Time zones, time zones, thou art indeed a bitch.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Okay, the thing about close-quarters combat? You can parry or avoid an attack that you can see coming. In this case, no. The Neoshadows just clawed upwards from their shadow form flat against the ground, aiming directly for J's torso, and they had him surrounded to boot; J literally could not see the attacks coming—nor react fast enough—until it was too late. Luckily you're not dead yet. Unluckily, easy first-aid mode is off in Romania. Blood loss, organ damage, and possible infection are all probable results of that little debacle.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.-sigh-
Alright, folks, here's the thing: once Altairen and Dantae are in a position to be controlled fully by Sabre, I'm leaving. Not just the RP, but the forums entirely. Put frankly, I've got a whole load of problems (which I will not be going into except with anyone I've already gone over them with, which nulls the point anyway) which I have to solve, otherwise I'm going to have a complete breakdown. And that's if I don't end up at a point where I can't talk myself out of suicide anymore. It's selfish as fuck, I know, and I feel really bad about how I'm going to leave Sabre solely in charge of two R Ps, but I have to put myself first, and this whole website (among several other things which I will also be taking steps against) can't be a factor of my life anymore.
tl;dr I'm leaving when Altairen and Dantae leave Traverse Town.

Against all tyrants.Legionnaire, your personal life takes priority. Loft me whatever notes you have, and I'll handle it from here.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Okay.
Time for me to work out about a dozen plot threads. I'll have quite a bit of trouble handling three worlds at once, though it should be workable if I have a good technical consultant/co-GM.
I'm not complaining about you leaving, Legionnaire. Honest. Sort out those problems first, and talk to us when you're feeling better.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I'm sorry about it guys, I really am. But it's the only way.
I'm definitely not leaving until wings gets back, that's one thing though. I need to talk to him about something.
Against all tyrants.@Star: actually, I just talked to Cygy. She can provide "technical consultancy" until she's up to retake her position as queen GM of this. Until then, I'm the Steward of bloody Gondor. On the other hand, any help would be appreciated, especially reaching out across time zones.
@Legionnaire. Great. I'll drop you a few lines to clarify matters at the last minute.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I'll be a little more judicious with the character-killing. I hate seeing a half-developed character get chopped to ribbons just as (s)he's about to reveal some big development. On the other hand I will continue to punish bad tactical decisions.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.... Do you wanna talk anytime, Legionnaire? Let me know. : <
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987My character-killing tendencies have been greatly exaggerated -_-;
I believe the only person I've deliberately, maliciously killed was Noob's old character. Aside from that, we had Vanitas, who ended up receiving no help from his teammates, resulting in me being unable to not kill him, and two characters who wanted to go to the Underworld straight-up, IIRC.
There are too many toasters in my chimney! This RP's attrition rate in terms of players (not just characters) is starting to make the Western Front look like a cakewalk.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Sorry man. You're a great guy and a great person to RP with, but there's all of one person (out of probably at least a hundred now) that I genuinely trust with the information that'd entail.
We're not quite sure what's happening to Ignis yet; I don't want to kill him, but he needs to fade off the scene (maybe he's slain by something and waits in Kingdom Hearts until his Heartless is slain to become whole again), preferably after giving you the plot details that he learned.
Against all tyrants.

Methinks we need to wait for Bamark so he can end up with Zeron somehow.
