I think it would run alongside Return Of The Jedi, either with the Musical World Hypotheses that the dancing is really a depiction of fighting or discussion, or an alternate universe where the fate of the galaxy really rest on dancing. The second one sounds like more fun.

I've had this really crazy Firefly/Berserk fusion thing in my head for a while, basically taking Whedon's Verse, mixing in the demons and supernatural elements from Miura's setting, and then letting the crew of Serenity loose on it. It spawned from a thought that the Apostles during the Eclipse were a lot like Reavers what with eating people alive and being a little rape-happy, and then from there led to thinking about who among the crew of Serenity would survive being Branded for Sacrifice. I've also thought about throwing in a little of the Buffyverse as well, for that River as Slayer angle (because if anyone other than Guts can take on the monsters of Berserk, a Slayer definitely can).

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Fix Fic: premise is: there's a guy (basically a Composite Character of Shinji Ikari, Ron Stoppable, Ako Izumi, Nodoka Miyazaki, and pre-timeskip Raki) in class who has a crush on Sayaka like she does. Aaaaand he mostly just serves as an alternate Love Interest to Kyousuke, my intention being that he could help to slow down/reverse Sayaka's Sanity Slippage. Really, a plot device to saving my favorite Magical Girl.
Tropes for the man would include Shrinking Violet, Cowardly Lion, Love Martyr, Megane, and I'd be aiming for Adorkable.
Of course, everybody'd probably be yelling "STU!" at me, and we don't want that....
Cluedo (or Clue, to all you americanos), with the recurring cast of Animal Crossing. Was it Phyllis in Nook's Cranny with the Shovel, or was it Blathers in the town hall with the Axe?
What do you get when you cross a love of Doctor Who with too much time spent playing the Hunger Games MMORPG on Facebook? This...
In a situation similar to what happens in "The Lodger," Donna is accidentally thrown from the TARDIS and gets stranded in Panem - just outside District 12, to be exact. Found by Gale, who helps her make a shelter in the forest, she forms a friendship with Prim and, as a result, is tolerated by Katniss. Donna being Donna, she's disgusted by how the Capitol runs things. After the reaping, she vows to herself that one of the District 12 kids will come home. She bluffs her way to the Capitol, and Hilarity Ensues as she tries to keep that promise. Long story short, she ends up coming along for the entire trilogy.
In the climax, the Doctor finally finds her. But by this time, we're up to Mockingjay and Prim is about to die. Donna refuses to leave without her. The Doctor relents, and Prim is saved. It's a Bittersweet Ending for her, though; the Doctor, having heard how Katniss is affected by her sister's death, decides that no one can ever know Prim is alive and deposits her in the 21st century. In the end, the Doctor asks Donna exactly what her involvement was. She responds that it wasn't that interesting.

Looking for some stories?^ I don't know too much about either of those series, but I can somehow see it working. Nothing's outlandish in the world of fanfic, after all.
As for myself, this is probably the nerdiest idea I've ever had; Homestuck / My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. No, really. Here's what I'm thinking:
- The trolls are a race of either extraterrestrial or extremely foreign equines, who strongly resemble ponies on the outside but have radically different biology and social behavior.
- Twelve of these creatures (I'm thinking of calling them 'Night Ponies' or some other such common name) are sent to Equestria to investigate it for the Alternian Empire.
- They arrive on the premise of peace, one juvenile from each of their race's major blood castes. The Heiress Apparent leads them, with her assistant and a few other highbloods (plus their token lowbloods, most of whom were permitted to travel as accessories to their friends).
- At first the diplomatic arrangements in Ponyville (the chosen host town) seem to go well, but eventually it's revealed that the Alternian Empress has dark plans for Equestria, and she was only sending ambassadors as a ploy to feign benevolence.
- Shenanigans ensue.
So... Bad idea, or the worst idea? I have no idea why I'm confessing to this except that I feel like I should be more active in the forums.

I've returned from the depths to continue politely irritating the good people of Tv Tropes.(◕‿◕✿)Not familiar with either of those, so I can't comment.
On the other hand:
Rebuild of Madoka Magica - inspired by Rebuild Of Evangelion, this would basically be Madoka Magica torn down and Rebuilt in the style of Gurren Lagann - characters may still get Killed Off for Real, but by Takahata they're not goin' down without a fight. Alternately, Puella Magi Madoka Magica + 10000% increase in Crazy Awesome.

It had a guy that was a magical girl for some reason (no genderbender), a shape-shifting hatchet, a Witch with a lots of (large) mouths, and a "faulty" Soul Gem.
"Why does it look so odd?"
"It became like this after..."
*flashback*
"... Are born from despair. This means, no matter how hard I try, no matter how many I kill, there will be more."
"But... Doesn't it make the fighting..."
"Hopeless? Maybe. Useless? Absolutely not. This means, the more of them I stop, the less people would have to be... Like us. After I decided to keep on fighting, my Soul Gem became like this."
"Wait, Witches have Soul Gems too? And you drain the light from them into yours?"
"Yes... Didn't you know this?"
"Gimme that."
*row, ROW, fight da powa!*
"She... She was the Witch? How..."
"Hey, QB... Was there maybe something about these Soul Gems that you forgot to mention? You know, entirely by accident? About what happens when they become all dim, and stuff? The chances of that would be slim, right, but theoretically?"
Also, I should mention that I haven't watched the series, only read about it on two-three wikis. Including here.
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.Berserk idea (VERY SPOILERIFIC FOR BERSERK AND ANOTHER SHOW): an Original Generation Knight in Shining Armor goes about saving people because it's right, and is Genre Savvy to the Clasp Your Hands If You Believe nature of the universe, and his ultimate goal is to become a reverse Knight of Cerebus by transforming the Crapsack World they live in into, at the very least, a World Half Full. So as he goes about doing good deeds, he starts rumors about a force beyond human comprehension, a benevolent deity responsible for the good in people's lives, a motherly being who does not simply bring hope, but is herself the very idea of it.
Our Knight calls this "Idea Of Hope" by the name of Madoka Kaname.
And eventually, he gets enough people to believe in her that she actually comes into existence and is sufficiently powerful enough to balance out all the evil caused by the Apostles, the Godhand, and The Idea Of Evil.
Idea of Evil: "Do you think that you can win ever truly triumph, Idea of Hope? As long as there are humans who demand for a something to be responsible for the ills in their lives, I will continue to exist."
Madoka: "I understand that. But do you understand that I shall counter you with all my might as long as there is even one person who clings onto their hope?"

The Japanese Government x The Chinese Government.
No, really. Japanese and Chinese politicians turn their countries into giant mechs, and go skipping in the Indian sea. Then Japan learns China's "kind of mean" and goes home, and China stands there with a sad face, possibly made of blood.

@ Mr Mallard: Does this involve Mahjong in any way?
@ Beta Ray: It's like a musical, but with more pathos.
Cox: I am a very model of a modern Chief of Medicine!
Wilson:
Greory!
We've been friends for quite a bit,
Not the best friends, I admit,
Please, for sake of our friendship, stop this, Gregory!
Also, looks like I wasn't the first who had this idea
. It has a potential of being hilarious, but only if done right.

Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often. This would have a really limited audience, but a Batman/Die Fledermaus
crossover with the characters of Batman acting out the story of Die Fledermaus.
An episode of The Brady Bunch, with Evangelion characters. I actually just finished watching an episode that'd go well with the characters; Bobby decides no-one loves him and tries to run away.
Needless to say, Bobby would be Shinji. Gendo (or hell, even Kaji!) would be Mike, Toji could be Greg (He's an athelete, after all), Kensuke could be Peter (Well, I needed a middle child :/), Rei could be Cindy (Adorable, if not a bit clueless about the world), Asuka could be Marsha (She's usually the one on top, so this makes sense), Jan could be Hikari (Once again, needed a middle child), Carol could be Ritsuko (Gendo's woman) and Alice could be Misato (She's usually the comic relief, and she has her heartwarming moments).
Sora and Co. wind up in the world of Shadow Moses. It would play like the Pirates Of The Caribbean world in Kingdom Hearts II, and abridged version of the original MGS's story with heartless getting involved in the mess and Solid Snake reluctantly teaming up with Sora's party to hold off the invasion of the weird monsters and also accomplish his mission of destroying Metal Gear.
This is the absolutely ridiculous part that came up to my head: In Metal Gear, Liquid and Snake are twin clones of Big Boss. Here, it would be revealed that Liquid is actually Big Boss's nobody, and Snake is his heartless. In the games there's the theme of Snake actively rejecting the destiny encoded in his genes, in this story this is changed by screwing his heartless instints and keep acting by his own pure instinct.
Yeah, this is a extremely ludicrous idea, but I can't get it off my head. Now that I think about it... KH's story is confusing as it is, getting Revolver Ocelot involved in that mess would probably made the universe explode from the Gambit Roulettes.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

Would it be based on the storyline of Star Wars, an OC advancing alongside the story's events, or an alternate universe?
