Fuka: Oh, right. Ronin, it's time to go.

Ronin looks crestfallen but complies, doing a few trapeze-esque swings before leaping from the Rookidee's claws and into Fuka's arms. It would have been quite impressive... had Fuka not caught him in her arms while he was upside down. Without righting him, Fuka turns to her mother and Waka.

Fuka: Okay, we're good.

She passes Ronin to Suzie, who places the Cubone right-side up in her lap.

Fuka: So, ready to be a stern parent?

Suzie: Not in the least. Did Sami tell you exactly what happened?

Fuka nods.

Suzie: Then tell me before we get there. I'm not great at this but I'm sure I don't want to laugh out loud in front of him if he did anything I'd think was funny.

With a nod, Fuka relays the full text of Sami's messages while they leave the Gym.

Turffield, Standing Stone of Water

Sami is eating ramen from a bowl with surprising dexterity. Going on at length about something. Zoomer is pecking at plate with small bits of meat for him. Dart and Moka are feeding one another with varying levels of skill.

Will (to himself): Mental note: Bibs.

Will looks at Sami, then leans down to Puri.

Will: I still don't have Garchomp down yet. What's she talking about? I'm getting "flavor" and "juices", so I'm assuming the food?

Puri: <She's talking about the food like its one of those comics where they go over each and every little thing rather than just say "it's yummy".>

Will: Ah. (slurps some noodles) It really is very good.

Puri: <Totally. If I were listening to Sami I'd probably agree with everything she's saying.>

Will: First time for everything.

The two resume eating, swaying in time to Semyon's song.

(Ozzy proceeds to fly back to Kim, and lands in front of her.)

Kim: "Well. I presume you're done."

Ozzy: <Indeed I am. Shall we leave now?>

Kim: "Indeed we shall. Ian and Evelyn are waiting for us outside."

(Ozzy nods, before he and Kim proceed to leave the room.)

-Ian, with Piku-chan on his shoulder, follows Kim on the way to Hulbury and their next Gym Battle when Ian notices a flower patch.-

Me: Hey, Kim... Over here...

(Kim suddenly turns and sees the flower bed ahead of her.)

Kim: "Oh...?"

(She approaches them and stares at them for a few good moments, then turns to Ian.)

Kim: "A flower bed...? Why exactly do you want to show me this?"

Me: Oh, no particular reason. Just... these flowers reminded me of someone...

(Kim smiles.)

Kim: "Evelyn, I presume?"

Me: Kinda... but they also reminded me of a Floette I met a while back...

Piku-chan: <I remember that Floette!>

Kim: (her intrigue growing) "You met a Floette a while back? Would you mind telling me about her?"

Me: Oh, yeah! She was a funny Floette. She carried a Red Flower with her and her shadow looked a lot more menacing than she did.

Piku-chan: <Yeah! Very funny Floette!>

Me: It's been a while since I last saw her...

-Axon fires Shadow Ball after Shadow Ball at Steven's Metagross. Simon keeps asking question after question.-

-The camera continues to film Kako and Mirai's battle with Diantha's Gardevoir. Mirai raises her arms and summons a dreamy mist blankets the battlefield. Kako jumps in front of Mirai as a knight would protect a princess.-

"Whut smells nice?" The cosplayer asked, tipping his hat forward in a subdued salutation as he arrived at the chili stall.

Hammerlocke

"It dun stop! How many are there?" Colton demanded as he swiped his finger, a distant Night Slash raking a number of Surtr's victims.

<All of Them !> Sunny said, partially joking, partially serious. It was getting that little bit too sweaty, Colton's Icescura meeting fire and making a lot of steam Roy was running in an out of as he slammed Blaze Kick after Close Combat after Slash.

Sunny and Koyasa refreshed the screens.

Meanwhile, Ammy was forced to pause, nearly blindsided by someone's body that wasn't obeying its owner and creating a pillar of flame around herself that may have caught Pent. She had also consumed her flame to channel the pillar, possibly throwing a wrench in her own plans to wake Pent up.

While the pillar raged, she continued, but as it parted she vanished.

Ammy stood beside her trainer, who was using his free hand to hug her, resting his head on his shoulder as he continued to conduct an Obscura bolt to tag targets with distant lashes.

Kim: "Pirika? Is that a Japanese word?"

Me: That Floette I met... when we meet again, I'll ask if I can call her "Pirika."
