Mezzo: You know, if I owned this gym, I'd actually paint it red.
Pianis: Red, not black?
Mezzo: It's Vermillion City. Besides, red and black go great together. It's the evil aesthetic.
Pianis: You want an evil aesthetic?
Mezzo: Why would I not want an evil aesthetic? I mean come on, evil is cool.
Pianis: You're not doing much to improve the public perception of Dark trainers. Maybe that's why you don't have a gym yet.
Mezzo: Whatever. You're just not goth enough to understand.

Ren: Wait... "Father"? "Son"?
Izanagi-no-Okami: Indeed. But explanations must saved for later. Susanoo was never one for subtlety.
-To the Criminal- As for you, I suppose it wasn't enough to expel you from the the Celestial Plane. And now it seems you have deigned to involve mortals. Not least the one mortal I have come to call comrade. DOES YOUR ARROGANCE KNOW NO BOUNDS?!
-Izangi-no-Okami begins to chant in a carrying whisper full of Susanoo's past and secrets meant to lower the special defenses of polluted being.-
Ren: -in thought- Are family issues just a thing with the people I know best?
-out loud- I guess it's time to really let loose then.
-Ren bend his arm at the elbow as he begins to levitate slightly. The photon spewing from Ren's glowing eyes bursts forth in a massive font of energy, coalescing into a dense ball of flame-like mist on Ren's raised hand.-
Ren: PHOTON BURST! STORM!
-And then with a loud roar of displaced air, Ren fires off a massive burst of energy at the Susanoo.-
Arthur and Jimmy had spent the past hour just recounting stories of their various exploits, seems they had more in common than expected.
"So, what are you going to do next?" Jimmy asked looking over at the ship behind Arthur, who shrugged, "I think I'll head over to Angela, check up on my grandson, see what the hell he's doing in that professional circuit."
Jimmy nodded, "I'm gonna stick around the island myself for a bit, I can see the need for someone with security training."
Arthur let out a chuckle, "How much of the weird do you know?"
"Beyond you apparently being a corpse piloted by a ghost sword, not a lot, why?"
"Tell me, what would you do if I said the people here had mystic artifacts that let them control form, and my friend Denali was secretly a Diance?"
Jimmy shrugged, "At the first one, it'd be weird but honestly after all the shit I've gone through, would explain some things. Such as that Mew I saw before the Pecha Mecha attack at Best Berry. As for Denali, I figured as much."
Denali looked insulted, "I am not that obvious!"
"You're so goddamn gem pink that the only way nobody notices is that you've got some sort of perception filter up!"
Denali pouted, "People here are aware so I made it more obvious!"
Arthur laughed, "So my friend, where will you be headed next?"
"I'm gonna head back to Lumiose, I got a place of business to run, mega gems and evolutionary stones to sell. A broken sad boy who needs a lot of therapy. I keep busy!"
Arthur stood up and smiled, shaking Jimmy's hands, "Truly with a soldier like you, the J-Team should be ready."
"They don't really need guys like me, but I stick around because something is up," Jimmy explained.
Arthur smiled and turned back to his ship only for Ranger to go, <Do you even know what your grandson currently looks like? Cause if he's a Lucario now, that doesn't narrow it down.>
Arthur sighed, that was a very good point, "Wait he has a metal arm now. We could find him that way."
Denali smiled and handed Arthur a picture, of a Lucario in a green scarf with a silver left arm with a blue star on it. Arthur nodded and showed it to his team, "Thank you Denali."
"Hey no problem, good luck, what are you going to do while you're there?"
Arthur smiled, "Teach him how to swordfight."
-Mezzo snaps her finger-
Mezzo: I've got it. The whole gym could have an evil fortress theme, with me as the Wicked Queen. Ooooh, that'd be fun.
Pianis: Okay...?
Mezzo: And as you go further inside it steadily becomes more corrupted by darkness until you see me on the throne, cackling as I greet you...
Pianis: Wouldn't gradual corruption be more of a Poison thing?
Mezzo: Look, just because your girlfriend is a Poison trainer doesn't mean you need to take that from me.
Pianis: And why are you talking like you own this gym already?
Mezzo: What? I mean, come on, the leader here is [American], isn't he? Why couldn't I take it then? I could probably do a way better job running it than him.
Pianis: Good luck with that.

Hello,
I am Jean-Marie Martel, a senior editor at Illumis Geographe and a member of the executive editorial board at Geographic Society Kalos.
In the previous month, one of our producers, Ms. Aphrodite Clavis, has worked toward giving one of our directors, Gavin Albright, access to the PEFE facility as part of our ''in situ' coverage of the PEFE's research and monitoring activities on the extradimensional rifts. Understandably, this has been delayed because of Mr. Multiman's assault on Lumiose City. In doing so, we also hope to return some of the equipment to the Geographic Society's Unova office and the personal effects and Pokémon of the staff members who worked in the Stormchaser prior.
Also attached among the documents is the application and contact details of one Ivan Losken, an psychic auric individual looking to develop his gifts. Thus far, his skill set includes healing, which I believe would make him an excellent asset for an organization involved heavily in field work. He also needs training, and one of the few organizations capable included the J-Team.
Yours,
Jean-Marie Martel, Captain (Gendarme of Kalos, Ret.)

I took the liberty of forwarding your data to the staff at the PEFE Headquarters if you wish to learn more hands-on. Jocelyn's offer to write a recommendation letter to a pre-med and medical or veterinary school of your choice also stands if you wish to continue on a more effective path toward using aura powers in healing.

"Flash Cannon!"
Stylus leaps and points his left arm at the Vaporeon, firing flash cannon.

A certain Unovan was sitting on the edge of his bed, thumbs pounding away on a controller as he practiced a fighting game combo. His jacket rested on the bed behind him, neatly laid out.
The same could not be said about his now-dirty clothes, shoved into a hamper. His jacket somehow remained pristine, as did the headphones placed near its collar.
Roy materialized suddenly, startling Colton into dropping his controller, and the combo. “The hell?” He demanded, looking at the Fire Emblem character dusting off a folder beside the bed.
Eventually, Roy turned to face him, silently gesturing to the folder in question. At a glance, his trainer understood what he was asking, and his breath caught in his throat.
“Roy,” he sighed. “I’m thankful for the gesture. Really, I am. Two months looking through the book to find its secrets, including the techniques hidden in the back. Really, thanks.
“But what, aside from bragging rights, will having those skills help me with?” He asked. “And even then, I’d be stepping on Darkrai’s turf.
“Besides, that crap is absurdly difficult. Could take upwards of a decade to figure it out,” Colton said. “It’s better to just leave those skills to be forgotten to time,” he brushed off.
Roy looked at the folder in his hand and silently set it down. He had to concede his trainer was right. There was no reason, no way, he could learn those techniques. But he wasn’t going to just destroy all his hard work. That was two months he’d never get back.
With that consideration, the folder teleported in a green flash onto a shelf that also held every single badge Colton earned as well as the robotic arm he acquired on the same day as the Prax. All objects left to gather dust as trophies.
The folder was opened up, its two pages, one describing Dark Void, and the other, Twilight, laid face-up, the first page’s lower right corner obscuring the lower left corner of the second page.
“Although there’s nothing left,” Colton realized.

“There’s... nothing left,” Ambition realized.

He exited the training and let his game save before he performed a full shutdown. He draped his infinite backpack over the chair and sat himself down, opening up his laptop and cracked his knuckles.
His fingers glided along the keyboard, describing the necessary forms for Obscura to take, as well as tips, for how to recreate such moves. The information was scattered haphazardly, but Colton didn’t care much. It was something to fix in post.
His specialty.
