The Whimsicott hops onto Matchsticks back and looks up at the Blastoise.
Patsy: <Don't worry hun. Matchsticks won't be setting anything on fire as long as I'm around.
Matchsticks: <That is true 3:>
Cleo: -Shrugs and places Rembrandt and Vattenfallet down, gently of course- I don't exactly have my normal "casual" team on me at the moment. I've only got Pakhet and Montu here who accompany me where ever I go. Most of the time
The Delphox and Blaziken appear behind Alex and tap him on the shoulder.
Pakhet: <Hi there!>
Montu: <We be Montu->
Pakhet: <And Pakhet~!>
Montu and Pakhet: <How can we be of service to you~?>

Valorie just sort of blinked. "...Oh." she replied, a bit disturbed by the Ketchum!Logic. Why, she couldn't imagine leaving her pokemon behind for any reason! The very notion of such a morality offended her!
"That must be... tough, not seeing your trainer all the time." she remarked, trying her best to pre-emptively empathize.

-Through the door is a room that branches into two pathes with a clock that is counting time backwards between them-
-Dark dust collects in the center of the room and builds up into Soul-
Soul: "Welcome. To the right you have the path of tragedy. To the left... you have the gauntlet. Pick a path. Both must be completed to progress." -Dissolves-

Ajax: <Oh, it's not quite that bad. Dune left us with his... well, I'm thinking of an appropriate term, and the closest I can come up with is "girlfriend". She keeps our Pokeballs, and lets us wander around as much as we want too. We just don't help him in battle as the new team does their thing.>

-to Zeal- "...Well, I was about to suggest somethign like that and though I kinda wanted to take the right path, sounds like I'll be taking the left."
-He heads down the left path-

"It isn't..? I'm really... close with most of my pokemon." Valorie replied, seeming to put deep thought into the issue. "...Not close enough, though. I couldn't mega evolve my charizard, and now she hates me." Valorie added after a moment rather lamely.

(Alex grins upon seeing Pakhet.)
Alex: Oh, hey Pakhet! Have I mentioned how cute you are?~
(Svavel raises an eyebrow at Montu.)
Alex: I have my whole team. These guys are Svavel (who bows), Spalje (lazily waves a vine), Vattenfallet (nods), Tungvikt (<WHO IS HALF-NAKED BABY GIRL?>), and Skugga (<Hai! :D>).
(Lösning is conveniently absent from this roll call.)

Valorie looked away, tugging the coat more tightly around her as if seeking warmth. "...She—um... She's the one that hurt me." she admitted quietly. "I don't really know where to go from here." she quickly continued.
"She knows better... I taught her better."

-Down the path of Tragedy, Zeal would soon encounter a room that is made up many concentric square rings each made up of square tiles with glowing green runes on them-
-Upon entering the room the way back vanishes-
-Every so often the room shifts and changes and the flurry of rotating rings fills the room-
-Next to the set of rings is a large abyss, with some glowing green liquid at the bottom-
-The room itself is a series of tubes that can be walked through, though they look brittle, and a sign in front of each with writing and directions-
-Down the path to the gauntlet, Crow would eventually come to a large plain white hall, upon entering the room the way back vanishes-
-Once it does, a large statue of Rayquaza appears-
Soul: -Appears- "Approach the statue, and face judgement for your sins. Or rather... ours." -Explodes into a cloud of dust and vanishes-

Jessica quirked a brow at Morgan, debating whether she should totally say something about the calling her Mom thing being well... a thing!
She decidedly shrugs it off however. What was the worst that could happen? "W'ever th'wind takes us!" she replied cheerily. "Less you had a fun idea in mind, I was plannin' on headin north to um... Geosenge Town!" she explained.
Shalour City
Valorie frowned slightly but then proceeded to shrug. "I guess I just need to get used to talking to pokemon more. Maybe they have the answer I'm looking for." she mused out loud.

Valorie nodded slowly, considering the invitation.
<Tell her about the bond you feel—Er...felt with your trainer when you battled.> Shu's ghostly echo of a voice chimed in from amongst Valorie's presence. The ghost pokemon wasn't actually visible, of course.
Geosenge Town
Jessica and company arrive! She stretches her arms and adjusts her hat. "...Y'wanna get changed int'a somethin' more comfy?" she asked the younger girl, rather amused at her having walked all this way without changing.

It was late at night, or early in the morning.Locke was sleeping in bed, his Pokemon curled up around him, all sleeping as well. It was quite serene, really, when suddenly, Locke's X-Transciever started ringing:
"♫'ll be the round about, The words will make you out 'n' out,♫" it sang, as Locke jumped out of bed and accepted the call before any of the others were disturbed. Wide awake, he spoke into it:" Hello, who is it?"
"Hey, there Locke, how's it going?" a kindly voice replied, and Locke immediately relaxed. It was the voice of Captain Rogers, his mentor and the man that had recommended him for the International Police in the first place." Hey, uncle Stephen. I was just waiting for some results to come in from the lab, they here yet?" Another voice came from the other side:" Yup, Mr.Argent, all here!" There was a bit of scuffling, and then Rogers said:"Okay Locke, it says here that the object that was stolen was most likely a Key Stone, a mysterious material that, according to research, when combined with a Mega Ring would produce, in certain Pokemon-" "A Mega Evolution," Locke finished. He looked very worried." This is why it was stolen. Mrs.Hartlet has no idea how important it is to the people around here. Quick, tell me, what is the largest amount of unearthed Keystones here in Kalos?"
"Got that for ya too, buddy." Rogers, said, and then continued," closest to you, the most recent Keystone sightings were in Geosenge Town, so I suggest going there first." Locke said okay, and thought, "Who knows, I might even get some leads to Wesker the Whisperer..."
"Also, I sent some breakfast over for you. Specially homemade, Franny made her special pancakes." Locke smiled," Thanks, see you soon, Uncle Stephen."
The call ends, leaving Locke missing home.
A few hours later, Locke is all prepped to go, with all of his Pokemon standing in front of him, a jeep in front of them. Mirror, using Psychic, wrote on Locke's notebook,"<<Are we really going on a fetch quest?" Geo then took the notebook and wrote,"<<Of course, it is the right thing to do!>>"
Locke saw what they had wrote, and then tutted, and said:"Geo's right, Mirror. We have to help her." Denise thought, softly out loud"<<Hmm, maybe I can meet someone new...." Axel turned to her."<<What?>>" Denise blushed furiously."<<N-nothing?>>"
Mrs.Hartlet was there to see them off. She gave them a picnic basket, which, when he looked inside, held freshly baked cakes and cookies. She hugged him, and said:" Please, bring it back safely." Locke nodded, and then stepped into the Jeep, started it up, and returned everyone to their Pokeballs, leaving Denise out after she protested, letting her run alongside them as the car started, and they headed towards Geosenge.
I will be open to interaction with ANYONE in Geosenge. If anyone needs me, I will be there, if you want.

Pakhet lightly flicks one of her earrings and smiles.
Pakhet: <Aww, shucks Alex~ You're making me blush~>
Montu: -Waves claw- <So you're this guys team eh? Nice to meet you, I'm Montu by the way>
Montu walks over to Svavel and examines him.
Montu: <Huh, you know it's nice to see a fighting feathered friend around here once in a while. Pretty much my only companion is Pakhet>
Pakhet looks over at Skugga and pats her on the head.
Pakhet: <Oh you're adorable~ Yes you are~>
Meanwhile, Cleo goes over and picks up Tungvikt.
Cleo: Aww, you got yourself a Hawlucha? I've always been fond of these birds and if it wasn't for the fact I adhere to the family rules for Pokemon types, I would totally have one of these around with me all the time~
Cleo pets Tungvikt.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceRoute 12
Valorie was wandering her way through the route with Haxorus by her side, a rather standard approach to any adventure by her rule, when surprise... a pachirisu leapt out at her!
The squirrel pokemon got about one word into a sentence before Haxorus was upon him.
<Wrong choice, bub!> the predatory pokemon hissed out. The pachirisu emitted a high pitched scream and ran right back the way it came with Haxorus in hot pursuit.
Valorie was so used to Haxorus being able to take care of herself that it wasn't until the terrified Pachirisu's voice abruptly stopped that something she had never particularly liked thinking about to begin with occured to her.
Haxorus was going to eat that pokemon.
Valorie's stomach dropped and she suddenly felt very ill as the gravity of something she'd previously passed off as not worth thinking about hit her like Mike Tyson. She refused to even look at Haxorus once the armored raptor pokemon returned, returning the pokemon wordlessly and stumbling off to go find a place to sit down and deal with her somewhat overwhelming emotions.
...
Valorie did her best to seclude herself and sat down, burying her head against her arms and knees. She shuddered. How did she even solve a problem like this? She could ask Haxorus not to hunt, but she knew that would strain their relationship rather hard. Worse yet, she was pretty confident taking meat out of Haxorus' diet entirely would be extremely unhealthy.
She supposed she'd just have to... deal with it, somehow.
Nature was cruel.
Later
Valorie was now working her way off the beaten trail with Dragonite by her side in a much worse mood. A now very depressed part of her noted that Dragonite was the only one of her cardinal team of pokemon she could trust not to hurt anyone anymore.
How had this happened..? Oh right, Pokemon were suddenly people. That had changed a few things. It had used to be that she could trust her pokemon not to hurt humans, but now with Charizard having betrayed her and her newer pokemon having issues of their own everything earnestly felt like it was going to shit.
An aching pain in her back and arms told her not to show weakness however. She's just have to... make something happen. If she... pushed hard enough her pokemon would have to listen to her! They'd have to change. She'd make this work.
...Somehow.
She had a long day ahead of her.
I dropped out of school to become a pokemon master, but then they pulled me right back in to get my doctorate!
