Order placed. I will have new music this Saturday and new vinyl in May.
Oh, and while there's no track list as of yet, here's
a good idea of what might be on it. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately, depending on what you like) most of the pre-release stuff is just Thom on acoustic or piano, unlike the full band stuff that came out before In Rainbows.
Man, Pitchfork... Does anyone take you seriously? I think even the hipsters that read you do so ironically. Pitchfork is so far beyond relevant....
That said, I've been waiting for this new album with baited breath.... Makes me glad I just bought some new Sennheisers so I can listen to it with better quality than before.
In times of change, learners inherit the Earth and the learned find themselves perfectly equipped to deal with a world that no longer existsI already made a thread about this
, but granted mine wasn't that indicatively titled, might as well nuke mine and make this the official one. Pretty awesome, amirite?
first new pic of the band to be released

Really exited for this new album, hoping to hear it as soon as possible.
Hellote.I'll check the album out, if only because it pretty much came out of nowhere.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Perhaps one of the ones we haven't heard is 30 minutes long or something.
Also I keep reading the name of "ateaseweb.com" as "a Tease", which let's face it is a bit more accurate.
Words cast into the uncaring void of the internet.Finished listening.
^^I really really hope that's true, because right now the album feels incomplete. It doesn't help that there's some weird lead-in to Codex, too. As far as the "if you think this is over" lines go, that song first premiered last February, so it seems odd for the band to specifically plan this.
The album's alright, but not great. None of the songs feel like the tone created by the vocals match the tone created by the music, except for Give Up The Ghost and Codex.
Edit: I'll give it Little by Little too. That one's growing on me on second listen.

Never was too keen on Yorke's "interpretative dancing", now I'm even less so when it's the focus of an entire video. He can't even decide when to lip sync and when not to. The song is groovy though.
It's kind of sad that the rest of the band figure so rarely in videos.
His look reminds me of Orthodox Jews for some reason.
