Roxie gives Sparkers a scratch behind the ears.
"I'm sorry for your loss."
Sparkers looked Roxie directly in the eyes. He saw a little flash of green and smile.
<I have no clue what that was all about, but I feel I can trust you.>
Roxie beams at him before turning back to everyone else.
"Sorry about that."
GIVE ME YOUR FACEShalour City: Pokémon Center
After a demonstration of the powers of a Mega Stone, prompting a few turned gazes in his direction, Rex continues his conversation with his mother about events over the past week.
Faith: I see. So this girl stole some item called a Mega Ring from the professor's associates.
Rex: That's right. I've been trying to get my team back in training to help figure out where to go from here.
Faith: Mmm, that is something I've been meaning to speak to you about. Perhaps once you get home, we can work on a more rigorous regimen for you~
Rex: U-uh...
Faith: And Kim, too, of course. I specialized in training Fighting-types when I was younger~
Mega!Lucario!Kim: <Oh, I'd love to take you up on that, Ms. Hunter!>
Rex: W-wait a minute...
Faith: So, it's decided! You'll have something to look forward to when you get back, Rex.
Rex: Nooo....
Mega!Lucario!Kim: <Huh? What's wrong?>
Rex: M-mom's training is...
Faith: In any event, the Mega Stones. You said that your pendant had no effect on Kim until she evolved, right?
Rex: Um... yeah, that's right. Why?
Faith: Well, it could be possible that it only worked because she evolved, but there also might be a chance that the stones are related to a Pokémon's affection to their trainer.
Rex: Oh, yeah. Kim was pretty happy when I bought her that pendant.
Sure enough, the Mega Lucario smiles and squeezes the stone hanging from around her neck, prompting an amused smile from Faith.
Faith: So I see. In any case, that might be something to think about. Besides, it couldn't hurt to make sure your Pokémon get along with you.
Rex: Hm... I suppose I should try to hang out with Damian more. And the Pokémon at Elm's Lab, too.
Faith: That's a good idea. Now then, it's getting late. You should probably get back to the tower before it gets too dark. You're in an unfamiliar city and I wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
Rex: I'll be sure to.
Faith: ...
Rex: ...
Faith: Rex.
Rex: ... ... ...iloveyoumombye
Mega!Lucario!Kim: <Awww, how cute~>
Rex: Sh-shut up!

Valorie nodded. "Mmhm!" she replied almost tiredly. "It's... nice. The last few days have been hard." she quickly added, taking a deep breath.
"I just shouldn't stay down for too long. I've got a pokemon league to beat~"
Cyllage Beach
Jessica hesitated a moment. "...That sounds awful righteous." she mused out loud. "So they're all superheroes?" she proceeded to ask, curious. This was a rather interesting topic!
I dropped out of school to become a pokemon master, but then they pulled me right back in to get my doctorate!

-Follows Roxie back-
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.
