Shalour Hotel
-Dune and Deziree are curled up in front of a heating coil Deziree made with the materials Dune got last night.-
Deziree: You know... it might be a good idea to get your fight with Korrina over with so we can move on.
Dune: I know I know... Its just way too cold right now. I'm gonna wait until it warms up a bit.
-Dune tightens the blanket a bit.-
Deziree: You'd think that the hotel would have better heating systems.
Dune: You'd think.
Deziree: I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I may have tried turning the thermostat into a weather machine.
-Dune gives Deziree a sidelong glance.-
Dune: ... What?
Coumarine Gym
-Crewe walks in a looks up, blinking-
Huh. This gym is cool.
… Wait, am I expected to climb ropes here?
-she releases Clockwise and points up-
Clockwise: <Pancakes?>
Oh, shush. I'm gonna fly up to the top, 'kay Straw?
-she climbs on his back and takes off, spiraling around the tree until they get to the top, where they land in front of Ramos-
Ramos: Why hello there, young'un! Are yeh here for a gym battle?
You know it, old dude.
Ramos: Well then, show me how much yeh and yer Pokemon have grown!
-he sends out a Victreebel. Clockwise flutters over to face it-
Ramos: A Noctowl! I don't see too many of those around, though Flying types are certainly a popular choice to battle my Grass types with. But I'm afraid yeh won't find this battle as easy as yeh might expect!
We'll see, old man! Clockwise, use Air Slash!
-Clockwise takes off, firing off an Air Slash at the Victreebel. The large plant tries to roll out of the way, but is too cumbersome to get far and is caught by the attack. It is knocked to below half its health-
Ramos: Getting right to it, eh, sprout? Let's get right to it as well, Victreebel. Use Toxic.
-Crewe is visibly relieved and excited all at once-
HA! Yes! Predictable, old man!
Victreebel: <All this poison makes me look fat, anyway.> :/
-his leaf flaps up and a glob of poison sludge flies out and smacks Clockwise in the chest. He looks rather sick as he takes damage-
-struggling not to look smug-
Well, alright then. Can't say I'm surprised.
Ramos: Just because yeh're expecting it doesn't mean it ain't effective, young'un.
Oh, of course not. Clockwise, use Air Slash.
Ramos: Venoshock!
-the Victreebel opens his leaf again and fires out a harsh purple ray that catches Clockwise in the chest and makes his poisoning worse. He winces as he loses over half his health. He still manages to swoop down and fire off another Air Slash, which catches the Victreebel and knocks it out. Clockwise takes Toxic damage, looking worse for wear-
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Coumarine Gym
Just hang in there, buddy. We're almost through.
I'll pull through for you. I promise.
Ramos: I've got one more for yeh, but I don't think yer bird can take out my last tough Pokemon before Toxic takes out yers.
We'll see, old man.
Ramos: Confidence! I like that, sprout. All right, then, here's my oldest friend. Go, Gogoat!
-he sends out the tough-looking ram Pokemon, who eyes Clockwise-
Gogoat: <You're in for more than you bargained for, bird.>
Clockwise: <I like pancakes!> ^_^
Gogoat: <... Hm.>
Here we go.
Clockwise! Use Psycho Shift!
Ramos: Eh? Gogoat, Wild Charge!
-Clockwise shoots upwards as high as he can reach in the library. His eyes glow brightly, and the Gogoat's do likewise. His wings beat a little stronger as his poison disappears and the Gogoat staggers a step as he is hit by the poison-
-regardless of the poison, the Gogoat lights up his fur with sparks and starts leaping from wall to wall to get at Clockwise. While they watch him, Ramos furrows his brow-
Ramos: What's that yeh've done to him?
It's called Psycho Shift! Not many Pokemon can learn it, but the Noctowl line can. It heals status effects—by transferring them to the opponent.
Ramos: … Ah. I think I understand yer earlier confidence, young'un. But my Gogoat is tough. We'll pull through.
Clockwise and I are just as tough as you two! I believe in him, and he trusts me to lead him to victory!
Ramos: We'll see, young'un! We'll see!
-the Gogoat reaches Clockwise's level and hurtles towards him. Clockwise locks eyes with him, then folds his wings and drops like a stone, leaving the Gogoat to slam into the wall. Clockwise lands hard on the ground, and Gogoat skitters back down to ground level, shaking his head. He doesn't flinch as he takes damage from Toxic-
Clockwise, Roost!
Ramos: Take advantage of it with a Seed Bomb!
-Clockwise settles himself down, healing off nearly all the damage he's taken-
-the Gogoat shakes his mane hard and launches several explosive seeds at the sitting Clockwise. He makes a token effort to duck out of the way, but is hit in the side and loses about a third of his health-
-Clockwise opens his wings and takes off again, hovering above Gogoat as it takes more Toxic damage-
Air Slash!
-Ramos tosses a bowl to Gogoat-
Ramos: Milk Drink!
Gogoat: <... Only for you, Ramos.>
-Clockwise lifts off and hits Gogoat with an Air Slash as he's lapping milk from the bowl, which just about neutralizes the damage he takes. He takes further damage from Toxic, leaving him at just above ¾ health-

Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Illusion HQ, Linnéa and Ray's room
- Linnéa is petting her Meowstic -
Linnéa: Hmm... Today is Valentine's Day... (thinks for a moment) ... Maybe I should go buy some chocolate I can share with Ray?
Female Meowstic: (purring) <He'd probably like that.>
Male Meowstic: (laying on the bed, reading an article in a magazine on what to do when your Wobbuffet won't stop using your lipstick without permission) <He might get worried if you go alone, though, even if one of us come with you.>
Linnéa: (looks over at the male Meowstic) Hmm?
Female Meowstic: (tells Linnéa what the male Meowstic said via telepathy)
Linnéa: Oh, good point... (thinks for a moment) Oh! Maybe I should ask Alyssa if she wants to come?
Coumarine Gym
Air Slash again!
Ramos: Wild Charge again!
Gogoat: <I'm getting too old for this…>
-the Gogoat starts sparking again and leaps onto the cabinets again-
-Clockwise swoops out of the library, hovering out above open space. The Gogoat eyes him-
Gogoat: <Ack, birds. Always such pains.>
Clockwise: <Sorry.> ^_^;
-he continues hovering, waiting. The Gogoat frowns-
Gogoat: <Ramos?>
Ramos: … Hm. Rock Slide instead.
Gogoat: <We'll have to clean up later…>
-he stomps hard on the ground to bring up rocks and sends them flying at Clockwise. Clockwise flips, getting clipped on the wing and losing about a quarter of his health. He fires off another Air Slash. The Gogoat darts to the side, dodging entirely-
-Gogoat loses another quarter of his health to Toxic-
-Crewe grins to herself-
If I'm counting right…
Ramos: What're yeh smiling at, girl? One good hit from my Gogoat, and yer bird is down for the count.
We'll see.
Ramos: Hmmm. Milk Drink, Gogoat.
Air Slash.
-Clockwise fires off an Air Slash at the Gogoat. He leaps out of the way, dropping a hoof on the edge of the bowl and flipping the milk in the air. He drinks it out of the air and turns to face Clockwise again as he loses a little over a quarter of his health to Toxic-
Ramos: Wild Charge!
Protect!
-Gogoat leaps up at Clockwise, who throws up a Protect screen in his face-
-Gogoat loses almost half his health to Toxic-
Ramos: We can still pull this through, Gogoat! Milk Drink!
Gogoat: <Ramos…>
Ramos: I believe in yeh, Gogoat!
Gogoat: <I'll do all I can.>
Air Slash, Clockwise!
-Crewe keeps her eyes on Ramos as Clockwise circles Gogoat-
If he keeps stalling like this… soon the Toxic damage will overwhelm him… I can stall him out better than he can stall me out!
-the Gogoat bends to drink more milk, keeping an eye on Clockwise as he circles overhead. Clockwise fires an Air Slash off as soon as he's behind the Gogoat, but he dances to the side to avoid it-
Dodge all you want, you big goat!
-the health Gogoat regained is nearly negated by his Toxic damage-
Air Slash!
Ramos: Milk Drink!
Aha, yes! Force him into trying to vy for his own survival!
-Clockwise circles the Gogoat again, who watches him closely while drinking again. He dodges another Air Slash but the health he regains is negated by his Toxic damage-
If he doesn't get any more health, he can last two more turns. If he attacks this turn, and heals next, he can survive… it shouldn't be more than two. If he heals both turns… he could double that time. Either way, he's done for. His only hope is to take Clockwise out in two turns. Time to make sure that doesn't happen.
-Ramos is clearly thinking hard-
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Coumarine Gym
Roost!
Ramos: Seed Bomb!
-Clockwise settles himself on the ground and regains nearly all of his health-
-Gogoat ruffles his mane and launches off a barrage of explosive seeds. It negates the health gained-
-Gogoat staggers back a step at the Toxic damage-
-Crewe grins-
Ramos: Now, now. We could pull something off in the last minute here, yeh'll see.
-Crewe addresses Clockwise instead-
Clockwise?
-Clockwise hoots-
We have two options. One plays it safe. The other takes a chance. Tell me, do you want to end it in an exciting way?
Clockwise: <I trust you, silly! Whatever you think is best.> ^_^
-Crewe smiles-
All right, then. Ramos?
Ramos: This is our last shot, Gogoat! Use Wild Charge!
Clockwise, I trust you to make this decision.
-the Gogoat braces himself for a moment, then leaps at the wall, and bounces off it to hurtle at Clockwise, his coat sparking with electricity-
Clockwise: <... Oh! I get it!>
-at the last second, he throws up a Protect screen. Gogoat crashes into it and falls to the ground-
-Gogoat loses the last of his health to Toxic-
Gogoat: <Sorry… Ramos…>
Ramos: It's all right, old friend.
-Ramos recalls his Pokemon as Clockwise lands and Crewe hugs him-
YES! Awesome! I know you could do it, buddy!
-Clockwise hoots happily-
Clockwise: <Pancake time!>
Sure thing, buddy!
Ramos: Well, young'un…
-Crewe lets go of Clockwise and turns to face him. He holds out a badge-
Ramos: Yeh believe in yer Pokémon... And they believe in yeh, too... Mighty oaks from acorns grow. Go on, then. Yeh've earned it. Here's yer own Plant Badge, sprout.
-Crewe takes the badge-
Thanks, old man! Let's go, Clockwise!
-she hopes onto his back and flies back down to the ground level, where she leaps off his back at Straw in a hug-
We won!
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!
