This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I think a Superior Captain America could have been a good excuse to have the government take another swing at a government controlled Cap.
But Sam was probably Cap at that time and it would have sucked to have his go interrupted or shared.
Edit: Wait, no. Just googled and it was the dimension Z stuff. By all means, superior it up, Cap

Forever liveblogging the Avengers(With apologies to anyone who's already seen this on other Marvel forum threads)
For anyone who's editing Spider-Man or other Marvel pages, we've now got a long-term project thread on the forums (here
) for supporting tropers with edits on Marvel's comics, webcomics and manga, which may be of use.
And if you want to point out any Marvel works/characters pages that would benefit from expansion or rewrites, that'll be a good place to flag them for other tropers' attention.
Thanks!

The next asm issue leaked. We finally have a conclusion to the hellfire gala stuff. Peter and Logan succeed in rescuing mj and then Peter offers to get a coffee with her and she says he knows why she can't and that its not about him ifs about responsibility and she thought he'd understand that. So we are keeping the mystery box garbage going full speed ahead.

Well, that just sounds utterly obnoxious. A mystery where the characters don't know the truth? Cool! Great! A mystery where the characters know full well what's going on but the reader is kept in the dark? I'm actually going to call that shitty, lazy writing. When characters start talking around the thing without ever saying what the thing is, just to get readers wondering what the thing is? Nah, that's lazy. That's a half-assed way of drumming up reader interest. It shows a lack of confidence in the actual story. It implies that the story isn't actually interesting enough on its own, so artificial drama is added in by trying to drum up reader speculation. It's a gimmick, and a shitty one at that.
If the characters know something, the readers should know it. They shouldn't have to wait the better part of a year to find out. Knock off the bullshit, and just get to the fucking reveal.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics."Wouldn't it be cool if Juggernaut fell out of the sky and said the word onslaught?"
"Who did it?"
"You're missing the point. Wouldn't it be cool??"
Forever liveblogging the AvengersEdge of Spider-Verse#3 (Felicia as the Night Spider)
Too much success with her powers bores Felicia so much she reveals her identity to her nemesis Jean De Wolf (who's also her best friend) and surrenders to the police, but before she's led away, Anya shows up and tells her she's needed in the Spider-Verse to pull off a heist and she escapes
Oh hey. Sakura Spider's in this, neat.
These stories are kind of bleh, though. Putting three stories in each issue makes them feel really barebones and whatever - the Spider-Gwen issue felt like a checklist of Spider-Gwen story beats.
Night Spider story was somewhat interesting, though I dislike that her story is entirely divorced from Peter.
Miles
is returning to his original costume for his December relaunch, Cody Ziglar is the new writer

Spider-Man 60th Anniversary Panel at D23 was mainly a run down of significant moments in Spider-Man history hosted by Nick Lowe and CB Cebulski.
They talked a bit about the urban myths surrounding Stan's involvement in Gwen's death (he knew before heading off for Vacation), Lowe got the name of MJ's wedding dress designer wrong ("Willie BROWN", ugh), Cebulski regards the marriage as a long-lived phase of Peter's life where he was at his happiest. OMD is briefly mentioned as a lightning rod for debates that rage on to this day, and that the internet should not be trusted when it comes to the reception of Superior Spider-Man.
