-Gudrunn is dragged by the dress, but she is tall enough she gets dragged away slowly, leaving enough time for the rift to react-

-It becomes an outright bolt of energy at Gudrunn's presence, and upon her being dragged away it promptly rockets away into the horizon-

Egghead: <MARVELOUS>

Locke: ...What just happened?

Kurow: <Something freaky, that's what.>

-Soujin tries intervening here-

Soujin: "Uh, hey, what's got you two shouting?"

Maggie: "Uh... alright."

-Slliuq swims up to shore-

Slliuq: <Gniht a... saw taht, llew...>

Maggie: "Yeah... dunno if I should trust the guy, but... might as well."

-She texts someone-

Fuego: <...ugh! If we knew magic we could cast a spell to detect library cards!>

-he grabs his head in frustration, sinking into the ground a little-

Ghostus: <That sounds like it'd give you a lot of false positives if that's all it did..>

<Anyway, how'd you get in a mess like this?>

-Shaun dislodges himself from Locke.-

Shaun: "What the actual fuck."

-A pause.-

Shaun: "Actually, the way my life is, that's not even the weirdest thing I've seen all week."

"'What am I on about?'" Colton echoed. "Is it really such a crazy thing to show a little compassion for another living being?"

(Quirinus lets out a cold, mocking laugh.)

Quirinus: ~Compassion? You mean that thing humans call their stupid fucking self-righteous tendencies, their insistence on pretending to be somehow more caring than those nasty wild mons? Fuck off. I prefer wildmons. Least they're honest about the nature of life.~

(A pause. Then another curious headtilt.)

Quirinus: ~And you still haven't told me what supposedly broke...~

-Gudrunn wakes up, gasping-

Gudrunn: Cretins! How dare you-

-blinks-

Wait, what happened? Where did the rift go?

Jessica: <Oh, it flew into the sky.>

Shaun: "Yep, just took off like one of Aismov's rockets."

-The bolt of energy stops just above the ground, opening a rift-

-Five women fall out-

"Well, I would guess your foot," Colton started. "but that's not relevant right now.

"I mean; I get it. You have no faith in humanity. I'm in the offending crowd, and I've felt the same way. And if you want honesty..." he chuckled.

"I can tell that you wear that mask due to the fact that there is something about you even you yourself don't like. You refuse help from others because you see it as a sign of weakness. I can tell you hate humanity, no doubt because a select few also tie into why you wear that mask." Colton summarized, looking into his "eyes".

He had his hand on Helmsman's Pokeball in case the Delphox REALLY wanted his head, now.

-Elizabeth walks in, having just gotten off of work.-

Elizabeth: "I'm home!"

-She grabs one of the two custom Great Balls off of her purse strap and releases a Mimikyu in a Sylveon costume.-

Oberon: <Hark, companions! We have returned from our quest with nourishments!>

Elizabeth: "I brought food from work."

-In walk (?) a Primarina, Hypno, and Pa'u Oricorio.-

Olivia: <Smells good! How was work?>

Elizabeth: "Same old, same old."

Christine: <Aristotle ate earlier. Berries and some rice, as usual.>

-The Hypno nods towards the food.-

Elizabeth: "Pasta and salad."

-He nods.-

Olivia: <Well, I worked up an appetite practicing! Let's eat!>

Christine: <Darling, would you mind brewing me a cup of tea please?>

Elizabeth: "Sure thing, Chris. You four want the usual?"

-She frowns and counts the Mons she was addressing. One, two, three. No Kadabra.-

Elizabeth: "Right..."

Christine: <Don't fret, Elizabeth. I'm certain Lyra's fine.>

Elizabeth: "I know, I know...when she gets back I'm never letting her out of my sight again."

Haku: "She can take care of herself."

Elizabeth: "I suppose...so hot tea, lemonade, water, and soda?"

Olivia: "Soda as usual."

-Haku nods.-

Oberon: <Actually, I would prefer a tankard of mead.>

Elizabeth: "You get lemonade."

Oberon: <I thank thee for thy gracious offer of the sweet yet tart beverage."

-She sets about her task.-

(For a few seconds, the blank glass sheets concealing Quirinus's eyes stare right back. He seems momentarily stunned, completely unsure of how to react to Colton. Finally, he gives up and looks down, finally noticing the strange angle at which his foot is bending.)

Quirinus: ...

(With a single swift movement and a *crunch* that makes the one accompanying the collision with the rock seem tame by comparison, Quirinus grabs the offending foot and viciously dislocates it back into its proper position. By all rights, it looks hideously painful, yet he comes no closer to acknowledging any discomfort than he did when it broke.)

Quirinus: ~Hope you weren't expecting me to thank you for that.~

(He pauses. Again, blank glass bores into human eyes.)

Quirinus: ~You're just like the others. Always trying to pin my hatred of your kind on some fault on my end, you know? The bloated human ego can't handle the idea that, maybe, just maybe, I've seen your true face. You love to convince yourselves that what's under this mask is some fluke, some horrible rarity, and not the perfect representation of the traits you wish didn't fucking define you.~

Colton regained eye contact, not really having the stomach too keep a straight face through that sickening noise created by the Delphox's foot *crunch*ing into place.

"Okay now I'm paranoid you've broken your foot." He said bluntly. "And the fault, despite what I've probably been sounding like, is not on your end." He examined. "Rather, it comes from whichever humans made you, you."

"This entire conversation has only given me so much to analyze. If you wanna be playing 20Q, by all means.

Celeste: <Yeah, but now we can't because we don't have the books.>

Shadow: <I'm not going to do a psychic scan for you just to find a library card.>

Celeste: <But Uncle Shadow, how are we supposed to find it then?>

Shadow: <Try looking around.>

-Krieg is standing near the jagged path, talking to the man in white-

Krieg: I talked to the Locals. All them the ones who could give me proper information gave me the same description: A giant black monster with a gaping mouth on its stomach and something red on its head, fighting a swarm of flying laser-firing robots and trainers. I also contacted the nearest Aether Foundation facility to pick up the drone parts,

Man in White: You got anything else, or was it just witness stories and metal junks?

Krieg: Well, I talked to some scientists, and they gave me photos and video footages. Here.

-Krieg sends the video footages and the photos to the man in white-

Man in white: Holy shit..... is that UB 05?

Krieg: I'll leave you to analyzing those photos and videos.

-Krieg glances to the Route 12's direction and see's a blue haired girl in black clothes with a Liepard and an Alolan Rattata.-

Krieg: Hang up, I found a trainer that matches the description of one the trainers the witness saw.

Man in white: Great, be careful.

Krieg: Yeah yeah, I heard you the 13th time.

-Krieg closes his com and walks over to the Blue-haired trainer-

Krieg: Excuse me, may I ask you some questions?

-Mezzo scratches her head-

Mezzo: You're gonna need to be a bit more specific than that. I've encountered a lot of giant mysterious creatures.

-Krieg sighs and thinks: I ain't paid enough for this shit.-

Krieg: Big, Black, Mouth full of black spiky teeth on the stomach with crab hands coming out of it? Oh, and also something red on its head.

Mezzo: Oh, that thing! Yeah, I saw that weird Hydreigon. I tried having my own Hydreigon attack it and it just ran off. I like to think she scared it away.
