Guess a fight is inevitable. I have to keep them safe.

Roa: <Get your younger siblings and human ready to run. I need any of you that can fight to help me. As soon as they have an opportunity, get your human and kits away towards Ecruteak.>

-turning back to the Zebstrika, she looked it up and down-

Similar in build to Morena. Electric type. Likely fast. Weak only to Ground.

-she fired another barrage of Poison Stings at Zebstrika, spreading them wide and thick in an attempt to hit some of the Pokemon behind-

Dana: <Yay!>

Tweedle: Don't bother her, Dana.

-Dana drops down and scampers over to Steven, nuzzling his ankle-

-Woolly waves goodbye before following the Nidos along with Harriet.-

Lake: <That sounds like Fool, to me.>

Yeah. I'm pretty certain that she's the only girl in our group with blue hair. Alright, we're following.

-We head off to speak with Fool, leaving Cinder alone with the Nidos and their teacher.-

Dune: <You went to the Giant Chasm? Wow...You're all very brave. Nothing that goes there comes back alive...>

Celestia: <...Hang on. When Luke told me about Cyrus, he only said that he had Dialga under his control. And yet...You said he has Celebi, too?>

-The Zebstrika magetises herself and levitates slightly, avoiding the barrage of pins somewhat; the rest of the pins hit the Durant harmlessly-

Durant — <Poor fool. Take this!> — fires the Flash Cannon at Roa.

-Meanwhile, Cinccino uses his scarf tail to hang off the ledge of the rail, avoiding the attack-

Cinccino (to Pignite and Durant#2) — <Idiots! Get back up, quickly!>

-While the eldest Eevee charges forward at the Zebstrika, the other ones drag Bill to one of the pillars-

-A spying Pidgey is observing the battle from above-

At the Owsla's sanctuary in [DATA ERROR]

-Two Veteranos are giving their report while the rest of the Owsla, save a couple of members, are reunited-

Maestro Vinollo — <So, have we fetched any of the other humans?>

-The Veteranos flinch. At their side, only barely inside view of the group, an Owsla who has failed his mission is tied to the ground, being indoctrinated by alternative assaults of supersonic and ice attacks.-

Veterano — <Sorry, sir, but... Aŭko failed his mission, he was found dead short ago. We have heard nothing from Roa so far, but the Snubbull confirmed she's on her way...>

Vinollo (angry) — <What about Maekrite?>

Veterano — <He should be here soon...>

Vinollo — <Fine. You take the lead. I'll take Maekrite to his meeting... but before, there's someone I want to meet...>

-Vinollo disappears into the shadows-

At Luke's place

Nidorina Teacher (smiles) — <Only with their parents... which means they really, really like you...> — tilts head — <Well, you and your Trainer are like heroes to us.>

The krows? Nah, I don't think he even knew about them, it's probably Lanius' goons.

Anyway, we're kind of in need of your help.

-Roa leaped to the side, avoiding the Flash Cannon, running towards the Zebstrika while firing more Poison Stings-

Right. Durant. Low to the ground. Steel and Bug type. Immune to poison. Weak to Fire. Gonna be hard to take down.

-as soon as she was close enough to Zebstrika, she leaps, Biting down hard on its leg and swinging around to use Double Kick on its side-

HotStuff: (nods) <Yes... He does. DS and the rest of us were also pretty surprised when we discovered that.> (sighs) <And yes, we did go into the Giant Chasm, but... the only reason we came out alive is because...> (starts shaking) <... b-because...>

Velvet: (puts her paw on HotStuff's shoulder, while telekinectically levitating an Oran berry in front of her) <Here, HotStuff. Eat this Oran berry.>

- HotStuff eats the Oran berry, not saying a word -

Velvet: <Well, like HotStuff said, it is all part of a long story.>

HotStuff: (nods)

-Entering the lab-

"Oh. Erm... Hello. I just wish that we could have met at a better time..."

-The forms of a Wartortle, a Sandshrew, and a Oddish appear cautiously-

<Lemmy: "Wait, who are these guys? Does Jeff know them?">

<Cibel: "I'm not sure, Le- Wait... These were the guys who talked those horrible birds into letting Sway and me go back at that alley...">

<Sway: "What are YOU all doing here?">

Jeff: "Name's Jeff. What on earth brought you out HERE anyways? And how'd you survive out on the streets?"

<Lemmy: "You know... I can't really peg it, but your trainer and some of your friends seem familiar... Have we bumped into each other before?">

Jeff: "And what exactly did you need help with?"

Cinder: <I bet they like Lake better than me. He's Ho-oh's chosen one. I'm just the mon Luke ended up with instead due to someone messing the time-line up or something...>

-Celestia and Dune exchange worried glances.-

Dune: <It seems obvious to me that something terrible happened to them at that Chasm.>

Celestia: <Indeed...You don't think?>

Dune: <...I think it might be likely.>

-Celestia sighs, then flits down from her throne to comfort DS' team.-

Celestia: <...I don't know what to say. So I'll just say this: I'm so sorry.>

Muddy: -Looks at Lemmy- <Iggy?>

Torchic: -Looks at Cibel and Sway- <I remember you from when Tracer and Tagg convinced that Honchkrow to leave you guys alone.>

We have our methods for getting around, and from what we understand you have something that could help us beat back those Unovan invaders.

HotStuff: <...>

Velvet: <... So... I guess you understand why we're so determined to find those trainers and stop Cyrus?>

Briar Rose: (sighs) <But we never saw what happened... We ran away before... Whatever it was that happened back then happened...>

-In the lab in Celadon-

Jeff: "... You know about that too? But... How?"

<Lemmy: "Wait, how do they know about the stuff that he's been working on?">

<Sway: "Those two humans can apparently understand what Pokemon say.">

<Cibel: "Yeah, those birds told them about what Jeff was making.">

<Serperior: "What on earth happened to Overland Group B out there?! Over a quarter of their ranks were killed or otherwise incapacitated just GETTING here!">

<Hydreigon: "They ran into some unexpected resistance with some local Feraligatr, General. If it's any consolation, they appear to have been forced to retreat inland with heavy losses and a number of captures. Our wounded and the captured combatants are being transferred to Azalea as we speak.">

<Serperior: "Ugh... This was supposed to be the route with less resistance! How on earth did that happen anyways?!">

<Hydreigon: "We are not fully certain. It appears that they organized defenses in advance of our arrival though.">

<Serperior: "... How on earth did that happen?">

<Hydreigon: "We are not fully certain, General. We suspect that they were informed from an outside source of our arrival.">

<Serperior: "Do we have any countermeasures in place for the Feraligatr's return?">

<Hydreigon: "Aerial patrols are currently monitoring the paths we took here. They have been informed to issue ONE warning to any Feraligatr or related Pokemon spotted approaching the vicinity to surrender or otherwise retreat before opening fire.">

<Serperior: "Are the battalions prepared to continue?">

<Hydreigon: "They have regrouped and are currently protected by cover of illusion, sir.">

<Serperior: "Excellent. Inform them to move out, but proceed with caution. This bypass is extremely rugged. I don't want to hear of officers losing troops due to unneeded haste.">

<Hydreigon: "Yes, General.">

-The Hydreigon flies off-

Zebstrika (retreating) — <Get these thins OFF ME!> — neighs and tries to respond with a Thunderbolt.

-The Eevee manages to Quick Attack the Zebstrika, distracting her, and leap at the Durant afterwards, but the insect merely stands there, preparing an attack-

Cinccino (infuriated) — <So slow! I'm going in myself!> — launches a Bullet Seed barrage at the Eevee.

-Zebstrika reacts badly at the bite on her leg, which cancels her Thunderbolt, and then she attempts to Flame Charge before Roa can kick her-

Mountains next to Rt.32

-A Nidoran caravan accompanied by Woolly, Harriet, a Quagsire with his family and two Snubbull head slowly towards the route as they have some chitchat-

Random Nidoran (to Harriet) — <So then there was this Nidorina, I think her name was Inka, who convinced the elders that we needed an Army a couple of years ago...> — turns back to the city — <I think it was because of an attack by some men in black...>

-Some distance behind, hidden between the rocks and other landmarks, an armored Nidorina with a branded leg follows stealthily-

Nidoran Colony

-As if sensing Cinder being sad, some of the youngest Nidos cuddle carefully against him-

Small Nido — <You are warm and fluffy. Not like that other thing with big teeth... cold... zzzz....>

-Most of the Nidos fall deeply asleep, and the Nidorina teacher relaxes somewhat as well-

-Somewhere else, Luke and Lake are being led by some Nidorino across the Colony. Then they reach a creek-

Nidorino — <Oh darn...> — to Luke — <This person Fool is at the other side of this part of the forest... but, er... we'll have to take the long road surrounding it by the creek... I'm really sorry.>

-At a distance, some sounds of battles and cries of war can be heard-

"One! Three! Seven!"

"Raaahhh!" "Oooof" "Ouch!"

"Two! Five! Three!"

"AAAAHHHH!" "Whoooo!" "Eeeeee~!"

(To the Pokemon) Actually, they're not the only ones who can understand you...it's a really long story.

Like I said, we have our methods. It's of the utmost importance that we're able to get what you're working on. What exactly does your behavior altering serum do?

-Is feeling quite disasterous, the Black and White thoughts are fighting again, and no amount of thought will make them stop-

Jeff: "Which one are you talking about? There's the one that I've been working on recently, and an old prototype that I left shelved until the invasion earlier this week."

-Cinder sweatdrops as the Nido's fall asleep around. It looked like that he wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon.

Oh well. At least he had somemon to talk too.-

Cinder: <I'm glad somemon likes me better than him. Everyone just seems to like Lake better than me...I swear that Luke does too, sometimes.>

Nearby...

Oh, well that's okay. We're not in any rush right now.

Lake: -Listens.- <Sounds like some intense training they're going through, there.>

Near Route 32

Harriet: <Men in Black? I think that must be Team Rocket you're talking about. I remember helping Crowley out fighting them. Well...In my timeline, at least.>

Woolly: <Yeah, that was really rough for all of us.>

Relic Castle

Celestia: <Yes.>

Dune: <We understand.>

Celestia: <Okay, I think you've told me enough for the time being. Dune, escort these Pokémon to their chambers.>

Dune: <Yes, my Queen.> -To the team.- <Come on. You must be tired after all that wandering through the desert.>

-Dune leads the Pokémon out.-

-Finds the control room-

Hello, Crewe. Wolf. Star.

-the Zebstrika's fire envelops Roa and she bites down hard then drops, firing Poison Stings as she goes. She lands and notices Cinccino's attack. Darting away from Zekbstrika for a moment, she fired more Poison Stings at the Seed Bombs, attempting to blow them out of the air-

Three opponents. Two more down below. We have to get out of here.

-firing more Poison Stings at Cinccino to keep it distracted, Roa charges Zebstrika again, once again firing as she goes. Leaping upwards, she slashes across Zebstrika with Cut, then digs her claws in and scrabbles upwards, trying to reach its back-
