This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread
which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules
- tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Spider-Man Reign 2#4
Kitty Kat is not the daughter of Miles and Felicia. She's Miles and Gwen's daughter, Felicia took her in and raised her on the streets as a foster Aunt after Gwen was killed and Miles was called to deal with a crisis, too preoccupied to come back for her. Kitty is angry at her dad and fights him.
Peter has a vision of 'his' MJ and they have a touching, loving reunion, Peter, believing himself to be in the past, urges MJ to find a life with someone else, but MJ tells him that will never be an option for her, MJ tells Peter he cannot change the past and must focus on the present. Eventually, Miles and Peter succeed in removing the venom symbiote from MJ, she is grateful for Peter saving her life but he is not the one she had lost (or even the one that killed her Peter, so she can't either truly love or hate him), she takes her leave, encouraging Peter and Miles to keep saving lives
Here's an interview with Astonishing Spider-Man's writer, Scott Auckerman
The issues are live now. Looks like Lowe was right when he said Peter and Shay weren't exclusive, Peter's still hung up on MJ and Aunt May reckons he's become 'too available'

So, what are some Spider-Man stories you recommend me for inspiration? I'm something of a guy who likes having the Misery Builds Character trope defied, having an openly emotional hero and societal issues too and so forth. With heavy doses of Sci-fi to boot.
"Cynicism is not realistic and tough. It's unrealistic and kind of cowardly because it means you don't have to try.""Doomed Affairs" is a good one if you want a glimpse into how Peter defines how close he is to MJ and gives his reasons why she centres him.
"The Conversation" for the relationship between Peter and his Aunt after she discovers his identity and they have a talk that many LGBQT readers have said enabled them to come out to their own family members
Or the issue of the original Ultimate Spider-Man where Peter reveals his identity to Mary Jane and they make the transition from best friends to a couple.
Now that Zeb Wells' ASM run is almost done, we know where he's headed:
To Image Comics, for its new Giant Generator imprint as established by Rick Remender.
Yes, and it's happened during his tenure with the Avengers as well. And even though he was only a reserve member of the Avengers for the longest time (at least until he became a full member in Bendis's New Avengers), he did end up taking part in some space-based events like the original Secret Wars and The Infinity Gauntlet, too.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryYeah. Pete's done a lot of shit, even before Marvel went Spider-Verse crazy.
He'd been to space, alternate dimensions, probably time travelled (I'm sure he's time travelled, because I bet it'd be harder to name a marvel character who hasn't time travelled), etc, etc.
He's the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man after all, and there are neighbourhoods everywhere.
One Strip! One Strip!Eddie as Carnage is one of those plots you didn't really think would happen but now that it is you wonder why it hasn't.
Sure Eddie had a brief stint as the host during his island adventure but eh.
You know, I've been waiting for the Spiderverse to include Venom in their story. But somehow I wasn't expecting it like this either.

We're over 8 issues in, and the Jameson Ben stuff has overshadowed the Peter being a superhero and having a family to deal with his double life.
I think my favorite issue was seeing Peter and his daughter figure out super hero stuff, and that was way back.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"

Has Miles ever fought Electro?
