I'm inclined to declare them Public Domain Character (or whatever the hell that page is) or something.

Fight smart, not fair.^Especially when the real Bonnie And Clyde predate the movie. We should just be concerned about fixing potholes that are only about the movie.

^Although I'm not sure how standard it is here to place the word "The" before a two-named duo; it usually only comes before the name or title for single person or item (The Hero, The Scrappy, The Leisure Suit Larry, etc.). "The Bonnie And Clyde" just doesn't sound right (and "The Bonnie and The Clyde" just sounds too stupid for words).
At least, Like Bonnie And Clyde sounds like something a person would actually say about a male-female criminal duo. However, I'm more inclined to stick with Bonnie And Clyde and argue its use as a pre-existing term.

I think renaming to The Bonnie And Clyde is enough to clear up any confusion.
I'm satisfied with switching to The Bonnie And Clyde or Like Bonnie And Clyde for the character types. So, does what do we do with the main?
Fight smart, not fair.Second one sounds good enough although Partners In Crime Couple may sound more practical.
If we rename this trope (which I think we should), we could just add the main page to the Ambiguity Index, a page that I'm really glad exists.
The name Bonnie And Clyde should probably be reserved for a useful notes page that describes the historical individuals and how they are used as characters in fiction.
Bonnie And Clyde Couple would be a great name for this trope. It doesn't lose any of the useful information the current title gives, and further identifies that it's about similar characters as opposed to the duo themselves.
Regardless of what happens, though, the Film should stay in the film namespace.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! If it has to be renamed, I vote for Like Bonnie And Clyde. That's how I usually hear it used conversationally.
"Like Bonnie And Clyde" gets my vote if we have to move it.

Someone suggested the name Outlaw Couple. As a member of SPOON, I support this name because it's simple and conveys the essence of the trope.
Rename the trope. Lets have a crowner
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Crowner hooked and options added. Vote away.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Crown Description:
Bonnie And Clyde (the trope) shares a title with the film by the same name and is therefore an invalid trope name. It is also rampantly confused with the actual characters "Bonnie and Clyde". There is widespread agreement that it needs a rename.

Due to Bonnie And Clyde being renamed after work, many links which should be directed to the film, Pot Hole to this trope instead. Should the trope be renamed, repaired or something else?
