Lita: "Yeah Halis has been with us for a while."

Des: "Well if you don't mind, I wi-"

C put himself between Des and Flamel.

C: "I will gladly escort you to the Stormchaser and show you around. Along the way you can enlighten me with your Alchemical knowledge."

Gliding atop Nightmare, her turns to lead Flamel to the airship. Des rolled his eyes. Lita just suppressed a chuckle.

Lita: "I've seen you on a few raids, Halis. You finding them ok?"

Preston's House, Goldenrod City

Milagros and Rourke were now waiting in Preston's living room. The house owner seemed to be taking a while getting drinks.

Rourke: ...you think he's okay?

Milagros: Not usre. He should be back in here by now-

A yellow-spined Zoroark would suddenly walk into the room.

Zoroark: <...>

Beat.

Milagros: Uh, Preston? You still in here?

He would look at the Zoroark.

Milagros: I-Is this your Pokemon?

Zoroark (Preston): <I... should have told them that I was a weremon before they came over.>

Rourke: W-Wait. Preston? Is that you?

Preston: <Wait, you can understand me?>

The two visitors nodded.

Preston: -blink- <Well, that makes everything a lot easier to deal with...>

The recently transformed Preston would sit down in a chair across the room.

Milagros: So... when did you become a were-pokemon?

Preston: <Every Godfrey member is a weremon. We all become weremons when we join. About Godfrey though...>

<See, the company wasn't always as shitty as it is today. The old owner was really nice and not a terrible person like the rest of the company's admins.>

Rourke: Yeah, that Barnaby bastard needs to be bought to justice. Which reminds me, do you wanna help us?

Preston would shake his head.

Preston: <No, sorry. I mean, I'd help if I didn't even feel comfortable saying the company's name.>

The Zoroark then jumped out of his seat and yawned.

Preston: <So. I think I'm gonna go for a walk. You guys can come if you want.

Rourke: Yeah, why not?

Mahina: Oh. That's... Good?

-looks around-

Flamel: <...Sure.>

-to Halis- <Makes sense. I'll talk to you about the you-know-who when we get inside.>

Alex: What are you, a cop? Go meet them yourself. And it's Vogel. Alexa Vogel.

Klinklang: <Alexa, manners.>

Alexa: I can have whatever manners I want you bucket of bolts!

Halis: "Uhh... wait, a few? Are you sure that was me and not someone else? I was only around for the Mobile Base, if I remember correctly."

They shake their head a bit, following the group before whispering back to Flamel.

Halis: "Thanks. I hate being left in the dark about stuff..."

Almost to the Stormchaser

C: "So tell me, what developments in alchemy have you accomplished in your long career?"

Lita and Des hang back a bit and talk to Halis.

Des: "So you're Halis. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Des, Lita's Dad."

Lita: "Time travel, gotta love it."

Des: "I guess one of the yous could have been one from another universe. When you hang with these guys you tend to encounter multiple versions of yourself."

Viridian City

(Kim nods, then goes to her notebook.)

Kim: (to herself): “Vogel... okay, thank you.” (She looks up.) “I apologize for that... I’ll be going into one of the ships myself, then. Thanks for the info.”

(She promptly releases Paul from his PokeBall and turns to him.)

Kim: “Come on, Paul. We’re going in.”

Paul: (looks around nervously): <<You know, I’m not really sure if we should go into these airships... they look scary...>>

Kim: “What was that?”

Paul: <<...>>

Kim: shrugs “This is why I need to speak to one of these Monese experts...”

(With that said, she takes out her notebook, and Paul and her enter one of the three giant airships.)

The airship in question is the second unnamed one near the Stormchaser.

Correct Lumiose, Warehouse

Mysterious Figure: Oh those are all pretty good. Not the answer I'd expected you to give but that answer is wrong too. I get how you could assume like, demonic wibbly woo especially with the circles but that summoning expired already. No I'll just introduce myself: Veritas, Kept From Self.

-Monopeko just kinda looks unimpressed-

Lucian Macraul: I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say why does that matter?

Veritas, Kept From Self: Well I dunno, I just wanted to say my name. Anyway, uh... Any questions before I do a thing?

-She smiles broader than she should-

Halis: "Time travel? Huh... interesting. I'll have you know I actually ended up in multiple universes during that whole 'Mobile Base' incident, though, so I'd definitely believe it. What were the other mes like, I wonder...?"

Halis sighs.

Halis: "What exactly did you summon, though? And why are you grinning when this isn't a good situation for you to be in?"

Nimbasa City Stadium

The football match was over. The Nimbasa City's Linebackers lost the game, but Alexa had fun in the exciting match. She pit her Pokemon back to their balls and headed out of the stadium.

On the next day, she took a plane to Viridian City. She had heard of the famous Gym Leader Blue, and she wanted to cheer on Gym challengers. It would be a first for her, but it was incredibly exciting.

Me: Veritas, huh? Truly, a beautiful name...

-Ian tilts his head in confusion-

Me: ...but why Kept From Self? And who is this friend that Monopeko said was imperiled? If you don't mind me asking...

Flamel: <Lots of things. Some of which I've intentionally forgotten how to do again.

-to Halis- <The Phantom Thieves are a group of... phantom thieves. All I know is that they exist and sending in a request on their Phan-site worked wonders giving grouchy old Mer a change of heart. Though... The fact this "Des" fellow knows who they are gives me suspicions.>

Stormchaser, Tagg

Squirps: They are the N-Lunarizer and N-Solarizer, devices designed by one Dr. Colress. They are intended to help control Necrozma's power by altering their biology and making their parasitic relationship with Solgaleo and Lunala mutualistic. I am not sure if it will work with the artificial Necrozma but the real one is still out there and if we can harness its power against Mobius we have a fighting chance.

They get an idea and start heading towards their own room.

Halis: "Hey, uh... Des, Flamel, you two mind following me? There's something I need to show you two in my room."

The red-headed man caught Alexa's eyes. He seemed like he was in some sort of a bind. Nervously, she approached him and asked. "Um, excuse me. You look like you have a trouble."

Viridian, inside the airship

(Cut to Kim and Paul inside the second airship, the latter much more nervous than the former is. Kim looks around, glancing up from her notebook. There initially appears to be no one around.)

Paul: <<...Are you really sure we should be here right now...?>>

Kim: (counting): “...11.” (writes down, cut to her notebook, which reads:)

11 SYLLABLES- SAID WITH OBVIOUS NERVOUSNESS AND DESPERATION. INITIAL THOUGHTS ARE THAT PAUL IS WORRIED ABOUT... SOMETHING. DON’T KNOW WHAT, EXACTLY, BUT IF SOMEONE’S HERE...

Kim: (turning to Paul, with sympathy) “What are you so worried about? Do you think someone’s here?”

(Paul glances down at the floor nervously.)

Paul: <<Oh, no, no, it’s not that... it’s just, you know, we just got here and I don’t really know if we should be here right now—>>

Kim: “I... don’t know what you’re going on about, but you should relax. Besides, this is my big chance. If someone is here and they happen to know Monese, then I finally may be able to understand you!”

(She pauses, then goes back to her notebook.)

Kim: (to herself): “28.”

(She writes down the syllable count in her notebook, then walks further in the airship.)

Kim: “Hello? Is anyone here...? Besides the pink-haired girl with the Klinklang...?”

(She looks down at her notebook, which reads:)

ALEXA VOGEL: PINK-HAIRED GIRL WITH KLINKLANG. NAME OF KLINKLANG UNKNOWN. SAYS SHE HAS A TRANSLATOR. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY TEACH MONESE- I MUCH PREFER TO LEARN THINGS ON MY OWN; THAT’S HOW I LEARNED JAPANESE, AFTER ALL.

(Beat. She suddenly comes to a realization.)

Kim: (to herself) “Japanese...”

(She suddenly nods, then:)

Kim: (calling out to anyone on the ship who can hear it) どこか? ^note  Doko ka? = Where are you?

Viridian

Man: Uh, yeah, Buford here won't listen!

Buford the Bewear: <No you're dumb.>

Airship

Alex: Yeah, who knows, maybe there's an echo in here.

On the airship

(Hearing the voice, Kim turns— and finds Alex standing there, waiting for her on the other side.)

Kim: (surprised) "Vogel?! You... you followed me onto the ship?"

(Paul, meanwhile, sees the Klinklang and happily flies towards him.)

Paul: (happily): <<Ooh! A Klinklang! Hello there; my name's Paul, who are you?>>

(Cut back to Kim, who's still talking to Alex.)

Kim: "I would have thought you would have stayed outside with your Klinklang..." (she looks around) "I was wondering if there was anyone else on this ship, and then..." (beat) "Why did you decide to follow me?"

Mobile Base - Past

Isbrand: "I'll hit up a friend, run some diagnostics to make sure she's clean, and fix her up. If we're going against Mobius again soon we'll need all the firepower we can get."

Shadow Rout - A Few Days Ago

-The PA system crackles to life.-

Zelel: " Intruders. Identify yourslves."

-A woman walks towards Kim and Alex, garbed in white.-

Gabrielle: "Calm down, Zelel. You're much more interested in your job, non?"

(Paul stops talking to the Klinklang, and his eyes grow wide with fear. Kim, meanwhile, is unfazed by whoever is in front of her, and quickly writes down in her notebook:)

GABRIELLE- A MYSTERIOUS PERSON IN WHITE.

Paul: (terrified) <<Who are they...?!>>

3 SYLLABLES- PURE UNBRIDLED TERROR.

(She turns to look at both of them.)

Kim: “Are either of you Monese teachers?”

(beat)

Kim: “Wait... non?” (The realization hits her, and she grows more excited.) “You’re [FRENCH]?!”

Fuka sees the shopkeeper point Jared in a direction and follows herself. In her hand are a pair of hangers with t-shirts on them. One is a red that complements her Garchomp-blue jacket, the other has an image of a Magikarp and the words "Making a Splash" on the front.
