"Yeah we're here to air out the Captain's ancestors dirty laundry and maybe make a couple bucks doing it. By the way you guys need to police your roads more vigilantly."

The Corvisquire turned to look before flying over.

<Excuse me,> she said. <but you're looking for Stow-on-side? You won't be able to access it from the Wild Area; you'll have to enter Motostoke and travel west.>

Turffield, AFD

Kim: (beat) "Well. This is certainly amusing. Somewhat." (then, to Evelyn) "Evelyn, are you okay?"

Turffield, AFD

-Evelyn almost runs Kim over with the out-of-control broom as she flies by-

Evelyn: -panicky- Sorry, Kim! I can't seem to control this thing! I've never really flown before!

Kim: "Neither have I..." (then, looking over at Ozzy) "But I know someone who does."

Ozzy: <Me? I've never taught anyone to fly before. Certainly not on a broomstick.> (then, pointing to Ian) <Can he fly?>

Kim: (to Ian) "Can you fly?"

Turffield, AFD

Me: You ask me if I can fly? Of course, I can!

-Beat-

...I just have a bit of trouble landing, is all...

Turffield, AFD

Kim: "Ah. Well, then... what are we to do?"

Turffield, AFD

Me: -shouting to Evelyn- EVELYN! Can you hear me?!

Evelyn: -shouting- I CAN HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!

Me: -shouting- That's good! Now... I need you to calm down!

Evelyn: -shouting- Calm down?

Me: -shouting- That's right! You're in control of the broom!

Evelyn: -shouting- How do you know that'll work?!

Me: -shouting- I've flown the broom before! It wasn't easy, but once you get a grip, it's as easy as riding a bike!

Evelyn: -shouting- I don't think I've ever rode a bike before!

Me: -flatly- Analogy wasted.

Me: -telepathically to Evelyn- ~Still... it'll be fine. You've got this...~

Evelyn: -thinks to self- I got this... I can do this...

-Evelyn calms herself down, and she gains control of the broom she's flying.-

Turffield, AFD

Kim: "Well. That takes care of that."

Turffield, AFD

Evelyn: Well... I'll be seeing you...

-Evelyn waves to Ian and Kim one last time before she turns around and flies away.-

Turffield, AFD

Kim: "Farewell, Evelyn."

Ozzy: <I hope to see you again!>

Turffield, AFD

-Ian quietly mutters under his breath... Sayonara... Aishiteru...^* Goodbye... I love you...-

Me: -looks over at Kim- So what now?

Turffield, AFD

Kim: "Well... we found Dio and solved what to do with Evelyn. I'd say we've had enough... craziness for today. I still need to continue with my Gym Challenge, after all."

Turffield, AFD

Me: Good point...

The two looked up at the great corvid in awe. As Mama gently waved to greet it, Clara thought up a curious idea.

<Excuse me, um, Flying-type, but do you know if there are any groups of trainers around?>

Turffield, AFD

Kim: "Alright, then." (then, turning to Ozzy) "Shall we?"

Ozzy: <We shall. ONWARDS TO ROUTE 5!>

Kim: "Indeed!"

(And with that, they leave for the next part of Kim's adventure.)

(AND NOW BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING BEFORE CONTINUING ON TO ROUTE 5)

Turffield Stadium, Pre-AFD

(Kim steps onto the pitch, not even aware of the Yamper from earlier that is trailing behind her. Said Yamper looks around for a bit, then happily sticks out his tongue upon seeing Kim.)

Yamper: (happily) <OH LOOK>

Yamper: <BATTLE TIME>

Yamper: <AM HAPP>

Yamper: <PLEEZ WIN HOOMAN I LUV YOU>

(Kim, meanwhile, steps out onto the pitch— and soon finds herself face-to-face with Milo. Upon seeing him, she grins.)

Kim: "So... you must be Milo. Gym Leader of Turffield Stadium."

Milo: "I am! And you are...?"

Kim: (smiles) "Kimberly Bond, lingual consultant and Gym Challenger."

Milo: "Ahhh." (then, after a pause) "Hey, wait a second, weren't you at the opening ceremony?"

Kim: "Of course I was." (then, taking out a PokeBall) "But enough chit-chat. I've got a Pokemon battle to start, and mark my words: I am going to win if it is the last thing I do."

Milo: "Well, then. By the way it sounds, this is going to be a doozy." (then, taking out his own PokeBall) "But you're on!"

BATTLE START

KIMBERLY BOND vs MILO

(In a matter of seconds, Milo throws his PokeBall up into the air.)

Milo: "Alright, Gossifleur, let's go!"

(Moments later, a Gossifleur emerges from the PokeBall, and Kim stares at it with intrigue.)

Kim: "Hm. A Gossifleur. Quite peculiar, I don't think this is a Pokemon I've ever seen before."

-Ian nods confidently as he follows Kim to Route 5-

Turffield Stadium, Pre-AFD

-Ian continues to record Kim's Gym Challenge as he and Evelyn find a seat.-

Me: -cheering- GO, KIM!

Evelyn: -cheering- YOU'LL DO GREAT!

-Piku-chan, dressed in a two-tone green kimono, waves two fans around as he cheers on Kim during the Gym Battle.-

(The Yamper watches from behind.)

Yamper: <a goosifloor...?>

Yamper: <thats neat>

Yamper: <henlo goosifloor lets be frens>

(Kim, meanwhile, is unfazed by the Gossifleur, and smirks.)

Kim: "Still, though... that won't stop me from taking you down."

(With that said, she throws the PokeBall into the air.)

Kim: "Red alert, Ozzy!"

(In a flash, the Rookiedee appears from the PokeBall and looks over at the Gossifleur with analytic intent.)

Ozzy: <Hm. Interesting. Let's see now... Gossypium anemone, common name "Gossifleur." Type: Grass. It has the lowest base speed stat of all Grass-type Pokemon, tied with Ferrum durio— er, Ferroseed.> (then, smirking) <Which means this Pokemon should be fairly easy for me to defeat.>

(The Gossifleur responds to this by giggling.)

Gossifleur: <Oh, silly, silly Rookiedee! You don't understand, do you?>

(Ozzy blinks.)

Gossifleur: <Milo here trained me up so that I can attack before you ever think of doing so! In fact... I've got a move that never misses in my arsenal!>

Ozzy: <Oh, do you now?>

(He looks up at Kim— who promptly smirks, signaling him to scratch his claws repeatedly on the ground below.)

(Neither Milo nor the Gossifleur even seem to notice.)

Milo: "Hmmm... she hasn't even made a move yet..."

Gossifleur: <As I've noticed. May I?>

Milo: (grinning) "Go on and get 'em!"

(The Gossifleur nods, then suddenly lets loose with a barrage of glowing green and purple leaves from her flower.)

Gossifleur: <How's about this, eh?!>

(Said leaves come hurtling straight towards Ozzy, who instantly stops scratching his claws on the ground and tries his best to dodge them... only to be hit with the leaves and thrown back anyways.)

Kim: (in concern) "Ozzy!" (she runs over to him) "Are you alright?"

(From behind them, the Yamper looks on in concern.)

Yamper: <OH HECC>

Yamper: <ROOKEEDEE GET AWAY FROM THE GOOSIFLOOR>

(But, to Kim's relief, Ozzy simply shakes it off.)

Ozzy: <Ah, I'm fine, Kim. Never felt better, actually.>

Kim: "That's good." (then, to herself) "Still, that move..."

Ozzy: <Magical Leaf. Pretty audacious choice, if you ask me. That's the move the Gossifleur was talking about; the one that never misses.>

Kim: "Ah. I see."

Ozzy: (then, to the Gossifleur) <Go on, keep hitting me. I'm betting you'll have no idea as to what I've got in store.>

Gossifleur: (giggles) <Oh, for sure!>

(And seconds later, Ozzy scratches his talons on the floor again.)

(Again, neither one of them seems to notice.)

Gossifleur: (impatiently) <What is his deal?! He's not even attacking! Is he just going to sit there and let himself get hit some more or what?!>

Milo: "Calm down, Gossifleur, I'm sure she's got somethin' planned..."

Turffield Stadium, Pre-AFD

-Ian continues to record.-

Me: -telepathically to Evelyn- ~I know what Ozzy's planning...~

Evelyn: -telepathically to Ian- ~Oh? What is that Rookidee planning?~

Me: -telepathically to Evelyn- ~Power Trip... With all those Hone Claws, it's sure to strike strong and true... Just watch.~

Turffield Stadium, Pre-AFD

(From behind them, the Yamper tilts his head in confusion.)

Yamper: <what is he doin>

(Meanwhile, on the battlefield...)

Gossifleur: <If he does have something planned, then he should be attacking!> (She scoffs a bit.) <Ah, whatever, I'm goin' again! And this time... with a different move!>

(She opens her mouth, and this time, lets loose a single, solitary note. Ozzy's eyes instantly open wide with shock, as do Kim's.)

Ozzy: (terrified) <Is this... is this Sing?>

Kim: "Or...?"

(From the Gossifleur's mouth suddenly emerge three red, blue, and green circles, which come hurtling towards Ozzy, who suddenly realizes what is going on.)

Ozzy: <Ah. Round.>

Kim: "Dodge it, Ozzy!"

(The circles come towards him, but right before they can hit him, Ozzy flies up to the side of the stadium and once again scratches his claws on the side.)

(Once again, the Gossifleur doesn't notice.)

Gossifleur: <Darn it, I missed... let me go for it again...>

(And once again she lets out a note, and once again, three red, blue, and green circles come straight towards Ozzy, growing bigger as they do so. This time, however, Ozzy simply stays there, confusing Kim.)

Kim: (confused) "Ozzy? What are you doing...?"

(She is interrupted, however, as seconds later, Ozzy is thrown back, and lands on the stadium floor in front of her— this time a lot more damaged than before.)

(The Gossifleur smiles to herself with pride.)

Gossifleur: <Now that's more like it!>

(In concern, Kim runs up to Ozzy, devastated.)

Kim: (concerned) "Ozzy!"

Turffield Stadium, Kim VS Milo

-Recording continues, and Ian leans forward thinking, "Is Ozzy okay?"-

Turffield Stadium, Pre-AFD, Kim vs. Milo

(From behind them, the Yamper grows more panicked, and whimpers to himself.)

Yamper: <oh noes>

Yamper: <is rookeedee ok...?>

Yamper: <HECC U STUPID GOOSIFLOOR>

(Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the crowd bursts into loud cheers, and Kim looks down at Ozzy in concern.)

Kim: "Ozzy, please tell me you're alright..."

(Ozzy groans and pushes himself up.)

Ozzy: <I... I'm fine... that hurt a lot more than I thought it was going to...> (sudden realization) <Oh, god, I think she critted me.>

Kim: "What?!"

Ozzy: <Go to your Pokedex; it should say something about how much HP I have left!>

(Slightly panicked, Kim obeys, taking out her Pokedex. It promptly scans Ozzy, and when she sees how much HP he has left, she grimaces: 14/51, it reads. She puts it away and looks down at Ozzy.)

Kim: (to herself) "14 out of 51..." (then, to Ozzy) "Do you want me to heal you with a Potion? I've got plenty of them in my bag..."

(But, to her slight surprise, Ozzy holds up a wing, waving her off.)

Ozzy: <Oh, no thanks. Not yet. In fact...> (he suddenly flies up into the air, and his wings glow a bright purple) <...now that I'm this low on HP I figure now's the time to take her out.>

(And all of a sudden, Kim realizes what he's trying to do, and nods.)

Ozzy: (smirking) <So... are you ready for this?>

Kim: (smirking right back) "I certainly am."

(She points forward, now with newfound determination.)

Kim: "Ozzy... HIT HER!"

(And within a matter of seconds, Ozzy aims straight towards the Gossifleur, with his wings glowing a bright purple. The Gossifleur, meanwhile, scoffs.)

Gossifleur: <Ah, Power Trip; don't think that's gonna do anythin' to->

(But she is suddenly thrown back by Ozzy's immensely powerful attack, thanks in no large part to the three Hone Claws moves that Ozzy had performed without her noticing.)

(Milo, concerned, turns back towards his Pokemon as she rams into the side of the stadium and a huge cloud of smoke goes up.)

Milo: "Gossifleur!"

(Ozzy flies down to the ground, confident that his attack has defeated the Gossifleur... and as the cloud of smoke dissipates, it becomes apparent that it has— Gossifleur is now lying on the floor with swirls in her eyes.)

(The crowd goes wild with cheers and applause as the board suddenly indicates the following message:)

KIM'S ROOKIDEE HAS DEFEATED MILO'S GOSSIFLEUR!

MILO HAS ONE POKEMON LEFT!
