"It's worth a shot... And we don't know anything about these cretins' character aside from the Typhlosion."
-Produces a few Pokeballs-
"I just hope that I don't come to regret this..."
-noting a signal-
Yes? What is it?
Kurt: Oh! You picked those up for me, too. Maybe there is some hope for this generation, with gentlemen like you. I have my tools, so... guess I'm done here for now.
Tangent's Dad: You were going to our place, right? Best call over your fox friends there...
-three researchers sit in the boat, playing Go-Fish-
Researcher #2: ...2 hours. If they don't call us in 2 hours, we're leaving.
-Is busy checking the bodies-
Well, some of them are alive if unconscious, we definitely killed the Typhlosion, and I'm not even sure if the other mons will even survive the night to be perfectly honest with you.
-Steps out into the street to examine the fallen Pokemon-
-Notices that the Druddigon's head is unmarked-
"Drat. That would have been such a perfect way to get one of them to talk too..."
"There's a way to probably keep them alive if we need to. Not sure if we'd WANT to though..."

-nudges the head of the Drapion who made it through the special attackers, it twitches slightly-
This one's alive. Should I catch him so we can get information later?
What about us? How will we survive the night?
Sunny: <Didn't I say you need to stop worrying?>
I can't help it! I'm scared, okay?
So where have you two been?
She has a point, you know.
(To Mezzo) Don't worry. We took out these guys without a scratch. We'll be fine.
I thought I told you to shut up.
I hope you're right.
Shadow: <I think we should have someone hold watch. This probably won't be the last group of soldiers we see.>
"There's the space tunnels. We can lie low there tonight with the birds if need be."
The cynical part of me feels that they're most likely just Axe-Crazy killers and at most we should just make their final moments comfortable. The less cynical part of me says that they could've easily just made some bad choices and/or were press ganged into fighting for that psychotic and we should at least try to save them.
(To Tagg) Maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt? They're pretty helpless right now, and it'll be a lot easier to kill them than un-kill them.
"... Call me naive, Dr. Tagg, but I'm more inclined to agree with that second analysis. My Pokemon and I conversed with a group of peons out in Castellia. They said that most of them didn't have much say in whether or not they served for that horrid duo in Unova, let alone who SPECIFICALLY they served under..."
"... Besides... There's already been so much death here..."

I agree with that idea.
Sunny: <We should give them a chance, at least.>
Shadow: <Yeah, a chance to call for backup and sabotage our plans.>
-Looks down, now pale looking-
"Mr. Tangent? Our partners already left for Azalea Town, so we should know from them soon. However, what concerns to this call is a... different matter."
-Returns his sight to a monitor displaying the trails in the sky-
"While checking the status of the invasion, we managed to discover something weird in the city's skies. There's like, trails or tendrils of air corrupted by either a psychic energy or something similar... When we look at it with our cameras, it looks like air is removed and them superimposed over something flying above the city..."
-examines some projections of the trails on a map of the city-
"This might indicate us how are they dominating the airs, if it corresponds to the initial attack on the city's facilities."
"However, to process this data the resources we have at this place are not enough... Any way to send the data over to you? Perhaps it can be useful to combat the invasion in other places, too..."
-While Orenda helps Kurt finish his pack and looks outside the windows, Timb˙ stands on the street and whistles a call for the Zoroarks-
Timb˙ — ...Wait, I forgot I had this.
-checks the beeper device that transmits DŰvich's information. It registers him still at the PokÚcenter, well fed but incommunicated-
-I make my way through the weird conveyor belts and dark corridors in that place, a large Nidoqueen by my side, both of us removing all opposition before finding a man wearing a suit, alone, at the end of the road...-
-It has taken years for the police, or PEFE, or anyone, to aprehend this man for everything he has done... and although there are others worse than him, his evil acts have a special impact here, and for me.-
???? — You have reached this far... and proven how much are you willing to sacrifice to get what you want...
-the man points at Inka by my side. I avoid looking at her, as she won't recognize me ever again no matter how deep I stare at her eyes. She will just obey my every command, even reaching this far, because...-
???? — You are actually worse than I am...
-Inka stands in her place, breathing heavily. She is simply standing there, unaware of hunger, tiredness, and even of the importance of the moment. She is merely waiting for the next command as if there could be nothing else-
???? — I studied them, cared for them. You? You gave her soul to succeed. You gave all of them... Turned them into what, weapons...? For what, for control? For merely as long as your life lasts?
-I tremble in my febrile sleep-

-decides not to press the issue-
Well, we might as well go to bed. We can't really do anything else until morning.
You kind of have a point there Tracer. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite us in the ass.
-sends out Nylon, who quickly begins tying up the live mons-
I think it'll be okay. Either way, we do need information from them.
Sure, let me setup a tunnel for you to a VPS cluster...
Zoroark Blue: <OK, enough education... we're taking the guy back now...>
-the Zoroark follow the Interns to Tangent's home-
-Watches Every tie up the enemy mons-
As for the Typhlosion...
-Gives Hydreigon the nod and she drags the body off-
If you could take me to my room...
Follow me. -stands and leaves the room-
-Timb˙ leads one of the Zoroarks to Tangent's house, where the other one has already arrived. Orenda and Kurt get there a short time later-
Timb˙ — Well, time to leave this place.
Orenda — Sorry about this, Azalea. — sighs — Hope the other towns down the road are fine.
-Elm and one of his assistants are watching with some interest the news about the attack on Goldenrod, which has been confirmed thanks to some (researcher) guy's air (Drifloon) camera. Basil sits there, watching as well, not letting her face show her pain-
Basil — Luke is from there... wonder if he is all right...
-Starting to get depressed, lets her head rest on the carpet-
Basil — Cinder... Lake... Why couldn't I be with you guys? Even though I'm safe here... so far... if the end of times come I'd rather spend them elsewhere...
-On an infamous imageboard-
[No. 70213817: "So apparently still no one knows what the [REDACTED] is going out in Goldenrod."]
[No. 70213824: "I just hope that it's not as serious as the [REDACTED] out here in Kanto."]
[No. 70213832: "30,000 people in 2 days. 30,000 people in 2 [REDACTED] DAYS! WHAT THE [REDACTED] IS WRONG WITH THOSE STUPID [REDACTED] OUT IN VERMILLION?!"]

[No. 70213874: "Yeah, and what have YOU been doing other than [REDACTED] your pants at your desk for the last two days?"]
[No. 70213883: "I've been doing my part to go out and hunt down those [REDACTED] sons of [REDACTED] for what they did to my Torterra!"]

-A mercifully filtered picture-
[No. 70213883: "This was one of the biggest ambushes that my mons and I set up against those [REDACTED]."]
[No. 70213899: "Oh [REDACTED]."]
[No. 70213904: "That's [REDACTED] raw. How the [REDACTED] have you been DOING that?"]
[No. 70213883: "By NOT going down into the streets to wait for those [REDACTED] and by not staying in one [REDACTED] spot like a [REDACTED] moron!"]

[No. 70213920: "Well if there's one bright spot to this [REDACTED], it's Pallet. Apparently some mental [REDACTED] managed to hold off an entire invasion force singlehandedly."]
[No. 70213938: "Oh, he was on this board yesterday. He's alive?"]
[No. 70213941: "Saw him on the beach earlier. That was some crazy [REDACTED]. I didn't even KNOW that it was possible for starters to do [REDACTED] like that."]
[No. 70213952: "I'm tired of this [REDACTED], I'm heading out with that vindictive [REDACTED] from earlier to make those [REDACTED] [REDACTED] themselves every time they have to set foot outside of their [REDACTED] holes."]
[No. 70213965: "Yeah, this is for what those [REDACTED] did to that Growlithe statue in front of the train station. That thing was part of my [REDACTED] childhood!"]
