He rips out your heart, reducing you by a tenth... and yup, killing you. After about ten seconds, that is. Hey, Talking Is a Free Action.

The common incorrect usage of decimate would be a lot better if decimate meant "reduce to one tenth."

Pretend there's something clever written here.

Right. Let's do this!

  • Name: Sauron ; Gorthaur the Cruel. Sometimes calls himself Tar-Mairon.

  • Franchise: The Simarillion, with some aspects of his character taken from Tolkien’s other writings.
  • Appearance: He is a shapeshifter, and thus his appearance can vary, but his usual form is that of a tall figure in black armor, a la Peter Jackson films. He radiates a great heat, at times enough to kill by mere touch, and his skin beneath appears to be black and burned. An aura of sheer malevolence surrounds him.(Tolkien never described his ‘usual form’; therefore I am mostly making it up/inferring it.)
  • Weapons: Once again, it varies, but in physical combat he generally wields a large spiked mace. Again, a la PJ films.
  • Powers/Abilities/Bio: One of the Maiar, angelic beings just a step below the Valar, he was one of the greatest servants of Aule, Vala of Craft – then he fell to darkness in the service of Melkor in his relentless search for order and efficiency. Now his lieutenant, Sauron possesses great mastery of sorcery, being able to shapeshift, create illusions and dominate the wills of lesser beings. He is titled “the lord of werewolves”, is associated with fire, and having been a Maia of Aule, possesses great skill in crafting and smithing, as well as the great strength of will and body that comes with his rank. In his physical form, he is skilled in close-combat – but it is not his forte.
  • Personality: In the beginning, Mairon was a lover of order and craft, mighty in the service of Aule. However, the perceived inaction of the Valar led him astray, and he fell under Melkor’s sway, seeing in him a will to act and to reorder Creation as he saw fit. Over time, he became even as his master – cruel and hard, with a desire to dominate the wills of others. Torture is his realm, and he will use this method to extract information whenever he can. Despite his downfall and corruption, Sauron, “the abomination”, continues to use the name of Mairon, “the admirable”, showing that he still sees his actions to be an attempt at instilling order. Free from Morgoth's influence, he will attempt to rule this new realm he finds himself in - for his own glory.

Name: Rezo, The Red Priest

Franchise: Slayers

Weapons/Powers/Abilities/: Rezo is trained in the three branches of magic; Black, White, and Shamanistic. He is better trained in White magic though, given his beginnings as a healer. He has a staff that he is able to channel his spells through, but that doesn't seem to add anything other then a focus for his spells. He also has a very good understanding of magic, even those he is not familiar with.

Personality: Rezo is a quiet and gentle man, always has a pleasant expression on his face. Often times he will heal people without even needing to be asked. Despite all of this though, he is oddly okay with taking sacrifices for the greater good of the choices. He is a bit occupied with being unable to see, but that shouldn't be a problem....probably.

Levistus, Prince of Stygia.

  • Franchise: the Dungeons and the Dragons.
  • Appearance: A rather tall and handsome figure with pale skin, dark hair and a goatee, Levistus seems human at first glance. Look closer, however, and certain elements of his appearance betray his true diabolical nature—even in the hottest and driest of weather his otherwise-immaculate clothes are sodden with water and bits of ice, his fingernails almost seem more akin to bestial claws than those of a human being, and his eyes are solid black with neither iris nor pupil. Furthermore, his teeth are pointed and incredibly sharp, though given that he does not often bare them one can be forgiven for overlooking this aspect at first.
  • Weapons: Apart from his aristocratic, ice-encrusted vestments, Levistus wields a rapier made of cold iron, allowing it to bypass the natural protection most otherworldly beings have against physical attacks. The blade is also enchanted to inflict grievous and lasting wounds on those unfortunate enough to taste its edge; as a result, it can be considered a magical weapon.

In addition to the archdevil’s distinctive blade Levistus is also equipped with a ring of protection and bracers of armour, magical items which surround his unholy form in an invisible and near-imperceptible energy field which makes actually landing a blow on his person rather difficult.

Powers and Abilities

The creature that will appear in Twilight of the Gods is merely an aspect of Levistus; the true Lord of the Fith remains trapped within his iceberg prison on the layer of Stygia, imprisoned there by Asmodeus for his actions during the Reckoning of Hell, and not even the Nomads, for all their vaunted power, are capable of freeing him from that particular punishment. Nevertheless, though it wields only a fraction of the power possessed by its true self the Aspect of Levistus is nonetheless an entity of considerable might and threat.
  • As with all devils, Levistus is completely immune to all forms of fire and poison; he could be immersed in lava for thousands of years or get blasted right in the face with the fiery breath of an enraged red dragon, and by the end of it his clothes would not even be singed. In addition to this his imprisonment in a massive block of ice has conferred upon his Aspect an extreme resistance to cold and ice-based attacks, and he is also resistant to acids and corrosives to a lesser extent. Furthermore, his otherworldly and diabolical nature makes it extremely difficult for spells cast by other beings to affect him. Finally, despite his outward appearance the Aspect of Levistus is extremely durable, able to withstand physical punishment that would reduce a mere human to paste a thousand times over and flat-out shrug off any attacks not strong enough to pierce his unholy epidermis; only weapons that are strongly aligned with good or made of silver are able to overcome his insane durability and damage Levistus normally—and even then, he heals at a truly alarming speed, to the point where he can regrow severed limbs within a matter of minutes or simply reattach them to the corresponding stumps.
  • In addition to the above, the Aspect of Levistus is a swordsman of superlative skill; he wields his wounding rapier with such finesse that he lands crippling blows to vulnerable parts of his opponents' bodies far more often than not, and he can easily disarm his enemies when the whim takes him. He also incorporates acrobatic leaps, abrupt surges and sudden withdrawals into his fighting style, making his attacks rather unpredictable and difficult to dodge, and when fighting defensively he parries with such speed and alacrity that he is nearly impossible to hit.
  • Though much of his fighting style revolves around dueling with singular opponents, Levistus can also employ a limited pool of innate spell-like abilities to level the playing field should his adversaries decide to gang up on him. At his discretion, the Aspect of the lord of the fifth layer can do the following:
    • Ensorcel an individual into thinking that he is a trusted friend and ally;
    • create an invisible magical sensor at a specific location within 1200 feet of himself that allows him to evesdrop, either sonically or visually, on whatever may be happening there, for a maximum duration of 20 minutes;
    • dispel magic;
    • teleport to any place that has at the very least been described reliably and accurately to him;
    • call down a brief but intense rain of magical hailstones over a small area of his choosing;
    • create a complex illusion which incorporates sight, sound, smell and even thermal imaging (that lasts only so long as he maintains concentration and gives controlling the illusion his full and undivided attention; if his concentration is broken, it lingers for a few moments before breaking up);
    • scry on a being for up to 20 minutes;
    • alter his vision to see any invisible or ethereal creatures within his visual range as translucent shapes for a period of 200 minutes;
    • and conjure thick walls of magical ice that last for twenty minutes and can cover an area of up to 200 square feet.
    • Also, three times per day he can engulf himself and up to 20 allies within 20 feet of himself in a profane and unholy aura which lasts for up to 12 minutes, makes them highly resistant to spells cast by good-aligned creatures, offers some protection against physical attacks and causes anyone who attacks those enshrouded by this aura to become physically weaker for a brief time as punishment for their insolence.
  • In addition to speaking Celestial, Common, Draconic and Infernal, the Aspect of Levistus can communicate telepathically with any creature in a 100-foot radius.
  • And finally, Levistus can summon lesser devils independantly of the All-Lair's minion-summoning properties. Twice per day, he can summon a pair of gelugons (ice devils in the common tongue) or attempt to summon a single pit fiend; in both cases, the summoned devil remains at his side for 1 hour or until slain, and cannot employ their own ability to summon their diabolical inferiors.

Biography

An ancient being of immense power and malice, Levistus is an archdevil—one of the nine most powerful devils in existence—and Prince of Stygia, the frozen sea that serves as the fifth layer of the Nine Hells. While his origins have long since been shrouded in myth and much of his existence remains unknown—perhaps even unknowable—as a consequence, it is known that tens of thousands of years ago, he was imprisoned within a vast iceberg by Asmodeus for the crime of murdering Bensozia, the consort of Asmodeus and perhaps the only being the supreme devil has ever truly cared for.

Furthermore, his becoming the ruler of Stygia is in actuality a fairly recent development; Geryon, the original ruler of the layer, was deposed by Asmodeus during the Reckoning of Hell and he turned the reins of power over to Levistus in a rather baffling gesture of clemency...though some, Levistus among them, believe that his ascension to the position of Lord of the Fifth was merely part of a ploy by Asmodeus to empower his daughter Glasya with the essence of an archdevil who was no longer needed, thereby making Levistus a simple and unwitting pawn in one of the supreme devil's schemes.

His body has remained trapped there ever since, though even with his humiliating imprisonment Levistus is still an active force both in the Hells of Baator and beyond, able to bestow powers upon his mortal clerics as a sign of his favour and make his presence known on other layers and planes via the use of Aspects much like this one.

Personality

Frustrated by his degrading imprisonment and incensed by the mockery of his fellow archdukes, Levistus despises all of his peers but especially Asmodeus, a feeling that is entirely mutual. He longs for the day when he can truly be free of his frigid prison and enacts countless plots to undermine the courts of the other archdevils in preparation for his liberation; at the same time, he makes deals with other fiends and uses his Aspects to recruit mortal worshippers into his fold, all part of what he considers 'setting the stage' for his release and the reckoning that will follow.

As one might expect of such a powerful devil, Levistus is a rather charming and charismatic individual, possessed of a silver tongue and considerable powers of persuasion. In combat he is honourable, always offering to duel a single opponent at a time; he fights fairly so long as his opponent does likewise, but if they try to attack him all at once he holds nothing back and has no qualms about destroying them utterly.

Despite this seeming nobility, one must keep in mind that Levistus, of course, is a devil; the man is evil through and through, and will have no qualms whatsoever about manipulating his 'fellow' overlords to get what he desires and then discarding them when they are no longer useful.

And there we go; one Aspect of an Archdevil, ready for your inspection. Note that I opted to take out one of his abilities—the power to permanently alter and manipulate a person's memory with but a touch—because I considered that to be just a tad too powerful. Also, note that his spells which involve the manipulation of people's minds, attitudes and/or senses can be resisted if one's will is sufficiently strong; for that reason, not all the overlords will be at the same level of risk as others should he turn against them.

Name: OOO (The Ancient King)

Franchise: Kamen Rider OOO

Skills/Powers/Abilities: The King has access to three Core Medals, ancient medals infused with the power of desire. The Taka Medal grants him telescopic vision. The Tora Medal grants him access to the Tora Claws, indestructible wrist mounted claws with devastating tearing force. The Batta Medal grants him the ability to leap leagues with a single bound. Together, they form the Ta To Ba Combo, the Armor of the King. There are other Core Medals, but when OOO was pulled into this world, they were scattered to the winds. Perhaps he shall find them on these challenges… History/Personality: OOO is-

Er-hem. Allow me to introduce myself.

…Fine.

Thank you. I am a man of wealth and taste… And desire. My name is OOO, pronounced Ohz, but you may call me King. In fact, you will call me King.

I was born blessed; with both power and the desire for more. After all, there is only one reason for having power, and that is to accrue more. Desire fuels life, fuels the universe, and I was only too happy to do my part.

And so I created the O-Medals. Using Alchemy, I created life in the form of 5 beings, each composed of 10 medals. All 5 were without desire, and so without life. And so I took one medal from each of them, made them incomplete. I gave them the desire to be complete yet again, a desire that could only be filled by devouring all they could find. And that desire fueled the medals, gave them the infinite power they hold within them. And so I took those medals from the beings, whom I had christened “Greeed.” I took their power from my own, and once I had one of each of the three varieties of medals from each of the five, I turned their power into the Armor of the King. In my haste for power, I attempted to claim the power of all 15 medals at once, and the power overwhelmed me. I was tossed through the worlds, the medals scattered to the wind, until I found myself amongst a group of those beings who, like me, would be called villains. I travel with them now, biding my time until I reclaim all the medals, and subjugate both them and all the worlds under my thumb.

OOO was a being possessed of such avarice that the Greeed, beings literally composed of nothing but desire, viewed him as TOO greedy. He will never be satiated until he has everything that has and will exist. His greed compels him to scheme and view his allies as mere pawns until the day they become either slaves or trophies.

Appearance:

Human: (Sorry, but the human form of the king was never revealed, so here's how I picture him.) [1]

Weeeeeeeell, there's "Not Invincible" and then there's "Regular guy who's good with a sword" (Soul Series vampires aren't very impressive...) which would make him pretty obsolete.

Okay, final answer: Gorgutz and Nuada (a solid Type Two)
