in the day in a spring election in that ward). Of course, it could be that people are turning out because they really want to vote for city council and county executive (lolno).

Does it count if I plan to replace the working class with robots? Possibly through a large robot war of some kind?

Polls are closed, time to wait for the returns. So far Prosser is winning in my county, but it's kind of right-leaning.

So we'll finally know whether the "Great Republican Overreach of 2011" was indeed an overreach eh?

I guess liberals will be crying themselves to sleep if it turns out that there just wasn't the momentum for it, eh?

When my dad voted, he Did Not Do The Research and voted for Prosser. I kind of chewed him out for that.

I guess that if the Dems lose, they'll just say "Well, democrats are smart enough to realize that elections for judges is an asinine concept" or some such.

That's what this particular vote is about right? The judge voting?

Well, there are other elections, but mostly at county/municipal level. The state supreme court election is the one getting national attention.
