Foxverse- Gale Station
Stark: "Trap or not, they're still gonna shoot at us once they get the chance"

-Creepy station is creepy-
-Both anthro mon look mildly concerned by the lack of resistance-
Marine tunnel
Blitz: "Oh..."
"Well. Maybe it's a bit cliche, but I guess I assumed some sort of pendant would be easiest? All the other stuff I can think of might be a bit tricky to fit..."
-He stands awkwardly stiff while Maria measures, both because he's not used to it and because usually measurements don't factor into looking at the Water types.-

Rogue: I speak from firsthand experience.
-They do a sort of forehead-tapping gesture-
Rogue: Personally, I'm banking on "expecting us". We'll just have to adapt to whatever they throw at us. And unfortunately we have less resources at our disposal than if we were forgoing the disguises and being open about our identities, but that said, against someone who's watching and waiting for us, not revealing our full hands is a good thing. Save those for future encounters.
-They inspect to see where, exactly, all the cameras within range are.-
Ersatz Dungeon, B2
-Lucius stops, holding up a purplish tendril.-
Lucius: <Hold up. This looks fishy... there might be Water-types ahead.>
-He floats slowly towards the stairs.-
Abandoned Sinnoh Island
-Gaia nods at Jackal.-
Gaia: On it.
-She turns and starts tapping away at the console for a few moments, before frowning with concern beneath her helmet.-
Gaia: ...Something's wrong. I've linked the app and our HUDs to their system, and should be able to make us invisible from here on out, but it's fighting me. It's like someone's sabotaging me from the other end.
A choir of sorts starts singing, a bright light shines over the stairs as from them floats up a Diancie, a ring of pointed diamonds floating around them.
<Hello and good evening, tonight I will be your boss!>
It's Denali, who is very much pleased.
<Oh Lucius! Can't get to the stairs until you beat me in a fight fair and square!>
The stairs coat up with a crystal like object.
Silas nods and boots up the system, he was glad that his time in the Foxverse had made him familiar enough with the systems. Security cams started up and from there they saw what looked to be a contingent of Foxeria Marines attempting to get through, sirens blaring in a area still running life support.
One of the doors was stuck, still shut closed, the lights went out. Silas recognized this, there was no way this was happening.
In the blaring siren and dark, a deep breath could be heard and a red blade ignited, "OKAY WHAT THE HELL?!"
Over the security feed, "OPEN FIRE!"
Silas turned to the team, "Get them out of there now! I'll try to keep the Front distracted, we need to get them to the Dropship and out of here!"
Bishop nodded, "I'll provide assistance captain."
Jackal steps over and looks over the system before adjusting, with a soft hum everyone's phones would either ping or vibrate, signalling the network was connected, "Odd for them to have better security. But it makes sense as Delta finds me amusing enough not to try and stop me."
Hacks looks around a corner and waves at a camera, ~No response. We can get moving.~
"Excellent. Alright everyone, keep your eyes open, our systems now prevent the people in security from knowing what we do to the grunts, so make sure nobody can trigger any alarms... and no killing."
<Overwatch here, the maps updated and I can see your tags on the first floor, funny thing is the map has 6 floors, as the elevator reads. But it stops at floor 3.>
Jackal gave it some thought, "They're hiding something, we're gonna need higher access. Where is security?"
<Floor 3. Be careful.>
Jackal nods, "Fox. Take point."
Fox nods, the eyes on her mask taking on a devious look as she leaps up into the ceiling, "Gotta love these suit systems."
Jackal leads everyone forward, "Rogue, you're familiar with this kind of job. What are your bets on the last 3 floors?"
Space Gate Base Place
-/Duck/ is silent for a moment, watching the feed, playing it over and over in it's mind...-
...
/Duck/: Simulation 346: MMirrorACVad. It's happening... If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

-The cosplayer looks at the big damn sword they brought and nods-
Is it safe for my Porygon to cause chaos?

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Abandoned Sinn Island
"The less detected," Ammy started. "The better. But if we can make it to the higher floors, that's good, too."

<Give 'em hell, Denali!> Nimbus cheered from his seat, looking at the display.

"I swear I should know what's going on," Colton considered as he wrapped his hand around Murmur's grip as he took a few steps back, unsure if he should flee or dive.

[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Ersatz Dungeon B2
-Lucius blinks, then slowly looks up at Denali as though hoping they'll disappear in the time it takes his eyes to reach them.-
Lucius: <Um... couldn't we settle things in some manner that gives me better odds than a Vanillite in a volcano? Like, say, a dance-off or something?>
Abandoned Sinnoh Island, Electrical Plant B1
-Gaia takes a moment to fry the access panel she was using with a crack of her Vine Whip, then falls wordlessly in behind Jackal and Rogue, listening intently.-

Denali frowned a bit and displayed what looked like a stat screen, showing relatively low stats, <I nerfed myself for your benefit here! You think I'm unfair Lucius?>
The stats bumped a few levels, <Then you aren't setting Halis up for the J-Team properly!>
Denali started to fire moonblasts about, <Life ain't fair and anything you face certainly won't be!>
Ersatz Dungeon B2
Lucius: <Aaah!>
-The first Moonblast hits him and knocks him off-balance, but he manages to recover and dart between the rest.-
Lucius: <Okay, good point! Lesson number three, kid, always be ready for a sudden and unexpected-slash-inevitable betrayal! Hit 'em from behind!>
-As if to demonstrate, he extends a tendril of Obscura to try and hit Denali in the back with a Shadow Sneak.-
Edited by Herbert40k on Feb 2nd 2019 at 3:45:35 PM
The rock Halis was hiding behind ends up getting blasted right away, and they end up getting knocked back a bit.
Halis: <Hey, woah woah! Now you're just being mean... Well, fine, i-if this is the game we're playing, so be it!>
They start to get a bit upset by this and materialize a ball of Powder Snow, sending it flying at Denali.
-Rogue inspects the map, curiously.-
Rogue: That's a tricky question to answer, frankly. It depends on what the purpose of this building is. Is it R&D, or a resource management building, or something else? I don't think we're going to be able to predict what to expect on lower floors, until we do some investigation around the areas we can reach. Find whatever info we can up here. It's a lot easier that we're not crashing through guns-blazing, at least. In particular, these locked rooms have to be hiding something worth locking away, so if we can get in there...

-Ace grabs his katana hilt and Shaun readies his bow.-
Shaun: "On it."
-The Birb trio departs.-

Vulpecula: "Do we want to take out these cameras?"
The Armored Arcanine: <Bro if you want I'm on that shit like brown on rice>
-Shaun stops for a second before realizing she's technically right.-

-Pent was having one of those nights. The kind of night where you force yourself to midnight just to see what happens next. As usual the clock ticked on into a new day, nothing weird going on. Pent sat on the bench he was sitting on and pondered what to do-
-The brief thought of single-handedly destroying a couple of enemy Teams in the morning. And then he got a different thought he just had to ping to the J-Team chat-

what do you think
While I would be reluctant to say that I have a "type", I do find it to be quite an attractive aesthetic.
um... sure? i guess?
I was under the impression that this chat was created to discuss matters of serious import. This strikes me as rather off-topic.
(Also yes.)
why, you looking to pass along his number?
cause i'm always available
Jackal nodded to Rogue, rounding a corner and clasping his bionic arm around a grunt and pulling them aside, chokeholding until they passed out. "Remove the cameras as quietly as possible, so long as the feed continues to show a loop we're good. As for the locked rooms. My bets are trophy rooms and armories, areas that would be logically locked off."
Bishop spoke up, "Statistically speaking this means to expedite our work we must take over the security center as that would have the most access."
Jackal looked over the map again, "Agreed. No sign of any server rooms here, those are usually my main target so we have to work with this."
Fox reached down and picked up a guard and their mon, "Elevator is clear everyone."
"Overwatch how is it looking?"
<The patrols aren't anywhere near the elevator. Take the chance now.>
Jackal nodded and sprinted over to the elevator door, getting it open and motioning for everyone else, "We're going straight down to Security. If we're met with resistance we'll take out as many as possible."
Fox leaped down and stood next to Jackal, looking pleased with herself.
The Frost stung Denali, only for the obscuric tendril to cause them to "Leap" in the air from the touch.
<Oh that's how you wanna play huh?!>
Diamonds formed and it began to rain jewellery.

The two just stared as the two walked away, around them. Goz and Mez were highly confused by this turn of events.
In the next room, there they were, the stairs out of this dungeon, just sitting out in the open waiting, it seemed so easy... too easy perhaps.
"Trap or not, we got called on board for a reason. Keep close and keep aware, though in my case it shouldn't be too hard," Silas commented before the armored leku on the back of his helmet began to levitate a bit, "I can see ahead."
Bishop let out a snort, "As always Captain you desire to show off."
"Of course this means I'm prime material to lead since it means that not only am I more likely to be shot, I also have the best way of spotting ambushes."
Silas stepped forward, the ambient noise generators of the helmets and suits simulating the sound his boots made as they clanked, sticking to the floor.
They were surprisingly unmet by any major resistance, instead making to a security command deck with little issue, "Thaaaat's creepy."
Behind the loose panel would be a computer router hooked up to numerous cords and cables, Jackal took notice, "Get the app working with that ASAP Gaia. The sooner, the closer we are to invisible."
~Rogue has some points, what's with security?~
"Could be anything, usually when it's just me it's very easy to get overlooked by security but we're an entire invading force. I have a few theories."
Snakeye looked over, <List em hoss, we ain' got all day.>
"First off is that they wasted most of their budget on this island thus don't have the funds. Second is that Banshee is actively expecting us and this is a test. Third is that since Delta seems to know so much he's tweaking security as we speak as a favor to us, possibly also to get better observation of what we're doing and how we work. Only one of them works in our favor and somehow I don't think that."
<What makes you say that?>
Jackal pointed ahead, and stuck in the wall, ever so sneakily hidden away was a security camera.
"I spotted a few more up in the electric plant. I'm surprised no one else did, the app and HUD works to point these things out."
