Kalosvania
???: Serana. I'd say Clan Volkihar but when you're the last one remaining it's perhaps a moot point. My companion is Dardenette-
-The pale trainer waves before drifting into a wall while everyone's distracted with introductions-
Serana: And the Absol doesn't have a name yet, I'm still trying to decide on one that fits.
Absol: <Greetings vamp man.>
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Kanto Route 4 - Some Time Ago
-Lucius shrugs at Halis.-
Lucius: Yeah, maybe. It's not as cool or convenient as it sounds, though. More like riding a bike that turns into a unicycle at the precise moment that you don't want it to.
-He thinks for a moment.-
Lucius: Listen... since you're clearly interested in this stuff, how about I try and show you some of the ropes? Arceus knows I shouldn't be taking responsibility for anyone, but it's better than you stumbling around blind, and I've got the experience that comes from a lifetime of fuckups. Whaddya say?

Pewter City, Six Dudes - Present
-A couple of days after their initial encounter, Lucius is sitting with Halis in one of his preferred haunts - though this time he hasn't betrayed his principles and has gone for the veggie sandwich.-
Lucius: Man, it has been too long since I had some good fast food. Too damn long.
-He wipes sauce from his mouth with the back of his hand before addressing Halis.-
Lucius: So. I'm guessing if you had weird powers or an ancient curse upon your family, you'd have mentioned it by now, so I'm gonna start with something a little more basic. Is that Aron really your only mon?
Halis nods.
Halis: "Yes, actually. Aran beat the people in the gym two-to-one both times! She's actually really strong... it's no wonder she's my first one. Also, no, the only curse I have is that of being extraordinarily boring... I think. Does that count as a curse? I think it does."
Halis then checks their messages on their now-clean PDA before putting it away, seeing nothing interesting.
Pewter City, Six Dudes - Present
Lucius: Well, I'm glad to hear you have yourself such a capable partner, but she's still just one mon. Trust me, having a good team behind you helps out a lot. No amount of self-reliance is gonna make up for that. And hey, "boring" is like "normal" in that it doesn't really mean anything. It's just another way of dismissing-
-He is interrupted by the waiter coming over and placing a bill on the table. Lucius picks it up and looks at it with mild consternation.-
Lucius: ...Hmm.
-He turns to Halis.-
Lucius: I hate to ask so much of you so early in your journey, but... do you have any money? Only I'm not very liquid right now.
Halis gives them roughly about double of what the bill is.
Halis: "Here you go! I actually have a lot more money than what a lot of people probably have when they start out... have you heard of the Aria Depot? My parents founded it... it's a shipping company that works for another company, but I forget the name of the company they work for... uh..."
Halis thinks about it for a minute before disregarding it.
Halis: "Uh, anyway, my point is that if you need more you can let me know."
Pewter City, Six Dudes
-Lucius scratches his chin.-
Lucius: Come to think of it, the name does ring a bell... my dad used to hang out with a lot of rich assholes back in the day. Not to imply that your parents were assholes, of course, but the two tend to go hand-in-hand. I mean, I was rich, and I was a real asshole. Still am, arguably. I forgot where I was going with this.
-He stands up dramatically.-
Lucius: Anyway! Point is, I think some homework would be good for you. Catch another mon and beat another gym, and that should hopefully give me time to think of another lesson. Sound good?
Halis is a bit concerned about the comment prior to the mission statement, but disregards it, standing up as well.
Halis: "Alright then. I think the next one was a water-type gym leader? It shouldn't be too difficult to find something for that, as long as said something isn't a Zubat... I ran into way too many of those on the way here. Bleh. Uh, anyway, when I'm done I'll probably end up waiting for you somewhere around the Pokemon center in Cerulean City, since we met in one the first time and I can't think of anywhere else I'd go afterwards at the moment."
Pewter City, Six Dudes
-Lucius nods.-
Lucius: Okay, good luck. Just gimme a call if something comes up in the meantime. In the words of famous artists-slash-philosophers the Offspring, you're gonna go far, kid.
-His hand hovers for a moment as if to pat Halis on the back, before awkwardness gets the better of him and he just kinda walks away.-
Halis waits for a moment, thinking about everything that's happened...
Halis: "...Hm... what's "The Offspring"? Something tells me I'm either going to forget to ask or it'll never be explained... oh well. Water types, water types... what's a good counter for those..."
They then move to leave the building, looking at their PDA for information and starting their search of the routes around Cerulean City for a suitable second Pokemon to help in their travels, the thoughts of new knowledge lingering in their mind as they do so.

To: Kylo Elric
From: Ever
hey! this is Ever's Chimecho Breeze!
I've probably thrown you off a building at least once, so you should remember me!
Can you get to Nimbasa conveniently, because Ever's sort of doing an Ever thing and could probably use a hand! So to speak!
but don't tell them i said so! their Ever thing includes a deep unwillingness to ask for help!

-To Channah-
We've been together Okay not "together" together, but you get what I mean. I've messed up plenty over the years. And yes, I did, like that one meme, I contain multitudes.

-Lucius hears his phone buzz as soon as he walks out of the Six Dudes, and looks down at Breeze's message.-
Lucius: ...Huh.
From: Lucius

Nimbasa City, Ever's House
-Barely a minute passes before Lucius and an Alakazam appear outside with a blip.-
Lucius: Okay, you're sure this is Ever's house? Because this really doesn't feel like the time to be joking around.
Maul: ~I never joke.~
Lucius: ...Right.
-He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door.-
Ever's House
-the door is opened by a Chimecho, obviously-
Breeze: <Hey Lucius!>
-who is, despite clearly being done texting, still using Ever's phone-
Breeze: <Did you know that you can just buy food on the Internet? I've ordered like five different pizzas.>
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.Ever's House
-Lucius blinks.-
Lucius: That... I did know that, but that might actually be some half-decent forethought on your part. I don't know Ever's personal stance on pizza - if they like Pinap Berries on it then I may have to kill them - but they've got to eat something.
-He tries to look past Breeze.-
Lucius: Speaking of Ever, where's their room? I, uh, I think this is the first time I've been here.

Victor smirked as they hauled ass out of there, he turned to the other patron, "Now, who might you be?"
"Seems everything functions perfectly," Silas noted.
Hacks nodded, ~Yep, now then, hook me up and let's try all 6!~
Silas blinked, but did as asked, transferring the funnel control to Hacks, who grinned and closed his eyes, extending his aura outward to see around them.
The 6 funnels detached from Horizon and started to zip around the training zone blasting every target and dummy turret they could, Silas took over the main control and soon Horizon was flying through the field as well firing and slashing what it could.
~You know if you could just use telepathy in pokemon form this would probably be a lot easier for you.~
"I'll work on getting the normal control working."
