Route 12
BRG takes the Dragon Pulse right in the underbelly.
BRG: LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE WANTS TO EAT DIRT!
The massive serpent 'mons leaps out of the water and heads towards the Charizard, water covering it's body.
Sparkers looks over at Val.
<BRG's battle prowess and independence are not results of the trainin' I gave him. They are the results of his last trainer's efforts. Even though he has parted from this world BRG still fights as if he was bein' commanded by him. This bond of trust is one philosophy I cherish.>
GIVE ME YOUR FACEShalour
Constantin: Ah~ this world is filled with many beautiful things, mon cher. Though, I feel as if some aren't as appreciative of this gift as others.
Visqueuse: <This metaphor is so on the nose it hurts.>
Washington: -Just in earshot- < That's my job. Weeeeesleeeey...>
Lafayette tugs at the tailcoat again.
Constantin: -Pets the Braviary- I know, Lafayette, I know... -Looks over at Tagg and Fool and bows once again- I must call in for the night, for I have work to do tomorrow. Hope to see you around, my dear Solana and... you too Monsieur Tagg. Lafayette? Washington? Allons!
Constantin, Lafayette and Washington walk away. Fool sits down beside Tagg on the bench while Visqueuse lies down beside it.
Fool: He usually a lot more friendly than this. I honestly don't know why he was so snippy tonight
It seems that she did not overhear Washington and Lafayette's passing comments on Constantin's feelings.

Charizard spread her wings high and crouched down, but she didn't quite leap out of the way in time. Instead she took the waterfall attack head on, catching BRG with both arms and just sort of sliding across the ground as she was driven back several dozen feet.
Valorie frowned, seemingly slightly uncomfortable watching this. She did however turn her head up at Sparkers and smile at him. "...I trust you." she offered affectionately.
Charizard emitted a rather loud and weak groan, wobbling and collapsing onto her stomach. The flame on her tail was noticeably weak.

Valorie stood back and watched, returning to her somewhat solemn demeanor.
Charizard opened her eyes, glaring slightly at Sparkers through the water droplets coating her.
<Why> she demanded rhetorically.

<Why did you attack Valorie? Do you actually believe someone who you attacked would have your back. I needed to put you in a situation where your trainer wasn't available, where you had to think for yourself, and you got beat up. Charizard, you need Val, just as much as she needs you. I hope you've learned somethin' today. And if you ever lay a claw on Valorie again so help me Arceus...>
He coldly turned back and trotted towards Valorie.
<Sorry you had to see that...>
Sparkers 'mons just look at him with wide-eyed expressions.
GIVE ME YOUR FACESue: -Looking at Constanin and company's retreating forms- <Can I eat him?>
No.
Sue: <Come on, just one bite...>
No.
Sue: -Snorts- <Fine.>

Valorie just sort of looked upon Charizard with a sad expression on her face as the other tried to get up and failed. She was down for the count.
"...Thanks, Sparkers." she replied, ignoring the apology. She produced Charizard's pokeball and seemed to consider using it for a moment, torn between returning her or letting Sparkers' lesson sink in by letting her feel alone for a while longer.
A month ago, she probably would've left her there. It wasn't a month ago; Valorie primed the ball and returned the pseudo dragon, turning to Sparkers again.
She forced a smile onto her face. "I guess Rex is next... He doesn't like listening to commands." she explained.
<I'm no servant for a prissy little girl.> Rex remarked dismissively, somewhat coldly.
Valorie, understanding this for the first time, immediately turned on Rex and glared at him. "W-What did you just call me?!" she demanded, absolutely furious.

<Calm Valorie...>
Sparkers walked right up to Rex and looked right up at him.
<No, not a slave. Partner is the word you are lookin' for. Trainers and 'mons work together, side-by-side. They share a mutual respect for one another. Val took you in and decided to take care of you out of the kindness of her heart. Not so you could become her slave but so you could become her close friend and companion. Ultimately that is what all trainers and 'mons strive for.>
Sparkers yawns.
<We'll continue this tomorrow.>
GIVE ME YOUR FACESomehow I doubt that. Well, I've already got a room over at the Shalour hotel.

Ever: Well, I wouldn't recommend catching this, it's massive.
Cyllage City
Amanita: Yeah, it was horrible. I had nightmares for weeks.
Shalour Gym
Korrina: It's legally mandated for most of the gyms, you know. Grant has a hard time with it since he can barely see the entrance to the gym through all those rocks, but most leaders should have some way to get there if you can't use the standard puzzle.
But enough about League regulations. I assume you're here to battle?
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Shalour City
Fool: Likewise.
So would you like to walk back? You know... together?
