He flies up and passes by Ian the Pikipek again. Apparently, he has a fondness for bird-themed anything.
Chris: <And they say the bird style would never catch on. 155 Million Years and still going strong.>
Natural History Museum, Malacostra Time
The package falls, much to the horror and fury of a stupefied Malacostra.
Malacostra: Sokar, why can't I still move? Why is he still there? Why is that coffin so freaky?
Sokar, via a speech device: Y'know, I'm starting to remember why those mummy movies were so popular. Oh, screw this jazz.
Sokar overrides the controls over a still-frozen Malacostra and uses the mechanisms to attach her to the cord. If she couldn't snap out of it, she might as well let Sokar rescue her. Once she was secure, Sokar gives the chopper crew the signal to ascend.
Sokar: Bully! We have what we need. We still win! Hunter's Guild, Hooooo!
The villains begin their slow, rather awkward ascent. Sokar activates Malacostra's pokéballs to summon the rest of her team.

Shadow!Marie: -Not making eye contact- You know, back when I was first starting out, at first I just said those things because I figured out saying them would help me get elected by taking advantage of those fools prejudices, even if I thought I didn't actually believe them. As time passed and they wanted more than dogwhistles, I ramped up the rhetoric in turn. Eventually, I ended up truly believing the things that I said.
-Calmly, but with trembling fists-
...This doesn't make you any more sympathetic, I'd argue it makes it even worse that you'd spread that crap around even though you didn't even actually believe it at first.
Right now, we could just destroy you and then you wouldn't be a problem for anyone ever again, the destruction of the Shadow kills their owner as well. And it's definitely pretty tempting even now.
However, luckily for you, that's not what we're here for. We change hearts by removing their distortions, we don't destroy them. Also, I'd imagine your children think you're worth trying to save, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten in contact with us.
What's the difference between a racist and someone who just courts racists to get votes? I'd say no difference really, the effect is ultimately the same, and eventually the latter just becomes the former, if it wasn't all just a lie to begin with.
Shadow!Marie: No, you're right. It's obvious I believed in those things to some level even before entering politics, despite my children, but it's not working out, not anymore. And not just because you've beaten me, even worse people than I've been are rising to power, not just in Unova, but around the country, and that's really saying something.

Racism isn't an on/off switch, that's something you'll have to fight for the rest of your life, however long that is. With all you've done, that goes double. You may not have personally harmed anyone, but you still bear some responsibility for whatever actions your supporters do.

Note that anyone who can read Sokar's mind will be able to pick this up. The psychic blocker in Mal's helmet is not 100 percent operable.
Gimbal, still in the camera: <Kid, I'm going to level with you. Supervillains like her are gonna be a tough battle, and Hunter's Guild operatives more so. But we'll find a way to win this. I know we do. We just need to figure out how.>
She looks at the cords. They snapped under enough pressure, and whatever system the chopper was using was already under stress. They really could only take one or the other if push came to shove.
And it's time for pushing.
Gimbal: <We could get a clear shot of the last two strings if we can push our crustaceous criminal out of the way. Preferably very roughly. What I'm trying to say is, can you still hit her?>

"Where's what?" Silas asked.
"The shapeshifter, the ditto!" Arthur responded, "We've got an intruder on board, I saw something drag Hacks and Clutch away!"
Silas blinked, "Clutch?"
"Yes, I think this thing wants to pick us off, it's taken out anything that could sense it, the systems are down and Bishop is locked in. He had a sensor record so he'd likely be able to tell us who it was," Arthur noted.
Silas grumbled and rubbed his face, "Okay okay... we're dead in the water-"
<Space,> Amber interrupted.
"-Whatever, we have an intruder on board... A ditto right?"
Arthur nodded, and then pointed the Crucible towards Silas, "Right."
"Arthur what do you think you are doing?" Silas asked, a worried look in his eyes as he stared at the blade.
"It's a shapeshifter, any one of us could have been replaced, that's why it took the aurics and psychics, it's why Bishop is out. This thing wants to pick us off."
"Then we need to get busy!" Silas responded.
"Get busy? We need to find this thing, we need to run tests and space it!" Arthur shouted.
"We need to get the ship running, the rebellion is still after us, we don't have time for this," Silas said, a noticeable growl in his tone.
Roxy whistled, Silas stumbled a bit and checked his ears, "Damn sensitivity... Roxy can you please not do that?"
"I wanted to cut this entire shtick short, both of you are right!" Roxy shouted, "We're drifting and need to fix the ship as quite frankly that's the only way we'll be able to keep breathing, but we need to find this thing if it is intent on taking us out!"
