Ren: Of course.

-Ren breathes a sigh of relief. The hard part was done. Now it was a matter of keeping the show running.-

Martin: Well now that Renard is an official member of this board, I'd like to second his previous suggestion on how to proceed on dealing with Mercador-Clavis.

-There is an palpable shock throughout the board room at this statement. Martin had just shown how well he could play the game of business affairs. Some were much more pleased than others.-

Eric: -chuckles, while in thought- That was clever, Martin. You deliberately got Renard voted in as a full head before this. Since Ren's plan wasn't something we could just vote to approve before now because he did have full head status. And by seconding his plan, you have effectively forced those who would stand against this plan for their own gain into the open. So regardless if this is voted through - since you can get also get it done via the conglomerate's bureaucracy - you would still have the advantage due to knowing who your opponents are.

Martin: With that, we will now vote by show of hands. All those in favor of having Aphrodite take control of Mercador-Clavis and its assets.

-Martin relaxes his shoulders a bit.-

Nah, it was hilarious. Man, when Arundi described where they came from to us I was really surprised it wasn't, like, a bamboo forest or something since that's where we met them. Guess it makes sense though since Celesteela create a lot of flame for Steel/Flying types.
