This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

TIL: The video game Web of Shadows has a Karma Meter system... represented in part by Spidey's love interest! "Good" choices steer you toward MJ, "bad" ones toward Felicia.
It kinda works in context. Peter is already in a relationship with MJ, and siding with Felicia basically means cheating. Literally in one case, Felicia invites you to an all-but-outright-said one night stand, and the good option means being faithful while the bad means cheating.
It gets stupid in one endgame choice though. You just beat up Black Cat in her symbiote boss fight and MJ flies in and tells you to leave. You have to choice between MJ and Black Cat again, but it's framed like choosing to let Black Cat die or save her. She lives either way, but it happens right before the Point of No Return, so picking one basically means you're stuck into the good or evil ending unless you grind out karma points before you swing a couple blocks to the next story mission. That moment was very poorly designed.

Ironically, you can actually stay loyal to MJ while doing bad choices.
Just don't pick the black suit options for Felicia which there are 2, the first one where she proposes an alliance, and the one after her symbiote boss fight where you hand her over to MJ instead of giving her a piece of the suit.
The evil ending here has Spider-Man go full Yandere for MJ while conquering New York with an army of Symbiotes and vowing to make her into his symbiote bride.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"
Yeah I remember those.
The game was just weird about how it frames the choices.
Like, you need a ride to get to Ryker's and have to choose between Moon Knight or Vulture to get you there. It changes nothing, you just decide whether you carpool with a good guy or villain. Then after you get an option to release Rhino. It's framed like the good option keeps Rhino locked up while the bad enlists him. No, the outcome is the same and he's released. All that changes is whether Spidey says "Play nice now okay?" or "Tell them I'm to blame!"
#IceBearForPresidentHah. Jameson finally notices when Spidey isn't being himself. I guess it makes sense since he knows it's Peter, but that kinda implies he could always tell when Peter wasn't the real deal, but ignored it.
One Strip! One Strip!TIL Spider-Man is weak to cocaine
.
I love this comment: "What a second THAT was Ock’s big plan during revenge of the sinister six???? I’ve read like half that story and could never find the rest THAT was his big goal!?!??"

The Protomen enhanced my life.Today I learned poor Mary Jane had been harassed by at least 4 to 5 crazy fans, two of whom kidnapped her and one of whom threatened her with a gun.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah I remember that one plotline with a telepathic stalker mutant who faked her death in a plane crash which was a retcon of an attempt to actually kill MJ so Peter can be single.
We got Revenge of the Green Goblin out of it at least.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

It was such a perfect set of panels too. Spiderman makes his crack, we get a shot of Goblin staring confused before a close up where he just growls "You."
Next shot is Spiderman simply saying "The one and only".
