This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

There are artists that can translate animated designs to comics faithfully (most DCAU comics, Young Justice) or do their own thing that still honors the original (Samurai Jack, Teen Titans Go!, Avatar). This is just sloppy, though. I felt they put more effort in the X-Men 97 or Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man tie-ins Marvel also did.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Who's the artist? Have they done other stuff that looks more normal?
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Maybe put that in spoiler tags since the issue just happened.
Also, how does that even work!?
The Protomen enhanced my life.Wait... No, hold on... Just what does that mean? Like, retroactively?
Read Otr of the Flame (She/Her)This is confusing on both a practical scale and a moral scale.
Like we have the current Gwenpool comic which features a revived original Gwen. How does this effect that?
And on a moral sense, so Gwen basically abandons every and any friend she has on her world and completely uproots her father's life from everything and everyone he knew. And then there's the possibility she stole the lives of an innocent people and erased them from the memories of all their loved ones. Does Peter and MJ no longer remember Gwen now?
This is such a fucking headache and is just a massive degree of character assassination for Gwen.
I hope editorial is happy with the terrible reception and low-ass sales. Everything I heard about this run says it sold terribly all throughout.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I thought it was more that she just inserted herself and her dad into the world instead of replacing the originals but then I realized to do that i think she'd have to replace the originals and now my head hurts.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Keep in mind this book was cancelled at 15 issues. They immediately relaunched it in the hopes this other ratings stunt might get sales back.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wait, hold on, weren't there Gwen Stacy clones running around on Krakoa or something? Would this affect them?
Edit: What about the clone saga? Surely Gwen Stacy being alive and a superhero would change that?

Read Otr of the Flame (She/Her)MJ seems to be more inclined to take advantage of Venom's shapeshifting than usual. Almost as much as Eddie used to do.
Which kinda makes sense, that's the Venom power she remembers most. I like it, it's a nice character beat and gives her a distinctive difference from the other hosts.

Marvel in the middle of space with Earth-65 apparently missing behind it: "What world?"

This is why you don't transcribe art styles across mediums.
