Pidgeotto gets it a level earlier. I'm already bringing my Espeon up to 36, my Graveler up to 33, my Gyarados up to 35, and my Flaaffy up to 31.
I could just delay the evolution (like I am with Darrel the Flaaffy so he learns Discharge faster) and give her Wing Attack, and save my Pluck TM for something else.

Crash and burn! Nuzlocke is a cruel, cruel game when you don't know what's coming.
RIP
- ITSJUSTNOT the Cricketune (Died trying to take on a Duskox and Pachirisu by itself. Teach your Chansey how to wall, Natelie.)
- GODDAMNBAT the Zubat (Forgot what type it was and switched into a Kedabra like a noob.)
- GEOCHICK (WHY THE FUCK DOES JUPITER's ZUBAT HAVE GIGADRAIN?)
- PINGU the Prinplup (Stupidly attacked a pokemon using Bide. Screwed by the RNG.)
GAME OVER (Can no longer use Cut to get to the next area)

Avoid areas? Why? I just catch and box them.
It looks like I could have caught a Drifloon if I waited until next friday before fighting anything in Valley Windworks. But I didn't get the hint about that until after I caught some otter pokemon.

Oh, I see.
My Bidoof in my Platinum Nuzlocke (which has stalled seeing as I can't find my Platinum game) died because I had her up against a Kricketot that was using Bide. I though I could kill it before it hit me.
I thought wrong. I became very sad and my team was reduced to only a Starly and Turtwig.

Aren't I supposed to perma-box it? To be honest, I'm looking for reasons to stop this run and try another one when I'm not playing blind. I don't know how to prepare for a boss fight when I don't know what pokemon are going to be used or what overpowered moves are going to be put on a standard mon which I can barely survive using a mon that resists them!
Basically, I'm still bitter that I've been pushed into Trial-and-Error Gameplay, but without a chance to try again.

Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsI don't even get the luxury of a comprehensive wiki. The World Link wiki has a character list and what the gym leaders use, but you get nothing beyond that. You aren't told movesets, evolutionary lines, how to evolve, nothing.
I wasn't expecting Brawly to use an ice type nor did I think that Roxanne would use the rock type equivalent of Hyper Beam twice in a row. Sure I got lucky with both, but I'm not complaining.

I'm confused. I don't remember Brawly or Roxanne using those (In Ruby). Is that an Emerald thing?
Of course, it's one thing to have pokemon with awesome moves early. It's another when those pokemon could have literally any move it is capable of learning by TM (so you need to guess which types it's going to use).
You don't see me complaining about facing a parichisu and a moth with gust, absorb and poison sting at the same time (that had super effective type coverage over all my pokemon). Those moves make sense. If Brawly had a Fighting pokemon using Fire Blast, then I'd be pissed.
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsI don't think Bulbapedia has anything on this.

So, are there any rules regarding the Safari Zone?

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
