Games I'm getting in the next two months, and their lengths.
Dark Souls: 50-60 hours.
Skyward Sword: 50-100 hours.
Skyrim: holy fucking hell hours.
There's not enough time...

Infinite Tree: an experimental storySo what covenant you guys going with?
http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Covenants
I'm going Warriors of Sunlight.
The Forest Hunter looks really interesting to me. From an RP stand-point, it's perfect since I consider my characters all true neutrals.
And from a gameplay stand-point : Fuck yeah, I'm a Forest Guardian Spirit :D
I do hope however that the enemies don't attack you in the end part of the forest tho, otherwise it might get annoying...
The path of the dragon looks nice too. I mean, DRAGON!

Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.
That egg...worm...THING. What the fuck. WHAT. THE. FUCK!
Wait, so I can be a Knight In Shining Armour and champion a princess?
This honestly just keeps getting better.
No, I have not. I'm quite happy to wait until I get there in game.
In any case, how well she can defend herself is beside the point. I can be a knight and champion a princess! 83
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchOkay. So pre-ordering this and Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny in a couple hours when Game Stop opens.
My only problem is that you can not pause. I understand during online play...but even single player? You know, I have to use the bathroom and cough up mucus and and stuff because of my CF...I feel like I get in trouble for that. Like the game is punishing me. -_-'
Still that adds to the game. I set aside time just for it. Demon's Souls....got past the first boss....maybe the second. I eventually got rid of it because I couldn't commit.
That will not be the case with this game.
I've also been talking to Phil Kollar from Game Informer a lot about it...the review will be out this week but he did tell me(I guess it's okay to say...not like he told me to keep it hush hush or whatever) that if you liked Demon's Souls, you will positively NEED to buy this.
Also, you can still kill merchants, but now it takes 2-5 hits in a row to kill them. No more accidental deaths of NP Cs. You'll have to REALLY try and kill them.
"You have CF? Need a break to get a tissue because you coughed up mucus? You got sick? TOO FUCKING BAD BITCH, BETTER FIND A SAFE SPOT!"
Again...so fucking annoying...but somehow...so satisfying. I know I'm a masochist but even if I wasn't, I think it would still be satisfying. There is just something great about a game challenging you to master it.
To be fair, we all experience a form of that in terms of toilet break requirements.
And that said, campfire locations are usually safe. Usually.
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchIf this is like Demon's Souls, the biggest challenge may well be dealing with the economic system. If you mastered that in DS, then the game wasn't honestly that hard.
Of course, having played Monster Hunter, I was used to punishing bosses and using weapons that imposed limitations via the animation.
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — WatchI know, right? It took a while for the penny to drop for me.
Kind of amazing how similar the combat systems are, yet only now do we realise. The Souls games are very much Monster Hunter with stat customisation.
