I actually think the movie was better than most of the episodes at that point in the series.
The newest season is also really good, probably one of the best since the show's prime.
Why I am afraid of fences.I loved it. It was a lot of what made the golden age great. And I actually felt some genuine emotion from Marge's voice acting.
Though that Irish kid (forgot his name) for all intents and purposes might as well not have even existed. He literally did nothing for the plot, or even the humor. Lisa deserved better focus than just more soapboxing. And the President Schwarzenegger thing would have been better if it was just Reinner Wolfcastle.
But overall, a great movie
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Nah it felt like a Season 11 episode that wasn't "Alone Again Natura-Diddly", "Take My Wife,Sleaze", or "Behind the Laughter" aka disjointed, loaded more with frat-style humor,Jerkass Homer who goes through a Deus ex Machina to resolve the problem, and the whole EPA plot with Russ and Schwarzeneggar,REALLY? The only good part was Homer riding the dome and Grand Theft Walrus
It wasn't a return to the Golden Ages [That would be Seasons 21 and 22],it was simply more of the same. Not that I'm surprised, part of it was written by Mike Scully and Josh Weinstein had no part in it to balance it out.
I know this is an unpopular but honestly,it just wasn't good at all.

It was awesome. You gotta love Russ Cargill.
Flunky: Sir, I'm afraid you've gone mad with power.
Cargill: Of course I have! You ever tried going mad without power? It's boring; no one listens to ya.
Oh, and even people who really bash on the latest Simpsons season usually find one or two episodes they like each year. Since the movie was, what, four years in the making? they had time fine-tune it into hitting that sweet spot.
