This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Was that set before the issue of amazing? Or was Peter just being preemptively pissy since his Spider-sense warned him DD was going to hit that?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDouble posting because why not. Also, I'm sorry about double posting.
I have received Amazing Spider-Man 678 and 679. I'm slightly annoyed that the Black Cat story did not get tied up in Amazing. I somewhat feel that if you're going to start a story in one comic title, you shouldn't just end on a cliffhanger and then move on to something completely different. So does anyone want to tell me how Spider-Man and Daredevil solve the mystery of the whatever was going on?
Anyway, yeah. I Killed Tomorrow. It was a good story. Possibly even great.
I was a little annoyed by the "Spider-Man is gone for a day? HUGE CATASTROPHE" but the second part totally justified it. I was also somewhat annoyed by Madame Web showing up for the umpteenth time to cryptically tell Spider-Man the rules of the game but I was amused that she showed up in casual clothes.
Mary Jane showing up to inadvertently cue in Peter that it was a thing that Peter Parker needed to do to save the day instead of Spider-Man is a nice continuation of that thing from Spider-Island where she basically did the same thing. Mary Jane: Professional Reminderer. I didn't really like Peter's job at the lab before (my brother made an interesting point that one of the things One More Day was supposed to do was make Peter more relatable and then they give him a super science job with a ridiculously flexible schedule) but I'm warming up to it. The people at the lab are an interesting supporting cast and Peter should be doing something in his civilian identity to improve the world. Or something.
Some good humor in here too. And the splash title page in 679 was pretty striking.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDaredevil, Spider-man and Black Cat huh? Reminds me of the "Evil that men do" storyline, A.k.a the rape storyline.
And I think the whole super lab job and One More Day is the story going back and forth between the writers who think "relatable" means "take away everything good from him and make him miserable" and writers who want to give him a break.
Oh, a reference that I picked up, Spider-Man finally uncovers the mystery of F.A.C.A.D.E* from waaaaaaay back but is too busy to listen to it.
The editor's note on the panel even acknowledges that probably nobody cares anymore. Nice touch.
And on a similar note, the title page changing "The World's Greatest Super Hero!" to "The World's Worst Super Hero!" for 678 was a nice touch too.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo I got 680 and 681. Its a pretty cool two-parter. It has some good banter between the Human Torch* and Spider-Man. And some Ock getting all tired of all these superheroes on his space station that he rightfully stole.
I do wonder what his evil master plan is and what would be so important that he would spend his last weeks of life on it. I also wonder if he's really going to die. I guess I'd best stay tuned.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWait, who's going to die? And the Human Torch is back ''already''?

That seems to be the kind of death that a member of the Fantastic Four would have. There's a funny bit from 680 where Torch doesn't want to team up with Spider-man because he has so much TV to catch up on.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersCan we talk about Ultimate Spiderman here? Because I just read the first three paperback volumes of Ultimate Comics: Spiderman and I want to discuss them.
I actually really like it and I'm disappointed that Peter gets killed offnext volume. Don't know about you guys but I'd definitely read about the continuing adventures of Spiderman, Spiderwoman, Iceman, Human Torch, Shadowcat, and (maybe) Bombshell.

You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Death of Spider-man is an amazing arc, so at least you can take solace in that. It's clear the writer (Who's name escapes me)understands the philosophy of Spider-man, how even when he's broken he has to get back up to fight, just because he can.
And frankly I think Miles is a good replacement. He feels like spidey-man, but also different. as he should. His comic is a slow burn though.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!Speaking of similar titles, has anyone seen the new Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon yet?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHmm the current ASM Arc seems interesting. Just for Spider-Man slugging Al Gore. Okay Impostor-Al Gore.
But seriously...Angela Merkel in Spider-Man (if just a panel)? Shocked the hell out of me to see her...I don't expect her outside of native media! (though, interesting of Stefano Caselli to do that instead of generic guy.)

"You can reply to this Message!"Just watched the first two episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man. I have mixed feelings.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
That actually was very similar to the impression that I got. That and that Spider-Man sounded like Sonic from that old cartoon.
I'd recommend it. Its actually really good.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers

It ends with Daredevil sleeping with Black Cat.
