I'm interested, and I have been meaning to read the books (they're sitting there looking mournfully at me). But I don't think I'd be able to do more than once a week.
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrI've never played a game of FATE before, but I have read the Dresden books and I've made several characters by myself in boredom (sans phase aspects of course) so I'd be interested in this.
Also, I vote IRC and I think we should make our own city, if no on else likes that I back heartsinger on making it Seattle.
Fnord.I actually really want to play a Battle Butler to another character, does anyone want to take me up on this offer?
Fnord. If not the dragon emissary, I guess I'd go with a minor talent as well or focused practitioner, either specializing in precision magic or if it's possible coming "naturally hardwired" for combat like the White court vamps do, possibly by some sort of Intellectus.

I could ask around. I have a friend in the Naruto D 20 group I'm with who I got to read the books who might be interested

Dresden Files, a series about a Chicago-based privat eye who also happens to be a wizard and his adventures, battling vampires of various kinds, faeries, less benign wizards and other beasties. Also, he once rode a polka-powered zombie T-Rex through Chicago in a blackout to stop a Dark God from gaining power, but this RPG will not be about him.
So yes, I'm thinking, why not do a Dresden Files RPG in the Dresden Files RPG system
, either here in the forum or on IRC, Vent or Skype is also an option. I'm thinking a schedule of sort might be a good idea, to minimize the time zone problems there might be. Some knowledge of the Dresden universe is a plus, but let's be honest, if you have the book, you probably know enough.
When it comes to city creation and such, I'm thinking we'll try it the way the book suggests, e.g with the players and the DM cooperating to flesh out the details of the city the game will be set in. I have some ideas, but I'm open to suggestions. If people want to leave the planning to the DM, well, I guess that's ok too, but you get what you pay for
So, anyone up for this? Regardless of which town we end up playing in, I promise shenanigans, action and occasional showers of horror.
