Crap, I still need to get through the first one...

Also, will we be able to port over characters from the first one?

Iz very nice! I loved the first one to bits. Well, except for the ridiculous "survive umpteen waves of enemies that don't drop bupkis when they die" bit in the arena DLC, it was seventeen times longer than it needed to be to be fun.

So that's what Marcus' promotion at the end of Robot Revolution was for.....

We will have guns that shoot guns that shoot rockets but use shotgun ammo.

Sweet!

I am ashamed to admit I've clocked over 100 hours in the game but only completed a playthrough once and I haven't even touched the DLC.

I am entirely too fond of dicking around in that giant, shooty sandbox.

I want a new, more Macross-y Mongol.

Or just take the normal Mongol and make the rockets bend at improbable angles and I will be content.

I want an actual full-auto shotgun.

Granted with my Soldier, Leroy, I have a Dahl Bulldog that has a fire rate of around 1.8 and with Metal Storm active, combined with the bonus to fire rate on my Heavy Gunner mod, it pretty much IS full auto. Still, it'd be nice to have a drum-fed shotgun with a fire rate of like 8 to 10.

And not burst fire like the Butcher.

I want something other than a desert. Maybe an island, with oceans, and a jungle? Imagine Far Cry, but funny, cell shaded, and actually fun!

[up]Yes please. I could even do with some other, more alieny settings, just to get away from too much sand. But somehow nobody ever buries treasure caches on tropical islands anymore =(

Oh my god, ice? I could totally see that working, especially since the last environment was a desert. Oh man, imagine like Antarctica...but Borderlands style. That would definitely be a blast to play in!

I'm hoping for a system that's not so dependent on levels, so I can quest to my heart's content and still get a challenge out of the game.

[up]There might be a danger of empty character levels with that.

There's a balance to be struck between Empty Levels and "attacking anything three levels below you is a guaranteed victory, regardless of skills or equipment".

True though I disagree about the three levels thing. Level 69 with my good (but not overpowered) setup is always a challenge. It can become like that anyway if you get decent enough gear. For example, the combustion hellfire.

Just to put things in context:

I’m sure Duke will have some demands of me and I’ve gotta work on Borderlands 2, right? (laughs)

It may seem nitpicky, but that "(laughs)" at the end changes the tone from a confirmation to a probable joke. Not saying that it's not possible that they're working on Borderlands 2, but yeah.
