Since discussions of it are cropping up out of Tabletop Games, here's an all-purpose thread for players and GM's.
No point buy, I'd probably be too stingy. Plus, this way's more random.
Double the regular starting gold, essentially, but I'm assuming you don't want to carry gold with you in a place with no shops.
I'm also going to ignore weight limits ;)
You roll 5d6, then take the 3 highest numbers as your stats. Like, if you roll 6 5 5 2 1, you'd have a 16.

Meh. Nothing over a 15. I miss point buy. Hmmm...
Still, the stats are really well balanced, which probably has a greater net payoff.
Heh. 35 point buy, but no amazing stats. Well, high Dex + Wisdom + Intelligence + Constitution will seriously pay off. Hmmmm...

Yeah. Though I warn you, Swordmages using the arcane casting in place of maneuvers variant are probably more OP Than CoDzilla's in some ways :P
No divine favor though, so that's a plus.

Oh, I'll minmax. I'll minmax.
Hmmm... crap, I refuse to play a CoDzilla. Hmmm... maybe a Swordsage...
