Munnscape
-Joseph is dislodged-
AAAAGH!
-he uses the beads to attach again, and continues to climb-
Come...
-he lashes out again, at the other eye-
ON!
-then suddenly, gravity. He falls, screaming, before bouncing off some well-placed tendrils. It's enough so that he doesn't die, but it still hurts when he lands-

Monster screams again, flailing about. It clutches at its eyes, pained.
Monster: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"
Joseph lands right next to Hero.
Hero: "No... more."
Slowly, he pulls himself to his feet.
Hero: "No... more."
He picks up the katana.
Hero: "No... more."
He whistles, weakly, and there is a mechanical whinny. His steel horse comes crashing into the room, trailing dead horrors.
Slowly, he climbs on.
Hero: "No. More."
He kicks his heels, galloping towards Monster.
Hero: "No. More."
Monster lashes out, slamming an appendage into the ground, wedging it there.
Hero: "NO. MORE."
He drives his horse up the limb, slashing off the surface tentacles that swipe at him.
Hero: "NO. MORE."
Monster swings at him with another appendage, and Hero leaps off his horse, leaving it to get sent flying.
Hero: "NO. MORE!"
He continues to fly upwards through the air, and becoming level with Monster's gargantuan neck, slashes.
Hero: "NO! MORE!"
Monster's head starts to slowly topple off, severed completely.
Monster: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!"
Tentacles spring from Monster's body, wrapping Hero in their embrace. They drag him in close, holding him to the now corpse of the beast.
Hero looks directly at Joseph, tears in his eyes. He mouths, clearly, a final message to him.
Hero: "It was an honor."

Conquistador there is no time
I must pay my respect
and though I came to jeer at you
I leave now with regret
And as the gloom begins to fall
I see there is no, only all
And though you came with sword held high
You did not conquer, only die.
And though I hoped for
Something to find,
I could see no maze to unwind.

Upper Coumarine
-Herbert huffs angrily.-
Herbert: Why are you getting so worked up over this? You saw what this guy did whilst he was working for Cipher, right? He needs to be punished! And if I'm the only one with the balls to mete that punishment out, then so be it. I'll stain my hands so the rest of you don't have to do the dirty work.
Upper Coumarine
-Dune's face sets, hard.-
Dune: "As soon as men decide that all means are permitted to fight an evil, then their good becomes indistinguishable from the evil that they set out to destroy." Christopher Dawson said that. Think about it.
-He picks up Verax into a fireman's carry, and heads to the local Center.-
Upper Coumarine
-Herbert glares - yes, he has been doing a lot of glaring recently - at Dune as he leaves.-
Herbert: ...You'd better be taking him to the fucking police precinct. Because if you're helping a criminal escape justice for torture and murder, then you're no better than he is.
-He turns to Bishop.-
Herbert: Come on, Bishop. I'm done wasting my time with these lowlifes. Next time, that bastard won't be so lucky.
Bishop: <...As you command.>
-The two head off in the opposite direction, Herbert picking up Tsumugari and muttering dark curses under his breath as he does.-

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

Munnscape
Monster thrashes, trying to throw Joseph off. Many of the chittering horrors are sent flying, unable to get a proper grip.
