I know that, and that's the only thing stopping me from making a deal with a devil, and swapping my two zigzagoons for Mononoke and Scarry.

Read my stories! Thanks. I think I'm going to drop it for a while. Try and emotionally distance myself. Then come back when I'm bored and don't care anymore.

Read my stories!I guess...the real question is...is this honestly any fun? I have my challenges. I am a pokémon catcher. I caught all 493 pokémon in HGSS, and I am happily filling out my BW pokédex.
I guess it's the challenge that makes it fun.
But if I wanted a challenge, I'd go to the task of learning how to breed and EV train.
...
Hm. This requires further pondering.
Read my stories!^^Nuzlocke and minmaxing are very different.
Nuzlocke is a harder mode of playing: you have to use lower-tier pokemon and even sometimes are forced into battles without a full 6 mon team.
While breeding the ultimate pokemon is a grind: grinding up parents, hatching several eggs until the luck gives needed natures, walk around pounding on needed low level wild mons...
It's challenge is being time-consuming. While Nuzlocke is far less grindy* and more emotionally grabbing.
I know they are very different. I know exactly what they are, thank you very much.

Read my stories!Because even if they are mechanically different, there are still both something that I have not done, and are a challenge.
It all comes down to which one I would enjoy more. You can tell me all you like about how swimming is different than ballet, so I can't compare the two, but if I need to join a sport and want to choose what will be best for m, I think I can compare the two.
Read my stories!I love my Nuzlocke. Though I almost cried when my Butterfree died. I loved Eli so much. : (
My only other casualty was a Growlithe I named after my best friend's dog. She wasn't with me long, but when that goddamned Bayleef killed her, I was like "GODDAMNIT DIANA KILL IT DEAD NOW I WANT IT DEAD".
And when Eli died, I sent out George the then-Geodude. He immediately used Magnitude 10.
Right now, I'm around Olivine, grinding until Ian learns Psybeam. My team is:
- George the lvl 27 Graveler: Magnitude, Rollout, Rock Blast, Defense Curl
- Apollo the lvl 27 Togetic: Yawn, Charm, Extrasensory, Headbutt
- Ian the lvl 30 Espeon: Shadow Ball, Swift, Quick Attack, Helping Hand
- Rage the lvl 25 Gyarados: Bite, Tackle, Dragon Rage, Splash
- Diana the lvl 23 Pidgeotto: U-Turn, Quick Attack, Gust, Twister
- Darrel the lvl 28 Flaaffy: Thundershock, Charge, Tackle, Growl
Off to a solid start.
My team:
- Oliver the Mudkip, level 11
- Iyashi the Dustox, level 10
- Morrison the Ralts, level 9 Yep, first Pokemon I saw on Route 102.
- Sammy the Zigzagoon, level 8
- Dmitri the Poochyena, level 6
- Maggie the Poochyena, level 6
She was the first Pokemon I caught......and she saved Morrison when he was left with 1 HP after a critical.
-goes into Petalburg Woods-
Hurm, Shroomish?

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.It depends. The way I'm doing it, I'm not allowed to catch any pokemon in the same evolutionary line if I have already caught one, regardless of whether it survives or not.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonI'm doing it so I can try again if I already have a Pokemon or one in its evolutionary line than I can try again. But I can still catch the same Pokemon twice if I choose too.

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.If my Pidgeotto dies, I'm just sticking my Zubat in the daycare. I like the Zubat line better than the Pidgey line any day.
-knocks on wood-
NOT THAT I WANT DIANA TO DIE SHE'S MY FAKE STARTER SINCE I'M DOING NO STARTER.
Also, should I give Diana Pluck when I find it, or just let her learn Wing Attack. (At lvl 38? Seriously? What does Game Freak have against the Pidgey line?)
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!

—hugs back—
I guess I might as well impliment that no duplicates rule at this point. I don't think I want to bother catching yet ANOTHER zigzagoon.
