-"Ramonas eyes fly open and shoots at Roy and Sunny full of energy."-

Ramona, super happy mode, and talking a mile a minute: How did you get to this planet? Why are you on this planet? Why are you pokemon? Are all pokemon aliens? Are humans aliens? Am I an alien? Why are you red? Where's your UFO? How can you breath the earths air?-

Carrie, as Ramona keeps talking: <maybe you should have let her sleep it off.>

-"Ramona gose on to ask the two hundreds of question with out stoping to breath."-

The "someone" mentioned before heads down onto the main arena of the gym, clapping. It's Brock, the leader of the Gym, who had been watching the whole thing from the start.

Brock: "That was an impressive showing of power. What's your name, trainer?"

Halis: "Uh, it's Halis... this is my Pokemon, Aran."

They hold up Aran, now cleaned and healed from any previously-incurred damages.

Brock: "Well, Halis, I'd definitely say you've earned your fight against me after all that. Two powerhouses of defense, clashing... this will definitely be interesting. The only question now is, are you ready to get started?"

Halis looks at Aran, and Aran gives a nod back.

Halis: "Seems like Aran is good to go if you are."

Halis is challenged by Gym Leader Brock!

Brock sends out his Geodude first, and Halis lets go of Aran, who takes her spot on the arena.

Brock: "Alright, Geodude, use Tackle!"

Halis: "Aran, counter it with a Headbutt of your own."

The two 'mons clash against each-other, seemingly stuck in a reverse tug-of-war, but Aran gets the better end of the deal due to being Steel/Rock type and pushes back the Geodude a good deal.

Halis: "Now Metal Claw while they're open, maybe?"

Brock: "Defense Curl, quick!"

Unfortunately for Brock, the command came out a bit too late and Geodude recieves the full, unguarded brunt of a Metal Claw, fainting almost immediately.

Brock: "Jeez, I knew you'd be strong, but not this strong... but we're not done yet. Onix, go!"

Brock sends out his Onix, towering over everyone in the room. Halis is a bit intimidated.

Halis: "Oh, uh... oh dear, that's a large Pokemon... uh, use Harden to protect yourself, Aran."

Aran does so, gaining an extra layer of armor on top of her current one.

Brock: "Onix, Bide whatever that Aron throws at you!"

The Onix prepares itself to take damage.

Halis: "Oh, it's not doing much... use Metal Claw."

Aran swipes at the towering rock snake, pushing it back and making it emit a cry, but it keeps standing its ground otherwise.

Brock: "Come on, just hold your ground a bit longer..."

Halis: "Hm... Harden again?"

Yet another layer of protective armor is added to Aran.

Brock: "Alright, now! Unleash your fury!"

The Onix roars in fury as it uses its head to swing at Aran, who ends up clashing against it with them completely locked against each-other... but Onix's strength eventually overcomes Aran, causing her to fly back, though still able to stand pretty well after such a brutal attack.

Halis: "...Now, Aran, use Headbutt one last time."

Aran jumps up, aiming at Onix's head, and once more, the two clash, but this time Onix is pushed to the brink and finally falls over, fainted from the intensity of the collisions during the fight. Aran lands, shedding the excess armor and going back over to her side of the arena, laying down in front of Halis.

Aran: <Whooh... tough work, but rewarding. I can feel myself getting better already.>

Brock recalls the fallen Onix, going over to Halis.

Brock: "Well, I gotta hand it to you, you and your Aron are definitely coordinated. I'd say you've earned this."

He offers the Boulder Badge to Halis, who takes it and puts it in a holding case for later admiration.

Brock: "Just remember, though, not every fight's going to be that easy for you. You will be pushed around yourself, but if you keep up your defenses like you did here, you'll have no issues, I'm sure of it."

Halis: "Well, uh... that's nice of you to say, thank you, but we have places to be now... namely the Pokecenter to make sure Aran's alright."

Halis recalls Aran.

Brock: "Hey, wait, before you go..."

Brock fumbles around in a pocket and hands a weird CD-looking thing to Halis.

Brock: "That's TM-80, Rock Slide. I think your Aron would appreciate having that in its arsenal, alongside Headbutt, since they can both cause the enemy to flinch."

Halis: "Oh, uh, thanks again... see you later, I guess."

Halis starts walking away, waving back at Brock a bit.

Brock: "Safe travels!"

With that, Halis leaves the gym, one badge obtained, and heads to the Pokecenter to rest up Aran in preparation for future adventures.

Asimov Christmas

Cram a sock in it and maybe you'll find out, Ramona might find herself thinking.

"We're fire-types, we're not aliens, altough it's gray for me since I'm from a video game," Roy started. "Honestly, all your other questions are kinda dumb. Aliens only really exist via multiverse theory."

Pewter City Pokemon Center

-Lucius is sitting in the lobby, staring intently at nothing in particular while his Bisharp is idly carving marks into the nearby wall.-

Lucius: ...Do you ever find yourself paralysed by the fact that sometimes, bad things happen to good people for no reason, and there's nothing we can do about it?

Falchion: <No, because I'm not a good person, and so I don't have to worry about that.>

Santalune City

-Two young women - one with deep black hair and the other with stark white - are wandering down the street, deep in discussion.-

Lissa: ...All I'm saying is, I don't get why we have to lay low in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. We know where she's gonna hit, she's always running around Lumiose! Let's head up to the big city, rent a fancy hotel room, hit up some posh bars, and live the high life for a while, y'know?

-Her companion sighs.-

Alice: Your work ethic does you credit, but until we are certain that she is about to make a move I would rather not alert her to our presence in the-

-She stops as she notices Nora.-

Alice: ...What exactly is that Raichu hoping to accomplish?

Lissa: I dunno, but if that cute redhead's her trainer, then I know exactly what I'm hoping to accomplish. Rawr.

-Alice lets out a long groan.-

Alice: That settles it. I am taking you to the Pokecenter to have you spayed.

Lissa: Awww, at least lemme have a little fun beforehand, at least?

-She lets her hair down and shakes it free as she wanders up to Rose.-

Lissa: Hey there. Need some help? 'Cause I'm a sucker for a pretty face, and you're adorable when you pout.

-"Ramona nods knowingly."-

Ramona: Right, right, I see... What's multivers theory?

-Rose just blinks, and looks up at Lissa from her book, staring somewhat incredulously.-

Rose: ...Uh. Hi. Was I pouting? Kind of a weird thing for a stranger to notice.

Asimov Christmas

"Basically, every decision made branches out into a universe where the opposite decision occured.

"Also, apparently, all the media you create is subsequently created as another universe," Roy figured.

After healing Aran, Halis lets her out before noticing the Bisharp carving into the wall, going over to the two and trying to stop this in a non-physical manner.

Halis: "H-hey, you really shouldn't do that... property damage isn't nice."

Aran just stares at these two, suspicious of their intents.

Pewter City Pokemon Center

-The Bisharp just turns to face Halis with a bored look in his eye.-

Falchion: <"Property" is just a concept invented by the man to keep us complacent.>

-Lucius, however, jolts alert at suddenly being addressed.-

Lucius: Oh, uh... knock it off, Falchion.

-Falchion shrugs, but does as his trainer says. Lucius looks over at Halis, and it should be noted that three things are immediately apparent about him - his favourite colour is grey, he's probably not allowed on most rollercoasters, and his right sleeve is tied up in a knot at a point above where the elbow should be.-

Lucius: Sorry about that. I'm a little out of it at the moment.

Santalune City

-Lissa grins.-

Lissa: 'Lil bit. Don't worry. Like I said, it's real cute.

-She rather brazenly attempts to peer over Rose's shoulder to glimpse at her book.-

Lissa: Whatcha reading?

Ramona: Ah, I see... so can you tell me what planet you're from?

-"Aya and Carrie shake their heads and sigh, realizing that their trainer hasn't understood a word that was said to her."-

Halis: "Oh, it's fine... I actually just got done with a Gym battle, so it's been a bit of an exciting day for me... also a bit frightening, but I guess that's just how life is."

Aran: <Respecting other's property is something everyone should do. Saying it's just a concept is like saying someone shouldn't be allowed to self-determine just because we didn't choose to exist.>

Halis, however, doesn't entirely seem to be aware of what either the Bisharp or their own Aron are saying, instead solely focusing on Lucius.

-Rose sorta shrinks back at having her personal space intruded on.-

Rose: It's a novel a friend let me borrow.

Nora: ~One of her friends is like, this ridiculous bookworm.~

Asimov Party

He's from Blazing Sigil, Ramona would hear in her head. Don't worry, it's just the Delphox sitting across from him.

Pewter City Pokemon Center

-Lucius smiles at Halis.-

Lucius: Oh, nice. Man, it's been ages since I last battled a gym. Last time would've been... Unova, I think? Course, back then I still had all my mons with me. Thought I could beat the world with just determination and a winning smile. Who doesn't at fifteen?

-Falchion, meanwhile, nods at Aran.-

Falchion: <No argument here. Life's all about choice. Some people choose to have property, and I choose to take it.>

Santalune City

-Lissa pulls back and looks between Rose and Nora with a grin and a raised eyebrow.-

Lissa: Oh? And who's this friend? Are they just a friend, or are they a friend friend?

Ramona: Oh, like the character from smash bros. What was their name... Lucena!

Aya: <I'm sorry, she's kinda dens. But, she's a good person.>

Aran is obviously a bit irritated by this, but chooses to keep calm about it... for now, anyway.

Aran: <You do what suits you, and the world will pay you in kind.>

Halis: "Oh? You had others? It's just been Aran and me since we came here from Sinnoh... it all seems so close, yet far away now. That being said, though, you wanna look at some fun facts I've been reading up on?"

Halis shows Lucius the PDA. Its screen is filled with advertisements and pop ups about winning free mobile devices, with a small bit of screenspace reserved for the actual "facts" which are complete nonsense, including one that seems to directly reference Halis by name, oddly enough.

Rose: What? No. She's not...

-She pauses, considering the fact that Lissa is blatantly coming on to her.-

Rose: ...I. Already have someone I'm with. Yeah.

Nora: ~What? And you didn't tell me?! I'm hurt that you would keep secrets from me, your friend—~

Rose: Nora please chill for a moment.

Asimov, Christmas

"Yeah, I can see that," Roy agreed, gesturing to Aya.

Sure. Smash. Why not, Ramona might hear again.

In Sunny's psychic grip was a choker studded with a Master Ball-looking emblem. It levitated in front of Ramona's face.

"Try it," Roy allowed. "Quick warning. Even after taking it off you'll be able to understand Pokémon for the rest of your life."

Pewter City Pokemon Center

-Falchion gives Aran a wry smile.-

Falchion: <I'd say it's done so already.>

-Lucius, meanwhile, squawks like a dying Pidove and throws up his one arm to cover his eyes at the sight of Halis's PDA.-

Lucius: Augh! Put it away! Put it away! My laptop's gonna get a hundred different viruses from me just looking at that!

-He addresses Halis through a gap in his fingers.-

Lucius: ...Kid, speaking as one Sinn to another, lemme introduce you to the wonderful world of "adblock".

Santalune City

-Lissa raises her other eyebrow, faintly disbelievingly.-

Lissa: ...Really? Guess I shouldn't be surprised when you look as good as you do.

-She plonks herself down next to Rose.-

Lissa: So, are they a boy? Girl? Both? Neither? What're they like? They nice? They'd better be nice. Is it a serious thing, or just a way to blow off steam on weekends?

Rose: ...Can you stop, please? This is really uncomfortable.

Ultra Desert

Channah: <Guess we shouldn't really sneak in. Is there someone we can talk to?> -looks at what may or may not be the entrance-

Hale: -settles a questioning look on Helios- <...Issomethingthematter.>

Aran: <Must be slow-acting, then. Hmph.>

Halis is surprised by this reaction, looking at the device and back at them.

Halis: "Viruses? But all these people keep sending me wonderful advice and kind words! Why would they be trying to hurt me?"

In the time it's taken to exchange this dialogue, it's switched pages at least 5 times on its own by this point. All of the "people" in question in the emails are randomly named, though funnily enough one of the names is an anagram of Halis's own.
